It worked out very well. Our old unit died out on us and they got it up and running in a few days.

Prompt service both times. The furnace install was a replacement for a similar condensing furnace. The heat pump required a bit more work, but the install took a bit over half the day. The new heat pump is wonderfully quiet.

It went fine. It ended up costing more than I thought. They did a good job. Its a great service, it just cost more than I thought. They did a couple more things. If I had more time I would have priced it out. I probably wouldn't have done that. When you buy your coupon online, you don't price it out or bid. You are kind of stuck now. This is the guy we paid to do the inspection. I am not going to pay someone else to attach a tube to the garage. I really can't tell you. I didn't price it with anyone else. I felt like it was more money than we paid. Once you are stuck in something you paid for, you don't call a company to come out. You do it up front, so you are kind of stuck. They said they didn't find anything that needed to be serviced. It is mostly the price. I don't have any issues with their responsiveness. I think punctuality was fine too. Professionalism was good too. I just need to know everything up front. Its not that they didn't tell me the price, its just that I didn't know it before I bought the coupon. I need to know what the whole thing entails.

They come out in the spring and fall. They do the heating and A/C. They don't do duct cleaning but they also do natural gas fireplaces. They were professional.

Pretty smoothly. They arrived right on time. They were polite and respectful of the house. Although there was some initial challenge finding the correct breaker, it went fairly quickly afterwards. Black Lion was careful and tidy in their work space. There was a hardware upgrade addition that was unexpected (+$20.00) but necessary due to current residential electrical safety code regulations. They were done and gone in less than two hours. Pricing, while not a bargain, was right within the average quoted by multiple other electricians. Another thing I liked, at their phone number listed, they actually had a customer service person answer, quote approximate costs, review questions and schedule the work day. As opposed to a single independent who just has a voice mail that returns your call later that evening or the following day. Personally, I'm happy to pay the extra $2.00 for this immediate live body. I'm busy also! Lastly, be prepared for a longer wait to schedule electrical work. Electricians are like prom queens. They are popular and in demand. I called a dozen places expecting to get service within 3 days....Not !!! The best service date I found was Black Lion and that was one week out. All other companies were 2-3 weeks out. I actually got my 3 day turnaround because I called back to see if anyone had cancelled. Luckily, someone else had dropped out and I got their earlier replacement date.

Electrician answered all of my questions. He was courteous and professional. I was so impressed with the work he did that I hired him to come back and place a new outlet in my garage.

When I tried to book the appointment through the Angie's List website that I was automatically directed to, there was no response. Once I called the appointment was set and apologies were made. When the electrician showed up he told me there would be an additional $160 fee to pull a permit. So now the deal is not such a deal. I wish I had been told up front when the appointment was made that the price would be so much more. The work was done and I had him also install a light fixture and was pleased with the work.

Did not clean correctly and caused a short in furnace. Failed to advise need for pre-filters so electrostatic filters were overworked. They failed to give expert advice and after hiring another furnace company-found out the put in parts not needed. Owner failed to call me as requested. Do not use these outfit as they schisters and do not know furnaces.

I contacted this company for an evaluation and quote and had to wait three weeks for the appointment. They never showed up.

Everyone from Black Lion was prompt, professional, polite and cordial. The new furnace installers told me it would take about four hours to install the furnace, and I really believe the men who told me I needed a new furnace said it wouldn't take long to install a new one, like an hour or so. So I was surprised by the amount of time it was going to take. Also, one of the repairmen said that apparently the initial evaluation of my old furnace that was passed along to him, failed to mention that the shape of the furnace where they would install the filters was different or challenging and so they weren't able to install what they thought they were going to. (this did not affect the furnace being installed, it just had to be done differently) And when I asked about a new control panel being installed inside, which is what the first Black Lion person told me I would get, the repairman said he didn't know anything about that and didn't have a new one with him. Overall, besides being late for work, and not getting a new control panel, the furnace is working very well.

They were punctual, cleaned up their mess, and have been helping to organize the inspections by the county. The only disappointment is that their estimator never mentioned or suggested a zoning system, which we're discovering we have some need for.

They need to treat customers with more respect and give them higher priority. They need to respond to their questions on time. I have asked for more details on the quote twice already and no one has gotten in touch. Even though I was promised on the phone that someone will get back right away. Its been 2 weeks since my initial query. Also I checked the work that was performed. The workmanship is poor and the fix that was applied is not at all working. I feel like my money should be refunded. Really poor experience.
