Dmitri removed and re-installed all the baseboards for us and he even helped my husband with the removal of heavy furniture. He then replaced the damaged wood and refinished if all in 1 day. I was out of town at the time but my husband said he was a detail oriented fast good worker.

I emailed Dmitry to explain our situation and find out what he could do to repair the hardwood floors. He replied to me very quickly and was able to meet me at the home the next day. He explained that he could buff the floor using a very fine screen, without dust, and then apply 2 coats of finish. He explained that our new tenant would have to be out of the home for 2 nights due to the strong fumes of the finish. Our floor had quite a lot of normal wear-and-tear scratches as well as the polish spills, and he indicated that as he buffed the floor to remove the polish spills, some of the scratches would likely be removed as well, but there was no guarantee, and that was not our main concern, even though of course we hoped for that. He measured the floor and gave me a price, offering me an Angie's List discount current at the time. I had gotten a quote from another floor contractor but Dmitry's price was better, offering two coats of finish rather than one. **(I gave them a B for price only due to the fact that the actual work was pretty quick; less than a day of work for the whole process, although, as I said, his price was as good or better than others I had found, and ended up being an excellent choice. I feel the job they did was worth the price.) We scheduled the floor repair to begin in a few days. I believe he actually was able to start the next morning due to a cancellation. Dmitry and his partner showed up at the house on time and worked very quickly. After a few hours they were done with the buffing, had applied the first coat of finish and promised to come back in 2 days to finish up, as agreed. When I looked at it after a day or so, I was very nervous because the finish was very shiny and I knew that a Swedish finish should not be. I called Dmitry with that concern and he very patiently answered my questions and explained that the first coat is shiny but the finished floor would be the matte Swedish finish that I wanted. Not having good luck with contractors thus far, I was pretty reluctant to give him my confidence, but he was very friendly, helpful and professional during every contact. I did not have to wait the two days; they were able to come the next day to finish the process. Again, they showed up as promised, worked quickly and were out, leaving the floor to dry. The next day I opened up the windows and walked on the floor to inspect the job. What I found was, in essence, a new gorgeous hardwood floor. I could not see any of the former scratches on the floor, even though that was not promised nor expected. I was stunned and elated! Could it be that this contractor actually did the quality of work that he claimed to do, at the price agreed? It appeared so. I did notice some small areas that were still shiny and I called Dmitry to let him know. He told me that those areas would become less shiny with wear and would soon look like the rest of the floor. As I was leaving, I did notice what appeared to be a smudge in the finish in the hallway. It was small but noticeable in the right lighting. I called him and he promptly sent his partner to fix it. We did have to work with our tenant to schedule the work but Paul was very quick to repair that area, and the floor is breathtakingly gorgeous. Like I said, just like a new floor. I highly recommend Artistic Hardwood Flooring. He seems to be a very honorable young man, as does his partner, and I could not be happier with the work they did for us. Admittedly I am picky about the jobs that I have done. I expect service contractors to be true professionals, and to do top-notch work. I feel that Dmitry gave us that. And I was most impressed that even after I had paid him, he did not hesitate to come back to fix that spot. Some say they will and it ends up being a nightmare to get them to finish the job right. I was very relieved that this time was different. Thank you Dmitry and Paul!!

Dimitriy overall all of the work and he made sure that everything was done to perfection. He removed the sink where needed. His guys showed up early every morning and got to work all day long. It was long and arduous work but his guys worked tirelessly. The price was good. You are paying for quality so don't be afraid to spend a little more if needed. Dimitriy warned me that the swedish oil is toxic so we should be out of the house. Since the house is empty (we have not moved in yet), this worked out well. If you are currently living in your house, you should find alternate housing for at least a few days when the smell is strongest. The floors should last 10+ years and I am glad that we hired Artistic to get our floors done. I would do business with them again anytime.

Outstanding. Dimitriy and Ben arrived at 9:15 as he said he would. He was finished just after 4 pm and everything was perfect and cleaned up. A fantastic job.

We chose Dmitri both because his was the most professional bid and because there were two excellent reviews about him doing patches where flooring was missing because of earlier changes. We also had a place where part of a wall was torn down, so he found fir wood of the correct dimensions, did the patch and conditioned it well to take the stain the same as the old wood. It looks absolutely beautiful, so I would definitely recommend him for those with patching needs. Working with him was very pleasant and straightforward and professional. I was nervous at a couple of junctures during the work and he handled that well too, very explanatory. I ended up knowing things I wouldn't have otherwise, like the reason to leave it even longer than required without putting the furniture in (the stain needs to set before having different shapes on top of it in order to prevent discoloration under the furniture). Since we can fairly easily pull that off, I appreciated knowing it. In the end, even though Dmitri honored our Angie's List discount, we decided not to take it, we were that happy with the work and we thought his full charge was reasonable for what he did. We don't know when we can get to the next floor refinishing job, but we have already asked Dmitri for an estimate for the living room and dining room. Everyone who has seen the floor he did has called it beautiful.

Dimitri arrived on time as scheduled and quickly and professionly refinished the floors. He also patched an area of the floor where I created a new doorway. The patched wood floor perfectly matches the existing floor. He did a Beautiful job!

Overall, the experience was as painless as it possibly could be for this sort of work. We contacted the contractor, Expert Construction, who did the original floor (about 4 years ago) for a bid on the project. When we determined that we wanted to go with the bid, we asked Expert Construction when it could be done. They had an opening on the following day. The next morning, Dmitry of 1 Artistic Hardwood Flooring (the sub-contractor for Expert Construction) arrived ready to work. We discussed what we wanted done and what we needed to do. Dmitry consulted with us when necessary, was courteous, professional and overall did an excellent job. The finished product blends seamlessly with the original floor, the carpet and baseboards were put back into place and we were able to move back in in just two days.

The overall experience with Dimitri and Artistic Hardwood Flooring was outstanding. The project was completed one day ahead of schedule and the cost was right in line with the estimate. After the removal of the old carpet, we did run into an unforeseen problem with the existing stairs which Dimitri was able to quickly and skillfully correct when installing the new oak. The one concern I had going into the job was how bad the demo (in particular the removal and reinstall of the existing baseboards) would affect the existing paint and drywall. Dimitiri was extremely careful during the demo process and was able to finish the job with zero overall effect on our existing paint and drywall. We?ve had a few days now to overlook the install and it was done flawlessly. I would highly recommend Dimitri and Artistic Hardwood Flooring to anyone need new floors!

Dmitriy arrived at 0900 as scheduled and was very professional and kind. From the time he arrived he went right to work. He did an awesome job!
