Excellent work!! InTown Granite and Marble did an incredible job with our kitchen remodel. I removed my old laminate counters and tile backsplash. That process was a little more than I expected... but I saved some money doing it myself. We visited the InTown showroom after some friends strongly recommended them to us. Afterwards, we visited our friend's new kitchen remodel. We were very impressed with all the options in the showroom and with the work we saw in our friend's kitchen. We picked out the granite and were surprised at how quickly they came to measure, cut, and install the new granite. The counters they installed look fantastic! The scheduling of the install was very quick and the completed work is absolutely top notch. The price was very good and I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for quality stone applications - counters, backsplash, etc. At some future date, after we rebuild our budgets back up, we definitely plan on using them again to tackle our old aging bathrooms.
Description of Work: 82+ square feet of granite counters, 6.25" backsplash, and new sink installed.

We waited 10 years to upgrade our kitchen counters and put a lot of effort into choosing what we thought was the best company to do the job on a budget. Based on the quote and Angie's list reviews, we chose to go with InTown Granite. Their website have us the impression that they are a highly professional establishment; our experience was did not reflect that. Pros: · The staff person we worked with was pleasant · The owner was quick to remedy the many problems we had · The overall price was reasonable Cons: · Quote was based off a square footage estimate that we had to provide (which was not accurate ? no surprise there); company did not come out to do an accurate measurement until after we signed agreement to hire them. The cost ended up being more than original quote. · They gave us a window of days and no specific time of when they would come do the work. We happened to be on vacation the week they said they could do the work. We tried to reschedule the work date, but were told we?d get bumped out considerably. We ended up cutting our vacation short to rush home to get meet the workers who were lounged on our front lawn waiting for us! · Communication was terrible ? I had to probe and push to get accurate and timely information. Might have been a language barrier or maybe just poor communication skills on their part. Caused for a very frustrating experience. · We ended up having to have the workers come out on 3 separate occasions, post initial job, to get the work done right! The initial workers were terribly sloppy and unprofessional. 1. They failed to c*** the seal along the backsplash and wall 2. They chipped part of the backsplash and filled it in with epoxy ? looked really terrible 3. They had to come back to sand down and polish the seam that was very poorly done. 4. We were not warned that the main counter would have two separate slabs. InTown?s explanation was that it was too big to get into our house. I don?t buy excuse since another company that had come and given us an on-site quote said that there?d be no problem getting one solid slab installed. Pretty sure InTown was just trying to use up a remnant slab. 5. The slab patterns did not match ? one was darker than the other and the speckles in the granite varied from one slab to the other. It was as if they didn?t? even try to match the two pieces of granite. One of the slabs had significantly more large blemishes in the stone than the other side, which made it more obvious that there was a seam. 6. The seam finish was uneven and rough to the touch Our experience may just be one bad apple in the bunch, but based on our experience I do no recommend InTown and will not use them again. Our final product is acceptable, but we do not feel we got the best looking counters considering the amount of money we spent.

They were very responsive, we started a long time ago with them, but our project stopped for a while because we had other things to do, and they were very accommodating. The installation went really well, and it seemed like they cared for the work, and they were professional. They were very responsive, and they were very accommodating. You send them an email, and you get a response back. It came out beautiful so the quality was good.

We are mostly happy with the installed granite counter top and window ledge. There were a few problems ? small gaps on the side of our stove, a fissure, a backsplash not matching at one seam, and a flat window ledge instead of the same round shape of the counter tops. They came back and fixed the fissure, tried to fix the stove (explaining the shape of our stove made it hard to cut tightly around it), and offered to look for matching granite to replace the backsplash and window ledge. We are going to live with the latter items. We went with Intown Granite because of their great prices and ratings. Maybe it?s our inexperience and maybe their breakdown in communication between workers that led to our problems. I suggest that if you are not experienced, work with a contractor or write everything down with photos, then all should go fine with this company.

The installers arrived as scheduled. They immediately began the installation process. The installers were very professional, friendly and demonstrated exceptional skills to place large pre-cut sections of counter tops. My wife and I were very impressed with the care that was taken to ensure each section of the counter top was installed correctly with the correct overhang with no seam lines required on two L shaped counter top sections. When it was necessary to make any minor adjustments in the granite requiring power disking, realignment of bar counter top braces, the installers took the time to put down a top cloth and use of a shop vacuum to ensure there would be no dust or debris. All the counter tops were installed and sealed with no damage to the walls or new counter top. The installers took the time to ensure clean-up was done to the point they took a broom and dust pan to clean up all debris. After everything was installed and cleaned up the installers took extra time to explain what they did, time needed for sealer and sealants to dry before touching or reconnecting sink drains and dishwasher. The work performed was outstanding. The day after installation the company called to find out if the work was performed to our scarification, which it was. My wife and I highly recommend Intown Granite and Marble as they certainly are a quality and very skilled company installing counter granite and marble counter tops.
Description of Work: We were first met by a customer service representative at Intown Granite & Marble showroom on Friday, October 3rd., who was very friendly, professional and took the time to show all the various options of granite that would match our oak cabinets. She took the time to explain the various options available for corner cuts and all the price options for each. We made an appointment for installers to make up a template on Monday , October 6th, and they arrived at the scheduled appointment time. Installation date was set for the following Monday, October 13th and they arrived as scheduled.

My experience with Intown Granite was pleasant from start to finish. The owners/employees were responsive, polite, professional, and great to work with. They answered all the questions I had (which were numerous) with quick, knowledgeable answers. There were a couple of surprises as the teardown progressed (not their fault) and they were able to fix them right then and there. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Pablo and his crew were terrific as was Dianna in the front office. When I get ready to do the bathrooms they'll be the first ones I call. Jennifer R Mill Creek

InTown Granite and Marble is a respectable, talented local company worthy of your business. We shopped for countertops for six months before deciding on InTown Granite. During that time, reps from every major chain gave us estimates, and all used a variety of scare tactics to keep us from going with a less expensive local provider. To justify their higher price tag, the 'Big Box' estimators warned us that granite from these cheaper competitors would be inferior, the fabrication would be shoddy, the installers would be amateurs, etc. With these warnings in mind, we decided to at least round out our estimates by consulting a small local provider to see what they had to offer. We're so glad we did. First, price. There was no comparison. None. InTown was having a special which saved us an average of 40% off other estimates (Home Depot/Lowes/Costco). Some savings were as high as 60% (Granite Transformations). Second, selection. They had several rooms of slabs. We had been to other showrooms where we had trouble finding anything we liked, but this was not the case at InTown. Although we were specific about what we were looking for, we found several slabs that would work in our space. InTown has a respectable variety for a small supplier, and have many more options on their website. Third, quality. We had been warned that less expensive local providers use commercial grade, inferior granite. This was not our experience with InTown. Our slabs are beautiful 3cm Brazilian granite. Further, the quality of the fabrication is astonishing. Due to the odd, custom layout of our kitchen, we had been warned that our fabrication/install would be challenging. Wesley and his team identified potential problems in advance and were creative with solutions. They did suggest we change our choice of granite to a plain, less-veiny pattern so that the angles/seams would have continuity, but we stubbornly persisted and they agreed to do their best with the slabs we had chosen. We worried about this decision, but when they came to do the install we were beyond thrilled. The InTown fabricators are artists - they lined the veining up exceptionally well at the seams and the overall continuity is flawless. Now, the installation. InTown works fast. Only a few days to wait for templating, and less than a week from template to install. The installers were clean, good-humored, worked hard and stayed late. Due to an identified complexity of our kitchen, though, a small crack occurred on one of the pieces during install. Before we even had a chance to contact the owner, he was calling us to rectify the problem. InTown was already cutting a new piece of granite and would replace our entire slab that very day. I wanted to include this in the review because (1) I truly believe the problem was directly related to a unique complication of our layout and is entirely unlikely to affect normal routine installs, and (2), look, mistakes happen. How a company handles its mistakes says everything about the type of people in charge and whether or not it is wise to hire them. Wesley called us immediately and apologized, had a solution that was already in motion, and was coming that afternoon to fix it. No questions asked. That is the sign of an honorable business. We have highly recommended InTown Granite to our friends and colleagues and will continue to do so. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Diana, Wesley (and his lovely wife Dilma), and our installers.

InTown Granite is as good as it gets! _ It saved me thousands of $$$ over the other companies I got bids from. _ The end product is superior to what the others offered. _ It was definitely worth the drive from Olympia for their professional advice and experience . _ Robert and Diana are the wizards in the front office. They can give you a bid (from your measurements) before you make the drive. _ They will then show you the pieces that are in your budget or on special that fit your project. _ I selected 3 possible patterns, and than they came to do the template. _ Theirs 23 years of experience saved the day and he guided us to the perfect granite for our view and color scheme. He was able to seam the granite so the "flow" of the stone. was kept in tack. _ They work with all kinds of stone material for counters. We are very happy !!

They were very professional & friendly. Arrived on time. They did a good job. I was only disappointed that they did not put a sheet or something down to catch all the shavings from the old counter top when they were leveling it out for the application of the granite. I emailed them about it, thinking it would be good to know for the their future customers. I got no response. It was very time consuming to empty all the cabinets and draws to clean the shavings out and wash all the dishes.

InTown was recommended to us by our contractor, who had done some remodeling for another client who raved about InTown. I got bids from 4 other established granite providers in Seattle and in Kitsap County, and InTown was significantly lower. They have just finished the installation, and the counters look awesome. When the initial installation was done, it was discovered that two of the sections were incorrect. The piece we had personally chosen to be the kitchen island was instead cut for the nearby desk. I called Daiana about it and she immediately said they would take care of it. The next working day (NEXT day, not several days later) the owner and another gentleman came and finished the installation and brought along the specific piece we wanted for the island. Even though I thought what had been done the first day looked fine, the owner said he saw some things that needed to be corrected and he did so. We were very pleased with InTown and their responsiveness, their price, and the quality of the final product.

When we visited their showroom we had our kitchen plan it hand. They promptly calculated an approximate sq ft number around 48 and we got an initial estimate right away. We found some granite we liked, reserved the slab and since we had not started our remodel yet we had to wait to scheduled them out. The crew that came out to template the kitchen was quick and professional and answered all my questions. They returned in two weeks with the finished material and installed them. They arrived for both appointments on time with out any drama. They did a great job hiding the single seam (we usually have to point it out) and it really looks great. We have already recommended them to other who had similar great experiences. We will be going back if we have any more granite work that needs to be done in the future.

I'm very impressed with three things. First, the quality of the stone -- the new countertops are just stunning. We did do the upgraded granite, but it really was worth it. Second, I was impressed with the "demo" -- they kept the kitchen clean, and were able to re-use existing cabinetry "supports" for the countertops. Third, and probably most importantly, I am impressed and pleased by the quality of the installation. Alfredo, Fernando, and Oscar are consummate professionals. They have great attention to detail. Everything looks awesome! Further, the price was very, very good. At <$4,500 for the entire job, this is easily a 25-33% cheaper than if we went with an "Eastside" place that has a pretty showroom. Would do this again in a hearbeat.

We have been looking all over for counters that look great, are easy to care for and will work in our kitchen. We found them at Intown Granite and Marble. Located in Auburn, we went to the showroom to see what they had in stock. We were really impressed. Wesley and Daiana were both with customers, but Wesley told us to walk around and see if there were things that we liked. We did, and when he was done with the client that he was working with, he came and found us. It was a whirlwind tour of granite at that point, and we went home with 6 giant hunks of granite in the back of the car to see what looked right in our space. Wesley advised us to see it in the various lights we might use and next to the cabinets and backsplash we were thinking of. We decided what we wanted and called for an estimate. We emailed the design of the kitchen (including measurements) to Daiana. She got back to us pretty quickly with the estimate. At that point, it was not clear that to lock in the installation date, you have to sign everything and send in the deposit. It sounds obvious, but when we talked on the phone, we were under the impression that we had the install date locked in and we planned around it. While it ended up not being a big deal, it's just something to consider. Wesley and his helper came to do the measurement and fabrication prep. While they were late, we received a phone call (BEFORE they were late) and they gave us the option of having them come late or rescheduling. I was impressed with how it was handled, and pleased that they were so courteous about it. Ten days later, Alfredo, Fernando and Oscar came to do the install. They installed the fabricated granite. They did a good job installing it, but the fabrication left something to be desired -- one of the pieces (the big piece with the sink hole in it) did not reach the wall. Instead of telling us about it, and telling us how they were going to fix it, they ignored it, and only when we inspected it and realized that even our backsplash wouldn't cover the 5/8 inch hole at the side of wall did we call and complain. Our complaints were met with, oh sorry, we will fix it. They put us on the schedule for Friday; I called and told them I was on my way and would meet them at the house. I received a call back from Daiana saying that they were in Tacoma, but didn't bring the right stuff to fix it. As a result, our installers for the backsplash couldn't install it on time. And we got charged for that too. It was incredibly frustrating getting them to come out and fix the work that should have been pointed out and fixed at the very beginning. Daiana was put in the middle, but she would indicate that she would call me right back, I'd wait several hours and call her because I rarely received a return phone call. Oh, and one of them left a cigarette butt in my garden. It is just gross. For $49 a square foot, plus tax, it's a great deal, but you get what you pay for.

The counters look great.Service was professional and responsive from beginning to end. Most importantly, perhaps, is that there was a problem with the initial fabrication and Wesley and his InTown crew made things right promptly and without hesitation. All installers were personable and professional but special kudos to Edgar and Paulo for their meticulous and professional work. The worksite was kept clean at all times and questions happily answered. The InTown installers made several good recommendations to make the job even better. I would definitely call on them again.

We visited several granite stores searching for the "perfect" granite for the island which was to be the focal point of the kitchen. We found it at Intown Granite and were pleased it was a remnant. We asked them to hold it for us, as we weren't ready for it. They cheerfully put our name on it. As the kitchen remodel dragged out for an extra month, we would go visit our remnant and update the staff on our anticipated date of creating the template. In the meantime, we made the decision on the material for the other countertops. Finally, after the kitchen base cabinets were in place, the guys came out to make the templates. Very interesting process! A week later the countertops and island top were installed. Everything was done perfectly and neatly. A few weeks later I decided I wanted a small backsplash added behind one counter. Communications seemed to break down at this point as phone calls and emails weren't returned. After four weeks, the additional backsplash was installed for the reasonable price of only $200. I am very pleased with the overall outcome of the project. Except for the confusion or lack of communication regarding the backsplash everything was professional, perfect and looks gorgeous. I definitely recommend.
