They gave a reasonably low bid and did quality work. Omar went the extra mile beyond what he promised he would do. 1) They removed the old concrete with a jackhammer, carefully removing the old pieces and not damaging a large landscaping rock that the old path was merged with. 2) Omar managed to move the large rock that was in the way of the path (we were going to have the path go slightly off to avoid the rock, but he moved it so the path could be straight). 3) They set the forms and measured several times to make sure they were straight. I felt some comfort in watching them measure and re-measure because it made me feel like they were trying to do a quality job. 4) They put in a pipe under the cement path so I could put my water hoses under the path instead of over the path (a tripping hazard). He added that on without charging me extra for it. 5) They took away all old cement pieces and cleaned up when the job was done. They used rebar in the cement, but one thing that concerns me a little is that they didn't put any breaks in it. It is a solid 18 foot slab of 4" concrete. I researched on the internet and it seems that the slab should not have been continuous, but should have had expansion breaks every 8-10 feet to prevent cracking. However, this might be an area that is open to interpretation and personal preference. I'm not too worried about it, but I thought I would mention it. The next time I have work done, and I would use them again for future work, I would do a little more research and make sure that it is done according to standard. They do quality work at a reasonable price and even go the extra mile on some things.
Description of Work: I wanted my old cement walkway replaced, from the driveway to the porch (about 18 feet).
