Description of Work: We asked for a bid on a new ac/heating system. They gave us a good bid, but we chose someone else due to a preference for a model they did not offer. The visit was all as one would wish.

Description of Work: The services performed did not fix the problem. They never got to that point. The company's first visit was an early response after my initial call. However, some advice given at that point on how to clean the furnace filters was later challenged by the company that replaced this one. The differences were: use dishwashing solution instead of Simple Green. And use your garden hose for water pressure instead of a weak shower stream for rinsing. During later visits, tests were started, and some were completed. But two months of waiting while on 'emergency' heating (at higher cost) did not solve the problem. I wonder if the company is qualified to work on heat pumps. They are complicated, and involve thermodynamics and phase changes from liquid to gas and back again. I first contacted the company from advertising mail in November, and had to hire another company in January to get our heating system working as it should.

Description of Work: I had a coupon indicating furnace servicing for $149, with a $20 discount if service was ordered prior to April 30th. While performing the work, the employee blew a fuse. When he finished the work, the bill came to $300.+ I mentioned the more than doubled price and was told that it was because of additional work (the cleaning of the duct work). Permission was not sought, nor given, for any additional work. This is a bait and switch situation.
