This was our first such experience with the septic system (never owned one before) and as such, I was clueless and didn't have any referrals. The issue happened at midnight so I did some research right then and there to come up with some referrals. I started calling at 7 AM and pretty much everyone (that had good recommendations) was either busy (one company immediately referred me to others since they said they'd get to alarms in a month's time) or not picking up that early. To their credit FloHawks picked up on the spot (more on that later). They took my number and gave me a call back shortly. I was able to get an appointment for the same day -- actually within 4 hours of calling which was great in my opinion. The technician was prompt and knowledgeable and was able to figure out the problem methodically and quickly (important as they charge by minutes). He fixed it and gave me some advice and follow-up steps to get the water level down incrementally. He was also patient and answered all my questions as I was hanging around while he worked to learn more about the system. Their rate is a bit high but not unreasonable. They charge a fixed fee to show up and for the first 30 minutes and then a fixed rate for every 15 minute increment. Given the work and complexity, I would say it is reasonable. The interesting thing is that the alarm fired a few days later (Friday afternoon). I called them up at 7:30 PM and was extremely pleased to discover that they have a 24/7 desk for taking calls. They were able to book me for Saturday which was again great in my opinion due to promptness. At this point, I had some experience with the system so I wasn't as perturbed as before. They called me Saturday morning and gave me an updated estimate (technician could show up earlier). The technician figured out the problem quickly and it was similar to the issue before (loose wiring). Since it was something they should've caught the first time or was inadvertently overlooked, they didn't charge me for the work which I did expect but was pleased that they offered it without me having to ask (even with this, I am not faulting the first technician since he was thorough). All in all, I really like these guys for Septic work and will use them again.

The actual work was excellent . However the inspection was done by one person and later in the day the tank was pumped. I was quoted one price for both the inspection and the pumping . However I was charged two separate price that total NEARLY 1000.00 THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE LIKE 730.00.When I called to ask about this I was told it was put into there computer that way and that's just how it is.

The company was excellent. They are extremely responive and punctual. We would use this company again if we needed them.

Our downstairs toilet seemed to be plugged and overflowed at 6 AM. I cleaned up the mess and decided to work on it later. I ran a load of laundry (washer and dryer is in the same area as the half bath) and when I came down to put the wash in the dryer, the whole floor was flooded and water was going under the door to the garage. I cleaned up the mess, again and then searched Angie's List for a company that could service both drains and septic tanks. Flohawk was the only one that could do both and had a branch just a few minutes away in Covington. We called late morning and the gal we talked to was very helpful and up front with costs and procedures. She said that we were in the afternoon slot and someone would be there between 1 and 5 and they would call when the driver was on his way. That was most helpful as we live in a rural area and have our gate closed all the time. This gave us time to make sure our dog and horses were secure before he arrived. They did just that and when Arthur arrived, at about 3, he was very friendly, courteous and knew exactly what to look for and do to fix the problem, which he did. He was not in a hurry and didn't leave until he was satisfied that all was working properly. He inspected our system and gave us some advice so as this wouldn't happen again. The final bill was exactly what was quoted to us on the phone and to me, was very reasonable considering the wonderful service we experienced. I would call them again in a heartbeat.

Tank was pumped. No inspection was performed, even though it turns out that a failing or failed drain field should have been suspected. The serviceman didn't even look into the tank, where a cursory inspection would have revealed a broken baffle.. A month later, I am searching for a reliable source for a repair or replacement.

They were very friendly and showed on time. The technician was very knowledgeable and it went off without any hitch.

They are professional, timely, and prices are very reasonable. The prices is fixed so it does not matter how long it takes. The come right away when you call.
