The company bid the project including materal and labor. The job was completed. The contractor used only half of the materials and did not leave the not used materiall. Insulation was not replaced until I reminded workers what the contract required so the workers has to go after insulation. Most of the required insulation was never replaced. I will not use this company again.

They came at 3 separate times and charged separately for each visit. They were amazing; it looks like a brand new patio out back. The worked very hard and did not goof around; they were very professional, nice and polite. They explained what they did so that I understood. They blew me away and got the work done all in one day. I was just amazed. They did an excellent job on the painting and I have had compliments on it. The porch looks nice and they made it a little bigger than it had been. They went out of their way to make sure everything looked the way it should.

I called the owner and told him my problem and he knew what the issue was right away. I am certain this company saved us a lot of money.

I called them and the guy came out the very next day and fixed it. They were very expensive but they fixed it. I didn't even see him or talk to him so I don't know about his professionalism.

Chet was easy to get a hold of, showed up on time, and provided a bid within hours for repairing / replacing a flat roof area that could be walked on like a deck. He noted all the points that the home inspector had covered, and was clear about what he would do. There is a good chance we will go with him if decided to move forward on this house purchase.

It took 2.5 days to complete the job. Everything went well. Very happy with the quality of work. The crew supervisor was very responsive to my questions and requests. The total price is competitive to other bids.

They were very prompt. They came out within a couple days of me calling them. I was very impressed. They got the entire job done in one day, and they did a great job on it.

The quote was for one price ($12,000) and then gave us a different price (25,000) after they had torn up the roof. They had come out twice to look at it. They should have known that the roof was that bad before they started the work and let us know that the price could double when they got into it. They said they would clean up afterwards but it started to rain and they didn't do a good job cleaning up.

Yesterday, is when the problem really started. I called my lawn guy, he does several odds jobs for me, and he placed a tarp on my roof. When I woke up this morning, the leaking was even worse. I called Chet's and he came right out. He got right to work. However, he was a rather rude individual and gave me a hard time. He told me that I had better get a new roof fast, and that the leaks were eventually going to come back and he couldn't tell me how long his patch job would hold. I really liked and appreciated how fast he came out here and did the work in such nasty weather, but he was rather gruff with me. Since the work was done on 3/31 I don't know if any work was done. I had 2 people look at it and no one can see where any work has been done on the roof. They cashed my check 4/3 and I have not been able to get a hold of them or get a phone call back from the company.

David was very professional and courteous; he came by while I was at work and inspected the roofs on both my house and the detached garage. He sent me a preliminary estimate prior to meeting with me to complete the inspection by surveying the attic space. Upon speaking further he was able to offer me a revised estimate (the first included extensive chimney repair, the second included chimney removal and replacement with insulated stove pipe to continue use as a natural gas flue). Overall David was very pleasant to deal with; he didn't try to hard sell me on anything, he didn't take punches at possible competing companies. He let the information and his company's reputation stand on it's own and let me know that if there was anything else I needed or any additional questions I had, he would be happy to help. While I have yet to obtain financing to begin this project, Chet's is one of two companies I would seriously consider to take on the job once I am prepared to move forward. Requested proposals from three companies, all highly rated by Angie's List. Initial contract was made by phone and supplemented by pictures of shed roof, the unused electric supply pole. I offered potential bidders the option of visiting the site prior to making the estimate or to make the estimate based on the work description and the photos. All three proposal were made without an onsite visit. Chet's Roofing's proposal was the cheapest by about 10% and had the best description of the work to be performed. I sent an mail to Chet's on Sunday, received a call from Chet's on Monday and the new roof installed on Tuesday. A two man team headed by Larry arrived on time. They did a great installation job and cleaned up the area. Total time on site was about four hours.

This company was completely professional. I cannot say enough good things about them. They set up the appointment right away and were prompt in coming out. They were efficient and professional in all aspects. The gentleman that came out wasn't pushy, but was very knowledgable and, I felt, honest. He was clear about things I didn't need. The quality of the work was also excellent.

They were top of the list and did a terrific job. The work was perfect.

I contacted Peggy about 88:00 a.m. and she gave me a rough guesstimate of the cost to make the repairs. Not only were they very quick in responding to my inquiry but the work was done amazingly fast! I chose Chet Roofing to paint my house after getting 5 estimates. His price was among the lowest, and I chose his company because I felt confident in the quality of the work that he seemed ready to perform. After choosing them, his crew started within a couple days, and the first day I thought trouble was in order because paint chips from the stripping were strewn across our yard and the neighbors yards. This ceased to be a problem once I called Chet, and he sent his crew back out and they cleaned it all up that very day and into the night. From then on, the work was done just right. After they finished, I gave it a week and then noted any little spots I wanted corrected, and Chet sent out a crew the next day to make the necessary corrections. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to get their home painted.

I felt positive when they came for the estimate and it was a good price. The estimator arrived late for no known reason. When I called the main office after one hour, they said they did not know why he was not there yet. The roofer said the job would be the next day and then it was put off to the next day and then the next day with no explanation of why they were putting it off. Then, they cut my cable to my TV and did not tell me when replacing the gutters. I went two days without my cable not knowing the origin of the problem and then had to spend three hours of my time with the cable guy to find the problem and then have it re-strung. The owner of the roofing company did get back to me and offer to pay for the cable repair but the call to the roofer was never returned. Also, I was not home at the time of the repair but my roommate said the workers were noisy and arguing with each other on the roof so she had to tell them to be quiet. Overall, a bad experience except for the price.

After meeting with a couple of other roofing companies, Edgar from Chet's showed up to do an estimate. He climbed up onto the roof and took digital photos of the problem. Shingles had blown off the roof right where we were experiencing leaks into the house, and the damage was quite dramatic. Neither of the other roofers we interviewed used digital photography to sell us their services and it is a powerful tool! In fact, one of the other roofers didn't even climb up on the roof. Edgar, however, was very thorough in his explanation of the problem, and also sent the photos to me so I could show them to my husband and the insurance adjuster. It wouldn't have occurred to me to involve the insurance company, but because it was very clearly wind damage and we'd had some recent major wind storms, Edgar suggested this, and they covered it. After he looked at the roof and explained the problem, he spent half an hour in his truck and returned with three detailed estimates for the options we could pursue: spot repair, replace half the roof, or replace the whole roof. Even though we know the insurance company would only cover the half of the roof with damage, we decided to replace the whole roof because the price was so reasonable and the company seemed so professional. In terms of the actual roofing day, the roofers showed up as expected. I have two young children and so we left the house for the day (roofing is loud) and the job was finished in time, by the end of the day. It's hard to know the quality of a roofing job, but we've had no further leaking problems and what we can see looks just fine. We are very happy customers.

Job went well and efficiently, but had to have workmen return to perform additional clean-up that was not completed initially. My request for additional cleanup was accommodated without issue.

Did a great job in all respects. Answered questions about a difficult structural roof detail. Excellent guarantee.

Called ahead to ask about whether or not they were performing specific tasks or only roofing replacement. They told me that they could help me with my problem. Send someone for an estimate that showed an hour earlier than planned. I wasn't home and could not re-explain what I was looking for. The guy called me and just told me that he was going to replace my roof (for $2900) and "did I want to go ahead?". When I told him that this was not going to solve my problem, he told me that unless I replaced the roof first he wasn't going to help me.....

They were very punctual and did what they promised they would do.

Overall, I thought they did a very good job. they put on an energy star roof. Cleanup was done well.
