They were pretty quick. I paid an additional $300 - $500. The guys who were here did good work. They were very professional. The quotes seemed awfully high.
Description of Work: I purchased a "Big Deal" for Atlantic Tile & Granite. They measured and did everything. I did have them give me some quotes on doing some more work here.

I had new cabinets installed to add a peninsula in my kitchen next to the existing cabinets. The installation was planned out and carried out in a way to minimize the difference between old and new cabinets. The work was top notch. Everyone was polite, punctual, and easy to get a hold of. I highly recommend them!

We had to delay due to a my surgery, but we did agree on the 18th of February. They were on time and every one, including office staff were very friendly and professional. The installers were very efficient and had the counter tops installed within estimated time frame and was even done earlier. I would highly recommend their services to others.

Atlantic Tile & Granite replaced 81.2 sq feet of tile counter top with granite. Include were a stainless sink, sealing, disposal of the old sink, tile & plywood. They were having a sale and our cost was $4662 incl tax. We chose from their on hand stock of 3cm Brazilian granite and five styles of edge finish. The installation went smoothly. The 1' x 12' piece for the pass-threw to the dining room was incorrectly edged and the installer replaced it without prompting. We are immensely satisfied and highly recommend this company for granite counter top installations. The price was the lowest of some five bids we obtained. Installation of the cook-top and plumbing were not included which is normal.

They worked very quickly (2 men approx, 3 hrs) for full demo and replacement, including a new gorgeous stainless sink. They laid out blankets over all areas that they walked through and vacuumed up all dust and debris from there work. Everything was explained to me ahead of time so there were no surprises. Most importantly the end result looks amazing! Still need to put in my back splashes but after that is done i will try and share pictures of before and after.

We obtained bids from several vendors before selecting ATG, who we ultimately chose due to the positive reviews on Angie?s List coupled with their competitive pricing. The remodel included our master bathroom, kid?s bathroom and guest bathroom, which took 6 weeks to complete plus about 2 weeks of post-remodel follow up fixes and touch ups. What went well: -They actually responded when I called for a bid. I called multiple companies and ATG was the quickest to respond.(I had one company call me 2 months after my initial call). - Rocky provided the bid. He showed up on time and spent about an hour to understand what we needed, explained options, measured, gave us ballpark figures and provided high level timeframes. He was informative and answered all our questions. - Nataliya was incredibly helpful and took the time to help us understand the bid once we received it. We researched the design and color palettes prior to setting up time to meet with Nataliya, who patiently helped with the many selections for tile, granite, cabinet and sink combinations. We spent an entire afternoon going through all the selections and coordinating for 3 different bathrooms. Even though we had a design in mind, coming up with the tile and granite combinations got a little overwhelming and I learned a lot in the process. (On a side note, learning which tiles have a bullnose cut was important since we wanted rounded edges for the baseboards and shower trims. It limited some of the selections because not every tile style had a bullnose available). I truly appreciated the time she took to go through the selections and explain the various options. - It was nice to have the granite, tile, and cabinet samples are all located in the warehouse. This saved us a significant amount of time, preventing us from having to various shops and coordinating with multiple suppliers. ATG is a one stop shop with a large selection of tile and granite with Nataliya coordinating all the orders. - Billing: what we were quoted is what we paid. There were no surprises and any changes were items incurred by us. (We added the kid?s bathtub/shower and tiling a few weeks into the project.) The granite, tile, sinks and vanities were all included in the bid. I compared it with the other bids obtained which only provided labor and foundational materials - ATG?s was the most competitive. The only area we outsourced ourselves was painting given that the sub-contractor charged quite a hefty fee. - The crew: the tile, granite and cabinet installers were all tenured ATG employees ? this was beneficial for continuity and consistency of the work. The plumbers and electrician were sub-contracted who ATG has solid relationships with, helping ensure quality of workmanship and expediting any issues we encountered along the way. - They covered our floors with plastic and cleaned up daily. The tile cutter and majority of supplies were in the garage during the process and when they were complete, our garage was cleaner than when they started! This was a bit of a bonus. - Last but not least, I could not sing enough praises about Thomas! He was key to the entire remodel and ensured things went as smoothly as possible. Again, given that this was our first remodel, I had many questions and concerns along the way ? often times what seemed like a major issue ended up being easily remedied. Thomas was always responsive and never treated any of my questions as trivial. Because the primary crew were his employees, he was able to get commitment on anything that potentially impeded progress. In addition, it was clear he had solid partnerships with the sub-contractors, who also responded quickly to remedy any bumps we encountered. Despite the fact that he was coordinating multiple remodels at once (with no Project Manager to help), he always responded and gave me the heads-up if he was going to be away. Here are some examples of how he provided superior customer service. Examples of superior customer service: We encountered an issue with bad grout in 2 of the bathrooms which turned multi-colored after drying (different shades of white, pink, beige and black when it was supposed to be beige). Thomas thoroughly researched, kept me engaged in the process and determined that that it was caused by a bad batch of grout. We discussed various options to correct and in the end, he recommended re-grouting with a new batch or grout from an entirely different manufacturer. I don?t think the installer was too happy about having to re-grout 2 bathrooms, but it was the right thing to do so Thomas instructed the installer to re-do it. He noticed that one of the granite back splashes in the guest bath was uneven and had his crew re-do the area. Another time, there was a scratch in one of the vanity panels, so he had the entire panel replaced the next day. Post-completion, one of the light bulbs in a fixture broke, with the light bulb base melting into the fixture itself. Thomas tried to fix it himself but it was stuck, so he had the electrician come out later in the week. The other issue we encountered was in the main bathroom shower which was making loud drumming sounds in the wall. In addition, only a few of the spouts from the rain shower were actually working. He called the plumbers to come out and diagnose. After several hours of troubleshooting, they determined that the root cause was a flow restrictor in the shower head and fixed it on the spot. -------------------------------------------------- The only cons are aesthetics related. Some of the tiles in our master bath have strange marks that look like dirt-like ?stains? which I learned were part of how they were manufactured. I?m not sure why they were installed since it doesn?t match the rest of the color palette, but fortunately it?s slight enough that it?s not too noticeable. Post-remodel, the grout in one of the shower corners cracked but instead of re-grouting it was caulked over. We?ll get this re-grouted and re-caulked in the future since the remedy works for now. Overall however, the tile work was very good. ----------------------------- Other than these few ?hiccups?, the experience was fairly positive. We LOVE our remodeled bathrooms!

They arrived exactly at the date and time promised to start the demolition of our master bath. A miracle! Most contractors are always late. They had excellant professionals. Expert plumbers, electricians and tile setters arrived one behind the other to do their parts. Someone was here everyday for two weeks until completed. These folks are true professionals. They never tried to up-sell us after we picked out our granite and tile. They never changed their origina price estimate even though they ran into a couple problems that delayed them a bit, and caused them to come back a couple times. No extra charges..
Description of Work: Master Bathroom remodel. His quote did not include items purchased by us, i.e.; Tub, toilet, sinks, faucets/hardware, light fixtures & paint. Their estimate was labor and materials for tile, granite, plumbing & electrical installations.

It went fantastic. Natalya answered all of my initial questions in a very timely manner and kept me in the loop on the schedule, etc. Nick was fantastic, he came to do the measurements, but the appliances hadn't arrived yet, so he said he'd come back a week later, but that it wouldn't change the install date which was critical for me! I'm glad that we waited on measurements as I had to shift everything over to ensure that the dishwasher door on one wall didn't hit the stove which stuck out a little bit beyond the 24" cabinet depth on the perpendicular wall. Nick came back a week later and made the templates and then they were fabricated exactly as we wanted. The install team came in and spread tarps on the floor from the door to the kitchen and in the kitchen, and kept everything clean. They had to move the fridge to line up the countertops and install them properly, which left indentations on the new vinyl flooring, with a little know-how, they made it virtually unnoticeable. All-in-all a great experience ... and now we don't have to do our dishes in the bathtub anymore that we hooked up the sink (which was included with the countertops). Thanks to the whole team!

Before my wife and I started to get serious about having our kitchen remodeled, we knew it was going to be quite the endeavor. One that would require a lot of patience, trust and good communication with whatever Company we hired for the job. We were never under the illusion that things were going to be perfect. A project of this magnitude was going to enviably going to have its issues and problems?but nothing could have prepared us for what we were about to experience over the next +3 months. We were looking forward to having a major kitchen remodel and spent a considerable amount of time carefully researching and obtaining several different bids from different companies. After careful consideration, we chose Atlantic Tile and Granite. After all they were one of the top rated in our area. Project start date was August 17th 2015, incidentally it was also the first day of a very long list of issues that we were about to encounter over the next 3 months. First off, the agreed start time came and went, with no communication from the Project Manager (PM) until more than an hour after the start time. I was notified that there was a mix up at the cabinet shop and the PM suggested we cancel the entire day and try again the next morning. I explained I had specifically used a full day of vacation to accommodate the entire day to properly kick off the remodel and get familiar with the crew. So instead of wasting the entire day, I suggested that the appliances could at least be removed and placed in the shop. The PM reluctantly agreed, then showed up alone so I ended up helping him move all the appliances. August 18th ? the work crew showed up, but consisted of a Father (adult) and his (2) (teenage) sons. I didn?t realize my 30k project was also funding an apprenticeship program for teenagers. August 19th ? cabinets started to be installed and I immediately noticed the cabinet configuration was not per the agreed plan(s). Come to find out, they didn?t even have the correct plans on site. I had to call the PM and explain the situation to him as he was not even here to oversee the operation and ensure it was kicked off without issue (this ended up being quite common throughout the remodel) August 24th ? Work crew was a no show, with no call or communication from ATG?when I called the PM, he could not explain why they didn?t show and just assumed they were onsite working. They never showed, and offered no explanation. August 25th - Very little progress made as they only worked approx 6hrs. I noticed a cracked/damaged drawer installed, so I marked it with tape and the PM agreed to replace it. August 26th ? I noticed there was an obvious issue with the cabinet configuration again, and had to explain that they were not installed per plan (again). I was told by the Father, that his son accidently installed them incorrectly and he should have known better. It is beyond comprehension why a company would allow a teenager, with little to no experience, perform critical tasks on a 30k job. This time, I made it clear with the PM that I did not want the sons doing skilled labor work on my project. August 31st ? Work crew no show again?. September 2nd ? Met with PM and discussed all the issues we were experiencing up to this point with the cabinets. Coloration was a huge issue, as a lot of the cabinet doors were not even close to matching each other and needed to be swapped out. In addition, the majority of all the cabinets had some kind of defects that were very apparent (cracks, split wood, uneven stain, dents, nicks, scrapes etc) I?m sorry, but when I buy new cabinets, I expected them to be new and not refurbished, repaired or touched up to hide the defects. September 3rd ? No work performed September 4th ? I had to contact the owner of the company (Tomas) to express my dissatisfaction and to help him understand the all the issues that were occurring. One of the pull-outs had a cracked rail that was supposed to be replaced with a new one, I was told it had been taken care of. When I examined it, it actually had a couple of wood screws installed as the fix. Also pointed out that an off colored cabinet door that was supposed to be replaced, had just been switched with another door, in a different location. And yes, it was just as ?red? in the other location and stood out like a sore thumb. I don?t really ask for a lot, but I do expect to be treated fair and honestly. I do not appreciate being lied to or deceived. By this point and time ATG had lost their credibility with me, as I had very little faith in their PM or work crew?s ability. September 7th ? I was notified that the last pantry frame and doors were on back order, and that it would be 2-3 weeks before we received them. I really didn?t think it would be an issue (remember patience?) It was time to drill holes and install the door handles on the all new cabinet drawers and doors. Before they started, I reiterated the importance of making sure the handles are installed correctly and make sure they were straight and level. The cabinets are dark and the handles are silver so it will be very noticeable if they are crooked. As soon as I walked in the kitchen one of the teenagers was already drilling the holes to mount a handle?and you guessed it, it was not level. Not even close. September 22nd ? We were getting close to tile installation so I asked the PM what the status was for the tile. I was assured all the tile had been ordered and had been received. As it turned out, it had not, so we lost another week waiting to receive the tile. September 29th ? The tile installer stated he was going to have to change the design because not enough of the larger tiles were ordered, so he thought he would just use a smaller size. The PM never returned my messages to try and fix the issue, nor did he contact me to let me know how the issue was going to be solved. This error turned a (3) day tile job, into well over an entire week before he could complete his job. At that point I re-contacted the owner of ATG, explained what was going on, and that I was done dealing with the PM. From that point on, I only dealt with Tomas (owner). September 30th ? Remember the back ordered pantry frame and doors?I was notified that they were now being pushed out to October 19th ? that?s a total of (6) weeks from when they were originally ordered. October 11th ? Appliances were installed by a third party that I paid for myself in an effort to reduce the risk of the new appliances being improperly installed or damaged. I was assured by ATG that no damage was going to happen to any of the appliances. ?We do this stuff all the time!? October 12th ? After having several discussions about removing and installing cabinet components?you guessed it, the side of our brand new stainless steel refrigerator was damaged (scraped) when ATG was installing a pantry frame adjacent to the door. And the frame that was being installed?I had them remove it and put it back in the truck, as the hinges had been removed from one side, reinstalled on the other side and the holes hap-hazarded filled with putty. It was obvious the wrong frame was trying to be used. October 15th ? Met the owner at the cabinet supplier downtown Seattle, in an effort to see why the pantry doors were taking so long to receive. After spending 2 hours of my time and travelling to a second warehouse, we were told the next shipment has been moved out another (4) weeks?now that made it a total of 10 weeks from when the order was placed! The cabinet shop tried to air ship a set of doors from China, but they came in 2 weeks later completely smashed and destroyed. When asked, they stated it happens all the time, nothing we can do. November 20th ? the pantry doors were received and installed, completing the project. As long and drawn out this review is, there are still many, many other quality issues that took place with hundreds of pictures taken along the way. The lack of experience of the initial project manager and work crew set us on a path of destruction from the very beginning. Poor coordination, excuses, lack of planning, sparse communication and dishonesty were all contributing factors. Also the cabinet supplier had absolutely terrible Customer Service and the overall quality of the cabinets were very sub par. I would have rather paid 10k-15k more, for much higher quality components and a competent company, then to be left feeling like we have just a so-so kitchen for the price we paid. To say we are disappointed with the overall project would be an understatement for sure. I would also like to mention that all the snide, negative comments and quips that came from the project manager, that he shared about other clients and current projects was in poor taste and very unprofessional. I can only imagine he got a lot of mileage from all the issues we had. Yes, I?m the type that pays attention to the details and where Customer Service trumps everything?including price. Next time I will find a Company that shares these values. Now, about those bathrooms??

Nick and his crew are old-school and I mean that as a compliment. Nick came out and measured my kitchen, provided a quote and gave me as many options as I wished. We changed the shape of the existing counter top. I was able to draw the exact curve I wanted from a pattern we created. The whole crew was very professional, left no trace and saved me money every way that they could. I have recommended them to family and friends.

All in all, I'm happy with my new granite counters but the install was sort of sloppy. The company was very responsive and polite when dealing with my construction delays. Where I graded the company lower was the install took much longer than the company anticipated and I don't feel the installers did the best job. They were pretty rough on my cabinets. They kept saying it was because my cabinets are old. My husband and I had to repair one cabinet and the installer denied breaking it which ticked me off. They were rough on my mahogany front door too. I had to ask them to take it easy. They also raised one set of counters almost a half inch while on the counter on other side of the stove they didn't. So one side of my stove the counter is flush with the cook top and the other side the counter is below the stove by a good 1/2 inch. I didn't call the company to fix the issue because I don't want to deal with the mess of them coming back. The granite is beautiful but the old saying "You get what you pay for" applies.

We purchased a pre-paid package for quartz countertop from Atlantic Tile and Granite on Angie's List. It was our first purchase made this way. Atlantic was prompt and Natalia called to set up an appt for Nick to come out. He measured the area and calculated the SF accurately and provided us with a written quote for the total price including the extra SF we needed to completed the job. We were able to make our choice of color at that time, edge profile and choice of sink which was included. He describe the scope of the entire project, and made the templates for the project right then. The job was scheduled promptly. Three workers arrived on time in an Atlantic Tile truck with everything needed to complete the job. They removed the old formica countertops, sink and tile backsplash and hauled away all we didn't want to keep. They installed the beautiful, new high quality quartz countertop with the edge profile that we had selected, including a new stainless steel undermount single bowl sink and cut holes for faucet and cooktop to be re-installed. The installers did a masterful job. There are two seams in our kitchen which are literally undetectable. I know they are there, but can't see or feel them. The bill for the balance came within a week of the completed project and I called Natalia with my credit card to pay the balance due. She asked me right away how we were enjoying our new countertops. We are 100% delighted with the price, service, and installation. Atlantic has our trust and we would without a doubt use them again. Atlantic does do the tile backsplashes also. We had planned to do our own tile backsplash all along so it was not part of this project.

We are going to use this company to install new kitchen counters and sink.
Description of Work: I did not use the provider as the Angies List Special did not fit our needs. Nice company.

I ended up with a ruined counter top and had to fix up damaged drywall myself that they just left. The work was sloppy which led to a cascading set of problems and ended in a ruined counter top. The office team was nice and helpful and in the end they refunded me part of the price (enough to cover replacing the damaged area with someone else), but now it's going to cost me more time to find someone to redo the work in addition to multiple visits they made to try and fix the problem. With all the great reviews, I was very disappointed and regret not having gone with another choice. The main problem. When they installed the counter tops, the seams had quite a lot of large chips along them. They were up to 1cm in size. I got black galaxy granite installed, so they showed up a lot as they appeared gray. I asked the installers and they kept saying "don't worry about it" to me. But after they were done, they had just tried to fill it in with epoxy and hide the chips. But they were very noticeable still since it now showed dark black spots where the plastic epoxy was filled in . So I called the office and they sent out someone to try and repair them. He came and tried to polish the area down to sand out the chips. For the most part, he was able to get rid of the chips (minus 1 of the bigger ones which he ended up not being able to fix after 3 tries), but after polishing the stone there was a huge gray area on the stone. The area was probably 2ft x 4ft in size. On a black surface, the gray area shows up a lot. The repair guy came out 3 more times after that to try and fix it but was never able to. The last visit he tried to dye it with some black dye which made it just a bit better, but it's still visible and now I have a dyed portion of the counter top instead of the natural polished stone that I paid for. Next, they ruined part of the drywall and didn't fix it when installing the new tile back splash. During the removal of the back splash, there was a section of the drywall that they pulled off at the edge of where the old black splash existed. But when they put the new tiles back up, they didn't repair the part of the wall they damaged. So after the tiles had already gone up, I had to go and fix that part of the drywall myself. Lastly, when they removed the old brackets on the bar counter top which were nailed/glued to the wall they tore up the drywall where the old brackets were but they didn't fix it. I asked to replace the bar counter top brackets from the wooden ones that were there to metal L brackets to give it a hidden look. They removed the old brackets by ripping them off the wall, but they didn't fix up the holes it left from taking them off. I assumed they would repair this as part of the cost, but they just left it there. I asked them about it and they said they were sorry and should've explained that they don't fix the wall. Seems strange to me that they would offer a service to replace something but then not fix up the damaged area.

It was fine. They did the work acceptably. They were on time. It looks like good quality. I paid $1200 more than the "Big Deal" I purchased. They're good.
Description of Work: I purchased a "Big Deal" for Atlantic Tile & Granite. It was for the custom granite countertop.

Terrific experience.
Description of Work: We had been looking at granite countertop companies for over a year and the prices and quality of engagement were all over the board so we were hesitant to do anything until I found Atlantic Tile and Granite on Angie's List and saw all the positive reviews. This led me to reach out and from that very moment until the end of the project I was blown away by the responsiveness, excellent customer service and professionalism and most importantly--the QUALITY of workmanship. Their project management was top notch--they lined up the cabinet makers, the plumbers, the tile team, the granite team all in lockstep and communicated effectively throughout. Everyone showed up on time, was extremely courteous and the team came in and it looks great!

The response to our interest in getting a bid was immediate. The estimator was professional and arrived on time. He said the proposal would be prepared and gave us a date. The proposal missed 2 deadlines. I had to call and find out the status twice. When we received the proposal it was confusing. It looked like they used a template form language that was not applicable to our project. I called and I did not get an explanation that made sense. I was told that they would resend the proposal with a clearer break down specific to my project. I did not hear back. The proposal looked like a switch n bate. The discounted or coupon price was shown. However, the price of the add ons doubled the proposal. If you get this must heart ache before a project starts, we felt that it is better to find another contractor.

I set up an appointment for an estimate. He came over and reviewed the work to be done, said I would have an estimate by the following week. That was the last I heard from them. No estimate was ever sent and I was never contacted again.

The counter tops are amazing! Other companies that quoted me were way more expensive for a much lesser quality! Plus they were fast and on time!
