Description of Work: They built a new 6 foot wooden fence. They started on time and worked Monday through Saturday to finish it. It looks very nice. The only reason they did not receive an A from me was their responsiveness and their business side. They did not deposit my first check until at least a month after I gave it to them. After the fence was completed, I did not receive a final bill. I requested it twice. I finally sent them a check based on their original estimate plus tax. There was another delay in depositing my second check.

Description of Work: Duke showed up to look at the project on a Friday and told me he would get a proposal to me over the weekend. Its been a week and a half and I still haven't heard anything. Please don't waste someone's time if you're not going to give them a bid. Be honest if the job isn't right for you. Had he done that, I would've appreciated his honesty.

Description of Work: Nothing. They were late to the appointment and then never submitted a bid...after I jumped over hurdles to meet their schedule.

Description of Work: Alki fixed two fences for me on different occasions. The first time was particularly tricky since it involved work on my neighbor's side of the fence and involved putting in new posts on property that is legally mine but functionally part of my neighbor's garden. They did an excellent job on the fence and were careful with the garden. Which is why I asked them to deal with another fence a few months later. My only complaint with them is it took a long time (on both jobs) for them to get back to me when trying to make an appointment for an estimate, and then for scheduling the work. I notice that others have had the same complaint. I'm glad I waited however, and am satisfied with the work they did.

It went very well, but I would have liked the double gate met a little closer upon closing, the latch doesn't seem vey secure. Description of Work: As a follow up to my previous review, they finally came out and did the work, giving me a discount for the delay. They also fixed the gate for free. The fence is fixed now, and they were very apologetic for the delays and miscommunications.

Description of Work: Nothing. Alki Fence repaired my entire fence last year. The fence was built too low into the ground. This cost was $900.00. This year when I adopted a puppy I noticed the space beneath the door leading into the backyarad was too large and two areas above a low rockery had large open areas for my puppy to escape too. I contacted Alki Fence I requested a rep stop up to give me an estimate. The representative said he will send me a email with estimate within a couple day. However, one month later, two phone calls, plus two email I sent to Alki I finally received email informing me it would cost $700.00 to close three open areas. I did not hire Alki Fence.

Description of Work: Alki fencing had the lowest bid of all of the companies who provided estimates. They put up new fencing along two sides with a gate. They exchanged one gate in the older fence with a new gate to reduce the gaps in between so my dog wouldn't be able to get out; and they were able to use the old gate. They were fast and cleaned up. They even came out again to replace a piece of the old fence gate and only charged me for the part. My neighbor remarked positively on the fence afterwards.

Description of Work: Alki installed an ornamental iron fence around our backyard area. The work was done on time and on budget. The workers we professional, pleasant and helpful with suggestions.

Description of Work: I called this company for an estimate, and though at first he was not thrilled about coming to the west sound (Bremerton), he did agree. However, he was very late for the appointment and never called me to let me know of his troubles with traffic. He arrived an hour and a half later than expected. When he arrived he was apologetic, but gave me a good estimate, about $300 less than the contractor I eventually hired. But I decided not to go with this company primarily because of his lack of professionalism in keeping me informed of his traffic troubles, and thus his unreliability.
