Duke was very courteous and professional and gave us an honest and competitive estimate. We accepted the estimate and they were able to start working on it the following week. The day of the work, Duke showed up with 2 guys and they immediately started to work. Duke came back mid day to check on things and all was well. At the end of the day, we were extremely satisfied with the quality of work that the guys did. We wrote him a check and thanked them for the work. Duke even followed up with us the next week or so to make sure we were satisfied with the work. I would highly recommend getting any fence/gate work with this company. They're very honest and the whole process was a breeze. We felt like we got our money's worth and got a great looking fence in exchange.

This company is excellent. Duke was prompt and professional with the estimate (on the spot). The quote was the lowest we got but the work quality was top notch. We were concerned that they'd be able to match the lattice of the adjoining neighbors fence but did nicely. Half way through, we changed our minds about the location of a gate (before it had gone in), called Duke, and he had the change implemented the next day - what service! They even gave us a free gate for being an Angi's list customer!

They showed up when they said they would. Worked through a week of heavy rain - didn't stop them. Had old fence out in one day - hauled away. I requested they follow the property line, which meant a bit of extra work to work fence into a shed pad. They did and it looks great.

The service was really good. They definitely knew what they were doing, made great suggestions and gave us advice on the design. The builders were incredibly fast. I guess the reason the prices seemed so much lower than the competition is the quality of materials and carpentry. It's just a little less "finished" looking than we had hoped--the wood is rougher, the nails stick out more. Now that we've stained it, it looks fine. We're so happy that it's done, and the design really suits our garden.

Duke was very professional, following-up with phone calls and emails regarding price and scheduling. His workers are limited in their english skills but he coordinates everything personally, including coming back out to the site on the first day of work to go over the plans and clarify the choice of design, height, spacing, etc. The work itself took 2-3 days, including at least one full day of prep work to get the yard ready (removing debris, leveling the soil). This prep work turned out to be larger in scope than estimated and drove the price up quite a bit - although frankly this would have been required regardless of who performed the work, so although it drove up the final cost, and was not estimated for accurately, we still felt the price was a better value than elsewhere. Overall, we were very satisfied with the final result. Duke provided some input into the design and as it turned out, taking his suggestions regarding the best spacing of the planks resulted in a better looking design than what I had originally chosen. The gates were done to match and all in all, it was very pretty result. We also appreciated that the workers cleaned up & hauled away everything, and left the site looking better than when they had started.

Duke was there the first day to get the crew started and spoke to me about a change in the original plan to construct the fence on a steeply declining hill in my yard. He gave me great information about their projected time frame which they stuck to: Tuesday, they pulled out the old fence and tossed it into my neighbor's yard (as I requested & per agreement with my neighbor) and cut back a few branches that would affect the fence, again with my permission. They also dug holes and poured concrete that day. They came back Thursday to install the fence. Not much to say here...they did a FANTASTIC job overall.

We looked at three companies which we found on Angie's List. Alki's estimate was mid range of the three. Went with Alki because Duke was knowledgeable and very professionial and seemed like he would be easy to work with. One company's estimator was pretty adamant that we should replace the fence the way he thought it should be done and his company was more expensive then Alki. We walked the yard with Duke and told him what we were looking for. He gave us an over view of the process. At that time he said the job would take three days. Weeks later when we called him back to say we wanted Alki to tear down and replace the fence he said it would take three days to complete the job and he would be out in a week and he was true to his word. The first day there was a crew of three men. One of them tore into the old fence and had the entire fence almost completely down by noon. The other two guys kept bring up sections of old fence to the truck. They dug holes for the new post foundations. Second day they finished the cement work and had the treated posts in place with the over all frame completed. I didn't think they would have the fence completed on the third day but they had it finished by 3pm. Cleaned up, knocked on my door to tell me they were finished and were gone by 4pm. I was home and Duke came by later that day to check how things went. I paid him the balance for the work. Alki knows what their doing. Crew was very professional. I had one question for Duke on the third day and I didn't have to play phone tag with him. We are very happy with the work they did and the beautiful fence they built for us.

Overall very good experience. Office is a bit disorganized, but once I met with estimator (Duke) and had his number everything was really easy. Quote was WAY, WAY lower than the 3 other companies that bid, which seemed too good to be true. After researching them and reading all their great reviews online, I signed their contract. They did a great job. They had really challenging terrain to work with and quite a bit of clearing necessary. They never once complained about it. They had 6 people working, showed up on time, worked long days and finished my chain link in just 4 1/2 days (other companies had said it would take 2 weeks). I'm really happy I went with them. Wish I'd used them for the ornamental fencing project I had done just previous to calling them. Chain link fence looks great and they took the time to make sure it was dog proofed (and it has been fully tested by my 3 dogs since). Very happy with them.

Duke was great to work with. He has pictures of examples and is very open to what design you want. Responsive and good customer service. Price was very reasonable, comparable to another I got. He was able to get me in pretty quickly. I actually rescheduled a FEW times, but he was very patient and nice about it. I will consider them in future for some landscaping projects.

Excellent. Of three companies that gave bids, only Alki paid attention to the detail of what I want it, and bid it correctly. This was a complicated job, with four different types of fencing to match my needs in different areas. They got it right, and at the lowest bid by far. Once hired, the work went fast, with terrific results. Courteous crew obviously took pride in their work, and did a good (though not perfect) job cleaning up. Since its completion, I've had literally dozens of compliments from neighbors and passersby - have even seen people stop their cars and get out to come inspect the fence more closely!

The estimate was far below any other estimate and the other estimates didn't even include the concrete removal. I am very happy with the quality of the work and was surprised how quickly they got the job done. The whole job start to finish took only 3 days. Very quick because they had enough laborers here to do it quickly. Regarding price, the conditions of the estimate state that extra costs will be necessary if any trees or plants needed to be removed. They had to do that for me and I was expecting to have to pay for it. But they didn't even charge me. Cost matched the estimate exactly. My only complaint was that they were a little late (30 minutes) at the very beginning when the job was supposed to start and I had to meet them. That's easy to overlook that now that the job is done well and much quicker than I thought. They also do landscaping so when it warms up I'll probably use them to put grass where the concrete was removed and some other landscaping.

Sales person (Duke) was friendly and prompt. Pricing was best by far....very far. Quality work and materials. (Spoke with several referrals supplied by Alki and they were very approving of the work/professionalism they displayed.) Due to vague description on the paperwork passed along as well as different work teams for each day, (post digging and installation team, rail installation team and finishing team) there was a loss of communication. I happened to look out the window and noticed they were not installing the fence I had originally discussed with the salesperson. After a minor correction, they were very apologetic and quickly removed the rails that were installed incorrectly and repeated the work as originally requested. Clean up was complete. The fence looks fantastic and I would strongly recommend them to anyone. Be sure to be very clear that you and the work team agree what is to be done. Very highly recommended for price and professional quality of work.

Great. The fence looks awesome. The work was done very quickly and the process was very easy for us. Other fence companies asked that we trim bushes and trees along the fence line and Alki was willing to work around them -- which was great for us.

We tagged on to our neighbors fence building project and had a great experience with Alki Fence. Our contact person and job site foreman was Duke, and we found him to be very pleasant, professional, and easy to work with. He did an excellent job of working with us on price, accommodating a last minute change, and finishing up on time.

Totally frustrating and time wasting experience. Would not use them.
