VINH'S REFRIGERATION & HEATING

Our AC unit had frozen up and even though I had turned it off the fan continued to run. We have American Home Sheild and therefore do not have the ability to choose our service providers. We have an older house with older AC units. I was concerned that the company they were sending would not be familiar with our AC system as this has happened in the past with other providers that AHS has sent.However, I was pleasantly surprised when I learned Vinh's Appliance Refrigeration and Heating have worked on these old units before. He quickly found and repaired the problems. Very happy with their service!!

It was ok, had difficult time understanding Tech.

They did not accurately find the problem.... claimed that it was the thermostat....put in a new thermostat that also failed. Then failed to come back on Friday to fix issue leaving us with NO heat for weekend! Refused to answer "emergency number" for us or for American Home Shield (see the experience I left with that). Now with cranky husband who hates the cold and no furnace. Thankfully I did get a small disk heater to hold him over. Company employees are hard to understand, refuse to handle emergency calls and will not work a weekend despite their lack of ability to fix problem in 3 weekday opportunitys.

We woke up on Wednesday July 3rd to 80 degrees in our house. We knew we were in deep trouble because we were in a 100 degree plus heat wave for several days. I called American Home Shield to request service on their automated system. It was the first time I had used my membership with AHS so I was not sure how this would go. A couple of hours later I got a call from an AHS representative that she had found someone who could come out on Friday or Saturday to fix our heat pump. Since we were in a heat wave I understood all the air conditioning companies in the area would be swamped with work. Wednesday was a miserable day and our house got up to 90 degrees by the end of the day. We did not look forward to the 4th and had to sit outside under a tree because the house was so hot. Early that afternoon, we got a call from Vinh that he would be here around 4:00. Wow! Really? You will come out on a holiday to help us? That was the very best news we could get. He was right on time, very nice and knowledgeable, and had the AC going in about 10 minutes. The total bill was $180 but our part with AMS was only $75. We were very impressed with Vinh. He has a very high work ethic. He was working very hard to get as many customers as possible their AC back in a week long heat wave.

When the prediction is for over 100 degrees for the weekend and the air conditioning decides to quit working right on schedule, it is time to panic. This provider was right on time, gave me a good estimate after the diagnostics were completed, and fixed the problem for exactly what was estimated. Nice friendly, professional service. This is the second time I have used this company, and I will use them again if the need arises.
