It was a total nightmare overall dealing with the Bayses. The contractors were all nice and helpful and did all they could to make it right, so the finished product is good although not perfect. Was told when I signed the contract with Carla that the whole remodel would take 2-3 days. The first day the first contractor arrived he told me it would take a lot longer, at least 5 days, which wasn't a problem for me. The demo and installation of the shower and fixtures went just fine. I then watched him open the box for the glass shower doors and they were not the style I had ordered. Since that was the first mistake and I didn't want to wait for the correct doors to be ordered, I told him to go ahead and install the doors he had, which he did. He then started to paint the walls and called me in to look at the color because he thought it didn't match well next to the shower surround, which it didn't. The color was not the color I had picked out and was shown on a sample. It was not acceptable because it looked awful. I called Carla and told her the paint color looked nothing like the sample I was shown and she argued with me over the phone that it was the color I picked so if I wanted another color I would have to go buy it myself, which I did ($75). Next was the flooring install. The contractor rolled it out on my patio to do the cutting, measured it, and then re-measured the floor to ensure it had been measured correctly before the flooring was ordered, which it had not. Carla measured everything the day I signed the contract and she measured wrong. I called her and she did admit to that mistake and did order more flooring, which I had to wait for so Marv (contractor) stopped what he was doing, went to another job, and then came back a week or so later once the flooring came in. He installed the flooring. Originally I was going to paint my existing vanity and therefore only ordered the granite top and faucet for that vanity. When Marv went to place the granite countertop he discovered that the hole for the sink had been cut out in the wrong place, again because Carla measured incorrectly. Another call to Carla and then Carl resulted in an argument over the phone. I was told they were not going to order another countertop and the only thing they could do would be to order another sink that would not be an undermount, but would rather sit on top. They were both yelling at me over the phone about it wasn't her measuring mistake because of the style of my vanity, which Marv said was ridiculous because any contractor who would have measured would have actually opened the cupboard and drawer in the vanity to see exactly where the hole should be cut, which is not what Carla did when she measured. The conversations with the Bayses ended with me thinking they were going to order another granite countertop since that was what I demanded. I was given a timeline for the order to go through and after not hearing back for a longer period I called and was told they were waiting for the sink to come in. When Marv came back a few weeks later he told me they did not order a new countertop, but rather just an over mount sink. I looked at the sink, which I had not picked out, and it was hideous so I told him not to install it. I called Carla again and again she yelled at me that there was no way there were going to order new granite since it is so expensive and my only other choice is to order a new vanity that will fit the countertop. At that point I was ready to have the job stopped and find another contractor to finish, but Marv was great, did a good job when he could, and I really wanted him to finish the job because he was on my side the whole time as he was sharing stories with me about all the other problems that had occurred with other clients and that he was looking for another job because he felt Carla and Carl didn't care at all about doing good construction, they only cared about getting as many sales as possible and then doing the jobs as quickly as possible. I agreed to buy a new vanity and waited another month or so to get it installed. It was custom made and when it arrived it had not been made correctly so some adjustments had to be made. Marv had left the company by that time so I had another contractor who didn't know what to do so he called his supervisor who arrived and he figured out a way to fix it. They were both here for 6 hours instead of the one hour it should have taken. Then when he went to install the faucet, which was supposed to fit (of course), it did not fit. One of the guys went to Home Depot and exchanged the faucet for one that would fit, installed it, installed the mirror, and was very gracious about the whole mess. In addition, the toilet that was ordered was the wrong color as well and had to be changed by me, there was no transition piece between the flooring in the bathroom and the carpet right outside the bathroom, so I had to request that, and molding was only ordered for around the floor and not for the door frame, which is a usual thing to do, so I had to request that as well and paid for it myself and it wasn't painted. The first time I took a shower I noted that one of the doors did not shut all the way and I still have not remedied that. I would NEVER hire this Rebath franchise again and have passed the work around. When I went to buy the new paint and was explaining what happened to an employee there, she told me she had heard there were problems with these people. Only if I had known before signing the contract.

Response from Rebath of Tricities
I think before a customer gets to write a bad review the customer should call us. It has been about 8 months and we have never heard a word from the customer we offer a lifetime warranty on our workmanship and products. The customer complaint is riddled with half truths. The shower door was correct from the start it is a stock door that we carry in our warehouse. So I am not sure where they statement is coming from. The paint color, again the customer chose biscuit per her contract which she signed off on. The flooring was measured incorrect and we fixed the situation as fast as possible. The vanity was jimmy rigged from who ever put the original top on, the customer wanted to keep her vanity and we did not know it was jimmy rigged to hold the sink until we tore the old top off. Once again we fixed the problem immediately, the customer did not demand anything nor was there any yelling. We have 1200 positive reviews from customers in our files, why would we have a customer mad over a few hundred dollar vanity top. Does not make sense. We have a A- rating with the BBB because we take care of our customers. The customer choose to buy a new vanity because there old vanity looked terrible with a new bathroom remodel. We gave the customer the vanity at cost and then performed additional trim work for the customer at no additional charge. The customer filed a complaint with the BBB about the timeline of the install and we remedied the problem the same day and it was closed as satisfying the customer. The customer also obtain financing through Enerbank and the customer clearly signed the form stating they were 100% satisfied with the company, the work performed and the payment authorization form was submitted to us by the customer. I guess I am surprised that a customer would not call us once in 8 months to talk about what they might be unhappy about. Unfortunately we are in construction and sometimes surprises happen, we do our best to make sure the customer is always taken care of. I wish she would have reached out to us to handle this situation. Thank you for your time.
