Last fall, I ordered a new cover for my pool. I had to have it measured, so the lady said that the measure person would call me later that week since he wasn't in the day I ordered and paid for half. I waited a week, and nobody called so I called the store and asked when the guy was going to call. She contacted the person and he called the next day and measured my pool about a week later. He told me the cover would be ordered and should arrive in a couple of weeks. I waited a month, and when I hadn't heard anything I called the store asking when my cover was coming in. The lady, apologizing, said she forgot to order it. So,,a few weeks later it finally arrived and we made an appointment for November 9 for them to install the cover. By this time, the solar cover had frozen to the pool enough that we couldn't take it off so they were not able to clean the pool before closing. No problem, I was told since when they open it in the spring, they would clean and vacuum it. I called the store to ask how much it would cost and what exactly they do when they opened the pool in the spring. I was told, usually it costs about $200 plus a travel fee since we are out of town and that they would remove the winter cover, put chemicals in the pool and clean it and get the pump up and running. What they didn't tell me is that since we couldn't clean it when it was closed, it became a swamp. When I called the owner, Chris Simmons, he told me that that's what happens when the temperature gets hot in April and who can predict what is going to happen? Okay, then don't tell me that you are going to clean my pool when you open it! I have always opened my pool and winterized it, and never had it turn into a big swamp. . They did clean off my solar cover since it was covered with green algae and I appreciated that. But they charged me $369 to open the pool!!!! That is a lot more that $250. I just feel taken advantage of even though I have been very patient with them and the "forgetting" to order my cover and "forgetting" to measure for it! I was thinking about using their pool maintenance for the summer, but not now!!!! I don't trust that they would have my best interest in mind.

Description of Work: We had a leak on our pool pump. They were able to give me an estimate and come to our property to remove it. They took it back to their office to rebuild it. The only complaint I had was that they did not contact me when they were finished. I had to contact them. However, the young man that removed and put the pump back in was very knowledgable and professional.

Just make sure you have them call when they are on their way..sometimes they can't make the scheduled time due to other jobs that end up taking longer than expected. We understand that, if our job takes longer I wouldn't want them to up and leave to go to another appointment without finishing. Overall this company cares about their clients and it shows!
Description of Work: We have never had a pool before and so when The employees of Mirage Pool n Spa came out to open our pool we wanted to learn as much as we could about maintaining our in-ground pool. They cleaned the pool, put chemicals in to get it ready for use and showed us how to backwash the pool filter. They were so helpful and made sure we wrote notes about what to do to maintain the pool. There was a miscommunication about the mineral system we wanted to have installed so they came out again for free to install the system. I purchased the system at their store for $150 and had it there when they came. And we did have a leak in our pumping system that took them a couple of times to figure out what it was but the fix was done quickly and at a reasonable cost ($110). We have been very pleased with their service and will use them again.
