JESSE'S LAWN MAINTENANCE

It went from bad to worse. I was told the work would take at the most 1 week, it took better than a month. I had the put in a basalt retaining wall last fall. This spring, before irrigation was turned on my new wall is coming apart. I called and talked to Jesse personally and he told me that he wouldn’t come and fix it that it was my problem. He refused to even come and check it out. I am a very unhappy customer and do not recommend Jesses’s Lawn Maintenance to anyone.

I had a bad sprinkler that needed replacing and a leaking filter. I can replace a sprinkler on my own, but I figured I would have them do it as I did need help with the filter. The tech they sent out was really nice, on-time, and professional. He replaced my sprinkler and tightened the filter housing. It seemed like that had been the simple fix it needed, until I tried to turn on my system and nothing happened. He had pulled my irrigation switch to just the halfway point. Once I pulled it all the way, the filter was leaking again. I called the company the next day and was told that they would charge me another fee for coming out to look at it. I argued that they had already looked at it and it was still broken (the extra fee was not charged, btw, and the pricing was fair). They sent the same tech the next day. We asked him to just replace the whole filter unit. He did this and it now no longer leaks. However, a week later, the sprinkler that was replaced now leaks like nobody's business. I give up. I have come across so many awful lawn maintenance companies in my area that I am just going to figure out the fix on my own.

Quality of work was great. Workers took care to minimize damage to existing lawn and fencing when bringing in heavy equipment. Workers and supervisor were responsive and polite. Supervisor came out whenever we felt a need to speak with him. Work slowed off and on as company attention was diverted to a large commercial project. Supervisor explained whatwas happening and was responsive to our desire to complete our project quickly, too. We will use this company again.

The landscaping was generally of a good quality but my husband and I were disappointed that when a tree died it was not replaced upon our request. The concrete patio and water feature have been most disappointing. Scarring stains appeared on the water feature and patio almost immediately. We addressed these stains right away with Jesse's Landscaping. In response we have been provided with several statements that don't seem entirely consistent with each other. First: We were told, you have a bad concrete mix. ...... Second: The stains are the result of our personal flower pots sitting out on the patio. and "hard water coming down from flower pots onto the patio surface." Third: We should show some patience as the staining would eventually go away. We have recently tried to get Jesse's Landscaping to address these problems so that we could have an aesthetically pleasing patio/water feature that we paid for and had a right to expect. But all efforts to get Jesse's Landscaping to be responsible in taking care of these issues have been unsuccessful. For a project that cost $40,000.00 we had an expectation that Jesse's Landscaping, at its own expense would take care of any issues that were easily observable by a homeowner. All visitors to our home this year have asked, "what happened to your patio?" I would NOT RECOMMEND Jesse's Landscaping to anyone!!

They were punctual and did the work I asked them to perform. Given that it was yard cleanup I think they could have been a little more contentious on taking care of some of the obvious items that needed attention. They were on my property about 2 hours so for 300 I think they could have spent a little more effort. On the upside they were courteous, punctual and they did do what I asked.

The crew on both days were professional, very courteous, and respectful of our property. Each day, they left our yard clean....removed all debris, swept up spilled gravel, etc. Darren made a visit the first day of work to communicate with his crew and my husband, also named Jesse. The experience was excellent and we will request them again. We were also very pleased with the estimate. We had a budget and Darren was able to stay within that and still do what we needed done. Additionally, Darren was professional and courteous.

Had multiple problems after project finished. Looked great after completion, but had to have them come back several times for dead plants, poor gravel application (irrigation pipes in beds showing,) etc.

The big negatives were a change of schedule that they requested which resulted in them mowing on the date they said they WOULDN'T mow, and then mowed on the NEW scheduled day (only 4 days later), at which time they mowed the back yard (which they weren't supposed to mow) and left the back gate open so my dog could get out of the yard because she has a doggie door that would let her into the back yard. I did pay for their error. That was in August 2011. I used Jesse's from 7/21/2011 through 10/24/2011 and received one statement each month. Out of those 4 statements, 3 were in error. I was double charged for 8/29/11; double charged for 10/24; and charged for 10/17 and 10/31, when there were NOT mows done. I talked with their billing clerk and received an apology each time, and she said the system was automatic, but found my notes that I had called in and said they weren't taken into consideration. I think it's a really great way to make more money from people who don't have time to pay attention to detail. I will NOT use Jesse's again.

When I got the bill, it more than I expected. I called Jesse's and explained the time they were here and the work that wa done. She turned the call over to Rick. I explained again why I thought the bill was too high. We disussed it. He made an adjustment in the price. I was happy with the price and the fact that he was willing to discuss it. This is customer service. It is hard out there right now for any company. So when someone is willing to go the extra step to keep a customer, that is awesome. We will use Jesse's again.

We called several places to get bids. We had to call Jesse's several times before they returned our calls. Then, they just called and said it would be $13,000, which was over 3x more than the next highest bid They never met with us and we're not even sure if they came and looked at the yard. We definitely had the feeling that they did not want to do the job, and were bothered that they just didn't come out and tell us. I will not consider them again for any work.

Good. I had no problems.

After several calls and no show we finally got a hold of them. When they did come out, they did a great job in very little time. They put into zones, one for our main yard and one for our flower bed. They also contracted an electrician who added an automated timer. It has worked out very well since.

Unfortunately, the estimate that they gave me (first time clean-up, then weekly mowing and trimming, and aeration) was three times the price of the other estimates for every service compared to those that I have received from three other lawn maintenance companies. After all of that effort I was really dissapointed that they were priced so high. I chose someone else.

It looks like they are going to come out and do some work for me in the next week. They were quick to respond and seemed very professional. My interaction was over the phone and it was positive. I called two other companies and they never even returned my phone calls. It took them a day to return my phone call. They have seemed to do a good job so far.

We had a little problem with the scheduing as to why some of our lower marks on responsiveness and punctuality. We would call Jesse's again.

They did more work than requested and did it very well. (They performed above and beyond what they promised at no additional charge.) They're not cheap but they're very good and very professional.

I had Jessie?s come out to give a rebid on a project they bid last year. They came out last spring (2009) and bid a yard landscaping job. I was happy with the price. But then there was no communication to or from them. Jessie would not return my calls, and the suddenly out of the blue in early fall, he called. "Did I still want to do the job?." It was not a good time as my dad?s wife had just passed away so I said we would have to revisit it in spring.. When he came out in the spring of this year, he looked over the yard, was very cordial, but then never got back to me. I had the distinct impression that it was ?beneath? him as it was not a prestigious ?Homebuilder?s tour of homes home.? Once snubbed I will not return.
