On 6/18/14 at approximately 4 pm, a pipe burst in the attic which caused the ceiling in the kitchen and dining area to collapse. Water ran down the walls into the bedroom and closet below. I immediately called our insurance company to report the damage and was referred to Emergency Restoration out of Kennewick. I called, and within one hour the owner, Sean Hayes, and his crew were at our house to assess the damage and begin work. Because of the amount of damage, one-half of the ceiling the entire length of the house in the kitchen and dining area had to be removed. The interior area around the windows in the dining area also had to be removed. Downstairs in the bedroom and closet below the dining room, the walls half-way up had to be removed and the carpet taken out. Sean and his crew worked tirelessly until about 11 pm ensuring that the damaged sheetrock and insulation were bagged and removed. They set up equipment in all areas to dry it out to ensure against mold growth. Blowers ran 24/7 for days drying everything out. Sean came to our house every day to inspect the damage, check on the equipment to ensure it was running properly and test the dryness of the walls. Once the damaged areas were completely dry, the restoration process began. Each day Sean's crew came to the house on time and as scheduled to work. They installed new sheetrock, refinished and painted the baseboards, walls and ceiling. Every day, the crew cleaned up after themselves to ensure that no mess was left behind. The crew did a fantastic job installing new sheetrock and painting. We cannot tell where the original sheetrock ends and the new sheetrock begins. Paint work on the sheetrock is perfect. New carpet padding was installed and the carpet in the bedroom and closet was re-installed and cleaned. Because of falling debris, the corian countertop in the kitchen had a crack in it, so Sean sent a repairman named Tim to assess the damage for repair. We had a piece of countertop material that matched the installed top. Tim took it with him in order to refinish it and cut to size. Tim removed a section about 10" wide from the countertop and replaced it with the piece that we had. Then, Tim buffed and restored the entire countertop. The job is perfect and there is no trace of where the cut was made to replace the damaged piece. We are just amazed at the workmanship. We are extremely pleased with the entire experience working with Emergency Response personnel and Sean. Sean wanted to ensure that the job was to our satisfaction. His crew worked tirelessly to complete the project as scheduled. Every person on Sean's team is professional, enthusiastic, and dedicated to ensuring that their work is complete and to the customer's expectation. Emergency Restoration far exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend their services!
