I've worked with professionals, seniors, many cultures, individuals with physical limitations. Insured. No charge for travel within 20 miles. Payment is due at the time of service. Cancellations required 48 hours in advance to avoid incurring a fee. Pets in the home are fine.

Having lived in this "too-big-now-for-just-me" house for 28 years, and being in no particular rush, I have slowly and steadily been organizing, de-cluttering and attempting to downsize. The challenge is immense, and I could not possibly be doing it without Terri's steadfast and patient assistance. In the beginning, I knocked myself out trying to get organized before Terri's visits, but I soon came to realize that she is totally non-judgmental, completely understanding, soft-spoken, gentle and kind. Terri has helped me to develop systems for clutter control and time management. She has encouraged me to part with things that no longer serve a purpose in my life, and many bags of clothing and household goods have gone to the thrift store, and boxes of books to the library for its sale. During this process, I found a generous amount of cash in a long-forgotten birthday card, and sold at auction a painting that no longer brought me joy, so I am receiving more value than the cost of Terri's service. And of course, the peace of mind I feel with less stuff and clutter is priceless!
Description of Work: I needed help taming my piles of papers, organizing closets and cupboards, giving away clothes and household "treasures", and developing strategies to stay on top of all my "stuff".

Terri was wonderful! She came in and helped my elderly father unpack and organize his personal effects after a recent move. She focused on ensuring his space was safe and useful for him. We were able to relax while Terri dove in and helped make us much more organized. I highly recommend her!

I've been using her for a while and she has gotten used to some of my quirks. She helps with any crisis that I have going on around the house. She is very good at helping me with high priority things that need to be done now. Her price is good.

Terri Fischer was the organizer. She's very patient with me. I have a lot of organization problems. She is very good at communication. She is very bright. I've been using her for a while and she has gotten used to some of my quirks. She has hard-wired some of the things we do together very frequently such as changing all the air filters in the house. I have respiratory problems so I have 3 different air filters besides the normal filters in the returns. Some of them are rather complicated. A couple of them take two people to do. It is very helpful to me that she does that. She helps me with some light typing. She helps with any crisis that I have going on around the house. She is very good at helping me with high priority things that need to be done now. She wraps presents and packages things that need to be shipped. She takes things to the post off and thrift stores. She helps with decorations at Christmas time. Her price is good.

Terri assisted in my down-sizing and organizing prior to my moving everything from my house. I had a deadline, and it was a huge job. She brought in another helper for 2 days and a 3rd helper for 1 day. They were always punctual, pleasant and very helpful. I will use Terri again on the unpacking end - so that everything will be in its place, organized for function as well as looking attractive. In addition, I will probably have Terri come from time to time during the year to keep everything organized.
Description of Work: Terri was a LIFE SAVER!! They organized mountains of paper - into piles to be shredded, things to trash and things to keep and file. They put all electronic/computer things together and labeled; all bedding together, etc. They went through closets, getting like things together, separated everything for items to be donated, things to trash and things to keep. Again everything was labeled. She brought everything from boxes to pens to tape. She called places for me to donate things, she took some things to consignment shops. She knew companies who would pick up my boxes to be shredded.

Terri is easy and pleasant to work with.She is very bright and capable.(1 + 1) = 3. When I work with Terri, we get 3 times as much done as I do on my own.We started out always working together, but now there are a lot of household engineering and home management tasks I can simply delegate to her, and know that she?ll carry them out well.Working with Terri gives me a huge step forward, and inspires me to continue on my own to finish projects.The psychological factor is important ? I feel less overwhelmed and can see the light at the end of the tunnel.She gives me such a lift that I keep going.The approximate cost varies with the type of work-I have usually paid around $50 per hour.
Description of Work: Terri has helped me with:A death in the family, sorting, organizing, packing and shipping estate items; and planning a memorial. She was sensitive to my emotional state and patient with the organizational problems it caused me.Keeping on top of my paperwork: correspondence; light typing; organizing and filing; online and phone orders.Routine light household tasks that my housekeeping service does not do: for example changing or cleaning of Air Filters.Routine errands such as taking packages to Post Office, donations to charity; picking up Container Store items; and bringing me lunch or Starbucks on her way over.Planning and hosting a social event.At Christmastime and Birthdays:putting up decorations; wrapping and shipping gifts.In general, she helps me with whatever tasks are my highest priorities of the day.
