Todd was the first of five contractors I met with to discuss our deck project. Four of the five contractors provided estimates to replace our old and deteriorating wood deck with TimberTech. I chose Icon Decking because Todd made a good first impression, his bid was competitive and submitted in a timely manner, and he communicated well throughout the process, answering my questions, addressing concerns and making helpful suggestions. He also focuses exclusively on decks, rather than take on a wide array of general remodeling work, which makes him very knowledgeable and experienced. His craftsmanship is excellent and he worked hard along with his associate to rebuild our very large deck which spans the length of our rambler. The final result is beautiful! We are very happy we chose Icon Decking!

I hired Todd for repairing the front column which was challenging due to its size and hight. He is the one who is the most knowledgeable and gave a reasonable quote. Todd completed the project with high quality and on time as promised. He is friendly and kept us informed about his starting date based on weather condition. I am very satisfied with his service and would absolutely hire him for my next deck project. I highly recommend his service.

We had a deck renewal done in March of 2021. Todd was very knowledgeable, never pushy, and communication with us was excellent! The work was done in the given time frame by efficient crew. We are very happy with the result.

Todd was excellent. He provided suggestions on design and materials that we hadn't considers and that worked out extremely well. He and his crew were very pleasant and efficient on all ends, from tear down of our old deck to removal of all waste materials to construction. Todd was properly communicative and kept us informed throughout the project. The total cost was very reasonable and we are extremely pleased with the quality of the construction and the look of our new deck.

Our experience with Todd and his team was unequivocally positive. From the very first contact to final sign off Todd communicated the status of the project and set our expectations. He patiently explained the pros and cons of a wood deck and a composite deck, and then guided us to a decision that met our most important needs, and our budget. Todd started the project when he said he would, and there were no surprises during the entire project (well, I guess Todd didn't foresee that a global pandemic would pause the project; but I don't hold that against him :-)). The construction quality of the deck, and the final outcome both exceeded our expectations. This was the best contractor experience I can recall having. I wholeheartedly recommend Todd and Icon without reservation.

Just quality people who live up to their word. I would give them a 10 if the rate went as high. Todd is just a quality person who is kind and professional. Great working with him ...a true craftsman. I just wish my wife was still alive to enjoy our deck.

Todd did an amazing job! We loved the ideas he gave us and we could not be happier with the deck he built. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional.

Todd did a good job. Good quality and honest. The only hiccup is he bid the job not knowing the material he bid is not available. I waited for several weeks and there was no material and no ETA when it will arrive. We were stuck in the middle of the job and we were way past the completion date deadline. Todd said nobody in town has it. I got tire of waiting and I started calling around myself to find someone in town who had the material. Dunn Lumbar had it. It ended up costing me more money to get the job done. I felt like Todd should of participated some in the additional cost for the material. Lesson learned...Make sure you confirm availability on material and put completion date in writing. Also, I would confirm with contractor that if for some reason their warehouse doesn't have material and they need to purchase elsewhere they will pay the difference in cost.

We hired Todd to replace our aging wooden deck. He was a pleasure to work with. He was clear in his proposal and estimates and came up with some great ideas to not just replace what was there, but improve it. He got weathered out one day by heavy rain, but the next day he and his co-worker worked straight through without a lunch break to get back on schedule. I hired Todd to replace our wood deck with Trex. He did a very good job and was open to suggestions, etc., all praises to his job knowledge and workmanship. Although no fault of his, but of the railing vendor, our deck took three months to finish, instead of the 17 days forecasted. Yes, will hire Todd again.

We hired Todd to replace our old 1000 sq ft cedar deck with new composite decking and railing. We are so thrilled with the result. Todd did an impeccable job, suggesting needed structural changes as the project unfolded. His pricing was competitive and clear. He guided our decisions about decking materials for the best aesthetic result. Todd was pleasant and non-intrusive. He encouraged our participation in making all decisions. We now have a stunning new deck. This has increased our property value and our daily enjoyment. We recomment Todd highly. You will not be disappointed.

We hired Todd to perform some repairs to our water damaged support posts on the front deck in preparation for exterior painting. while pulling away the damaged lumber he discovered the builder must have poured the concrete around the support pillars after installation and some pieces could not be removed as a result. He also discovered that the lower portion of the trim was actually a polyvinyl material that had held up compared to the wood. He made the suggestion that while it would cost a bit more than replacing the lumber the material would hold up better long-term in that exposed location. I appreciated his suggestion and went with the vinyl material that he had to laminate himself because it came in pieces half the needed thickness. Despite all this extra work and change in materials I was happy to see that my final invoice was only a bit more expensive than the original estimate. Todd is very budget conscious and I felt involved in the decision process throughout the project. I highly recommend Todd and appreciate his integrity.

Todd not only made a very competitive bid for the lower deck we were adding on to our existing deck but he was very professional in his approach to the project, including not spending extra for clear cedar when the deck was going to be stained. The overall customer service and professionalism throughout our project was exceptional. We couldn't be happier with the finished product and would highly recommend Nice N Handy to anyone.
