While we did not chose to go with Cutting Edge Upholstery, Justin was quick in responding to our request for a quote and requested further details. We did not choose to use Cutting Edge Upholstery only because they could not get to our job in the time frame we needed (4 days)...holidays and such.

Their website is very easy to use to submit a request for an estimate. I sent a couple photos of one of our kitchen chairs and described what I wanted repaired on them. Todd responded promptly just as promised on the web site with an estimate I felt was reasonable including a breakdown of materials cost and labor. I made an appointment to drop off the chairs a few days later. When I dropped off the chairs, Todd was there to greet me and inspect the chairs. He informed me about the work that would be required including replacing the padding in the seat which was mentioned in his estimate. Todd showed me many shades of brown vinyl that he could order and I was able to select a perfect match to the vinyl being replaced. A purchase order was written before the work was started to ensure the price quoted would be firm. I made a deposit thinking that it would take a couple of weeks to have the chairs repaired/refinished. Todd was able to have the materials delivered the next day and because my job was small was able to complete the work over the weekend. When I picked up the chairs, I was so pleased with the quality of workmanship. The chairs were restored to completely new including the piping around the edges of the seats! Not only was I pleased with these chairs that look brand new, but I also enjoyed working with Todd. He is extremely knowledgeable, efficient and personable. I highly recommend Cutting Edge Upholstery to anyone considering to have this type of service provided! Thanks for a wonderful experience!
Description of Work: We have two kitchen chairs that were purchased in the late 1970's that needed to have the vinyl seats repaired due to wear and tear and rips in the vinyl.

Fine.
Description of Work: Contacted them for an auto upholstery job. They let me know that they no longer do auto upholstery but that they couldn't edit their entry on Angie's List. So, just wanted to let everyone know. The gentleman I spoke to was very friendly and I would certainly consider them for furniture upholstery work in the future.

Amazing service. Cutting Edge set up an appointment after giving me an email estimate from pics I sent them. They were in contact the entire process updating me on the progress of various items. Don't think I've ever been involved with a company that was so intent on customer satisfaction and keeping me and quot;in the loopand quot; of the process, not to mention affordable. Our couch was very worn, and joints were pulling apart. WE couldn't find a replacement we liked as well, even considering the $6K range. The leather sides and back + all the upholstered cushions, welted pillows, fringe pillows, nail head trim and wood scrolled arms made this a difficult piece to restore. These guys repaired the frame; the match up of the pattern still has me in shock! All the florals and scrolls on the material was matched up in the cushions and pillows PERFECTLY! Moving on to the and quot;Monks chairsand quot;, they took special care with these treasures. I purchased 6 mahogany Queen Anne/Chippendale style chairs that have a history from a monastery (hence the name Monks Chairs) which closed in Spokane, Wa. many years ago. They had been in storage for over 60 years making them in excess of 100yrs. old. The upholstery was dire to say the least. Cutting Edge repaired the seat stuffing/padding and recovered these beauties with TLC. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I had stripped the old wax and hand rubbed a new coat on them before sending them to be recovered; they felt the job I did was great and did not redo my finish (which was a good opportunity to charge me more). Up front and honest...I love that. Then came the other 4 cane-back chairs purchased from an antique dealer to go with our rose wood dining table. These were somewhat rickety and the seats were very uncomfortable due to lack of padding. I used them around a game table upstairs. Wow, what a transformation! They used remnants from the couch material matching the floral/scroll design so each seat had the floral motif in the center. The joints have been repaired; they are so comfortable and gorgeous that they are in the study. We have 2 wing-back chairs that will need recovered soon and I will certainly use this company. Their estimates were spot on and the communication was amazing. I really wish they gave and quot;business etiquetteand quot; lessons. There are many companies offering all services that could use the lessons.
Description of Work: Restored a well used older(18yrs.) high-end couch; recovered 6 antique mahogany dining chairs + restored 4 antique cane-backed dining chairs in less than a month.

Well, what an awesome experience. This is the very first time I have written a review on Angie's List. I met with Justin to discuss the repairs on my seat as the upholstery had cracked. Justin told me what he would do and we agreed on the panels to be replaced and a price of $250 to do the work. I thought the price was very fair. So, before I got the repairs done, an ice pack that I used for my back broke and the chemical inside really messed up some of the upholstery that was not part of the original repair. It affected both the seat panel and the back panel. Justin said he had enough material to replace those and only charged me an additional $50! I know this was a lot of work for very little compensation. The repair is beautiful and looks brand new. Not only did he do this awesome job, he cleaned up and greased the tracks and the seat moves much easier. He vacuumed everything and did all the little extras that show how service oriented this company is. I am so impressed with his work and devotion to the customer, I will be taking my motor home back in the spring to have him replace the cushions on the couch. I found this company on Yelp and am glad that I used them! This is a great family business.
