They did a really great job. They were professional, exact and I was pleased with their work.

They were very nice and very expensive. It was the highest quote. He wanted a ridiculous amount of money so he didn't come back. He was very nice. He just thought a great deal of his services. He was fine. There was nothing wrong with him except he wanted too much money compared to the other quotes that I had.

They were very good but I haven?t decided if I?ll use them yet. He gave me a lot of information and he seemed knowledgeable.

Ron came out and gave a bid for the work. Is was very competitive with other bids. Crew was very punctual and cooperative, and made several good suggestions. All debris from work performed was hauled away and clean-up was well done. Very nice porch and well constructed. Overall, exceeded my expections.

They are great to work with, they do excellent work, they were here every day. Jay did an outstanding job for me. He had a helper for the framing, after the framing was completed, he built my deck & stairs by himself. They listen to your concerns, give you helpful feedback on designs and products. I would highly recommend them to anyone and would hire them again.

It took them 3 days before they returned my phone call to schedule an estimate. I tried to be accomodating to their schedule and had to jump through my own hoops to make myself available. Ron, the owner showed up on time, and told me that the work I wanted done was too small for their outfit since they are so "successful" but he would refer a bunch of his ex-employees to come out and bid it. My frustration comes from the fact that this whole appointment could have been avoided had their dispatcher, Ron's wife, asked the appropriate questions. Ron tried to make me feel that he was doing me a favor and had better things to do.

Joel arrived on time to preview the site and take measurements for an estimate. He returned an estimate to me on the day he said he would. After receiving bids from 3 other contractors (all on Angie's List), I decided on JRW not only because Joel's estimate was the lowest but also because I felt they had the most experience specific to building and resurfacing decks. The materials arrived on the date expected and the team of two workers began the next morning as scheduled. The time to completion was 7 work days (Monday through Friday) over the course of a 14-day period (including weekends, a holiday, and a couple of days where the workers were needed at another site). Both decks came out great and all of the remaining construction debris was hauled away within a few hours of their completion. I would not hesistate to recommend or reuse JRW in the future.

Joel was pleasent when initially arrived for the estimate. He was straight forward, and explained that there may be some issues with the structure of the deck. Normally I would think this meant that the person was going to take me for a ride, but Joel did not take advantage of me, and found no structural issues. I was pleased from start to finish.

We wanted the outside of the deck's corners to be curved. They told us that they were not experienced enough in that work, and so they brought in an expert. He came out and monitored the work to make sure that it was done correctly. The quality of work was very good and they did a fabulous job. My overall experience with them has been very positive.

Upon our agreemnt to the plan and budget, the crew was available within a week, and performed the work within a week. They did a great job: - They were prompt, polite and professional throughout the process - The pergola looks well built and gives us this great new covered space - We have granite wall with big boulder and they cut the decking planks as close as physically possible to the wall answering our concerns for our toddler (leaving gaps where he could squeeze a foot/leg) - They built stairs on each side of the deck which land nicely to the grass / ground - They cleaned after themselves well Overall they are 1st class contractors and I don't think you can go wrong with them for your next deck project.

Our old deck was quite ratty. We proceeded to compile a top 3 list of companies to do estimates on having the deck replaced and Decks by JRW turned out to be in the middle with cost. Despite freezing temperatures, icy/snowy conditions, and the holidays in December/January, they were able to complete the work in reasonable amount of time and did an outstanding job.

I called Joel and he returned my call instantly and we set up an appointment to give us an estimate within a couple of days. He showed up on time and was very professional and he took measurements and asked questions and made some excellent suggestions. He emailed the next day with drawings for the new deck and porch and estimates. I asked for a modification on porch and he submittied the new drawing within hours! They started the deck the next week with an estimate of 10 days to complete, but they completed the job within 8 days. During the entire job the workers were very professional and Joel came in to check on the job periodically.

They did an excellent job and it never complicated things. They had to work with the city building department on certain requirements. They were able to show me different prices and comparisons. They showed me different designs for railings also. They worked closely with the customer to meet their design and functional needs for the deck. We are very pleased with the results in the design and construction. His price was very competitive with the comparison pricing that we did. I would recommend him very highly.

Deck was completed on time, on budget. Crew was professional and prompt. All went as expected except for the size of post supports (concrete). Stuck up from ground more than expected, and more than estimator had said. There was a good reason, but we didnt realize we had a choice until job was done. They came out after we expressed concern and explained why. Disappointing but inevitable. Appreciated his on-the-spot estimate and its accuracy. (We waited over a week for some others.) Deck was beautifully done. One picket is crooked, but we are expecting that to be fixed (shortly?).

It started off a little poorly because they said they were going to come out on a certain day, so I took the day off. They dropped the materials off that day, but weren't able to actually start working until a couple of days later because they were finishing another job. However, when they tore down the old deck, and put in the new one, whoever did the cleanup did an excellent job. I've never seen anyone clean up that well. I was really happy with that. The quality of the deck was good. The only thing was that we asked for an opaque glass rail, because the neighbors are so close, but when the rail came in it wasn't the right color, so there was a delay to get it in. When we finally got that opaque glass in it was a little blotchy. The work took about two months to complete because of the rails. But overall, after that was resolved, we were happy with the work.

Just as planned. Showed up on time, worked clean, The deck looks perfect. Excellent job.

They were extremely clean. They were neat. They were all courtesy and professional.

If all contractors would produce as well the world would be a better place.
