Great. He was clean, knowledgeable and very quick.

The owner spent time with my wife and I discussing all of the options for our fireplace insert in his showroom. We selected the largest possible gas insert given our existing wood-burning fireplace dimensions and the owner came out to the house the same day to confirm measurements. The date of installation was scheduled one month out from the purchase date. Installers arrived on time and did a nice job routing the gas line 20 feet to the fireplace. However, the installation team did not think the insert would fit and referred us back to the shop to choose a smaller option. Feeling disappointed, we went back to the shop the same afternoon and discussed our purchase with the owner. Trusting his original measurements, he immediately contacted his most experienced installation team and asked them to come back the next day to complete the installation. They arrived on time and did a fabulous job of installing our original insert choice. The quality of the installation is beautiful and appears as if it was designed for the home. The gas fireplace adds warmth to a basement room that was previously uncomfortably cool during the winter months. Now the temperature is perfectly regulated and the ambience is fabulous. We definitely recommend Thompson's Hearth and Home to anyone looking for a quality professional installation with great customer service at a fair price.

We hired Thompsons to install an energy-efficient gas insert into our existing open, gas fireplace. The service in their showroom was excellent. Both Max and the owner Guy answered many questions from us and helped us to pick out the unit that was just right for us. We weren't sure which surround we wanted, so on installation they brought both surrounds for us to see and compare. I really appreciated that, since it would have been hard to pick without seeing the difference. We had a few minor problems arise during installation that Thompsons efficiently and good-naturedly fixed right away. The first was that there was a fuse which blew on installation. They fixed the fuse, but after it blew again the owner himself drove out to my house to bring a completely different unit to replace the first one. All of this happened within just a few hour and I really appreciated their attention to remedying the problem promptly. Secondly, although we had existing gas pipes, when the workman hooked up the unit, we discovered that the pipes had a leak. This was not at all related to anything Thompsons did and was entirely a factor of the pipes being old. However, the guys were able to put in new, updated piping for us to fix that. Again, this was all done very promptly and I was always kept in the loop as to what was going on. Plus, the price for the new piping was very reasonable. Our new gas insert is such an aesthetic improvement over what was there before. And even better, it puts of plenty off heat and makes our family room so cozy. We are thrilled to have it! We had such a great experience with Thompsons that we decided to go ahead and order a 2nd unit for our other fireplace. We can't wait to have it in!

We chose Thompson because of their high ratings here on AL and because they were local here in Issaquah. The showroom was spacious and easy to see and experience the various units. The one we chose was on sale (because it was last year's model), but just as high quality as the others. The installation was smooth as silk: they were in and out before we noticed! We're glad to have a new relationship with another local Issaquah business. Thank you!

Installer set a time and was on time. There two in the crew, both friendly and answered all of our questions. Showed us how to use the remote before leaving. So experience at shop was pleasant as was the installation.

Guy Thompson showed us the gas insert model that would fit in our wood burning fireplace. He provided estimates and we chose the options we wanted. I spoke with the installer, Chad, to schedule the installation date and time. Chad and his helper arrived on time. The installation went well. They were careful to keep everything clean and walked us through the operation of the new insert. The final cost matched the estimate. We are happy with our gas insert and will use Thompson's for maintenance.

Thompson's were very responsive and came out the next day at a busy time of the year. Their technician was very professional, courteous and pleasant to work with. He diagnosed the problems quickly and got the job done.

We had a gas insert installed in our home in 1994 which had pretty continuous use over the last 20 years but it finally "pooped out." Thompson's came last year and repaired it, but at the time told us that it was probably on it's last legs, which didn't shock us. They came out again this year for another repair and told us it probably wasn't worth repairing at this point. We were not surprised--the first one gave us a good run, but it was time. Max, their technician, was not at all high pressure about it, and we completely trusted his opinion on the state of the old fireplace. We went in to Thompsons and picked out our new fireplace and they were here to install it in less than two weeks. (It would have been one week but we couldn't do it earlier. Great service!) It took roughly two and a half hours to install, and it looks great! We can't say enough nice things about their technician Max. He's just an exceptional, and exceptionally nice, technician. And he REALLY knows his stuff! We were very confident with him, and with the install, and are very happy with our fireplace. We definitely recommend Thompson's highly. We had one minor issue pop up after the install, reached Guy (the owner) on the phone, and they were out that same day and made everything perfect. Great company to work with, and just overall a very good experience.

The technician called first-asked if he could come early and promptly arrived. He thoroughly checked out the fireplace, took it apart and cleaned all parts, fixed the problem, cleaned the inside and outside of the glass doors, and touched up the paint on the grate. He was polite, friendly, and competent.

We visited their store and were impressed with the knowledge of Guy and Nicole. We found exactly what we had been looking for and they delivered and installed a liitle bit earlier than they promised. The installation was professionally completed. Initially I thought the price was a little high, however it was the exact quality and look that I had been looking for. After it was installed I realized that the price was the same as other retailers carrying the same product and based on how the unit worked was well worth it. Went back to the store recently and they took the time to show me how to remove the front of the unit to clean a couple of spots and made sure that I had the correct cleaner. Great service all around - really a great ownership to work with. I highly recommend them.

I visited Thompson's Hearth & Home's show room in Issaquah, they helped me find exactly what I was looking for and provided an estimate. Next they came to the house to measure, confrimed estimate and exactly what was needed. They placed order, called me to provide an estimated date of installation. Next called to confirm installation date. Arrived right on time, removed old fireplace box, installed new gas insert, completed work in timely and very professional manner. Called the following day to make sure everything had gone as expected and to make sure I was happy and satisfied. I would use them again and would recommend them to anyone in the future. I love my new gas insert with river rocks!!!

The overall experience was great. Guy and Nicole were great. They helped us select the best unit that would work in the space we had. The price was fair. We also received a free vent kit with purchase. It took about 3 weeks between order date and install. Chad and Christian Vandouris completed the install and did an excellent job. Very professional and fast. Left the place very clean and the new gas lines are great. After installing the fireplace, I noticed and shroud had a blemish in the paint. I took it back to Guy and he gave me a brand new replacement on the spot. Excellent service and extremely responsive. Can't recommend Thompson's enough - they are great!

The owners are awesome - gave me ideas and encouragement throughout the project. The installers (Chad and Christian) were prompt, courteous, professional and friendly. They cleaned up thoroughly and gave me a instructions on using the fireplace once the job was complete. I am thoroughly satisfied and very happy with my new fireplace!
