Kenji and team poured a new floor in our basement directly over a nightmarish mix of old tiles (some broken) on dirt and concrete. Six months later, the surface still looks good. When we needed a bit more material to manage changes in elevation, he communicated clearly about the options and change in price. Everything was done on time and professionally. Highly recommend.

(1) very good job. The process took 5 or 6 days, a different step each day; he wasn't skimping. One day was crack repair, which he probably could have skipped without me noticing. One step involved grinding material applied the previous day to make it smooth - this is laborious. (2) fair price. Kenji did a careful estimate, based on square footage and what was involved. A different contractor quoted me almost twice as much, $5K, after barely looking at the project. (3) hard to understand. Kenji is hard to understand, and I found the document/contract somewhat confusing. Maybe this keeps some customers away? If you're willing to live with that, he does good work at a good price. (4) professional. (4a) I wasn't sure what I wanted at the outset, and Kenji worked through that with me, provided options in the contract, and an updated contract when I requested a change. (4b) He was good about communicating timetable, and what the next steps were. He did need to start one day later than planned (to finish previous project, due to weather delay); that was fine with me, I had indicated I was flexible.

Kenji and his team resurfaced our basement floor as part of a remodel, around 600sq ft in total. The end result was fantastic and the cost was very reasonable.

They were great. The used the Semco product.

Kenji and his flooring are just awesome. He provided the most cost effective solution to a difficult flooring problem in our basement. He leveled a very uneven surface that was over old ceramic tile. Kenji is a hoot to work with and he did everything exactly the way he promised.

It went very well, the owner explained the options and had us visit his showroom to get a better idea of the color and texture options. He provided a quote and the final cost was in line. Everything was done professionally, on time and according to schedule which is much appreciated.

It turned out fine. They were very knowledgeable and prompt. They got the job done in the time they said they would.

Kenji is extremely prompt and responsive in all communication. He explained the process of Semco installation very well and showed us samples. Since this is a several day process with multiple steps, Kenji had to clean up every day. He did a really nice job of keeping the process from impacting the rest of our house. Our new floors are beautiful and durable.

He does a kind of a cement floor. He just seemed like a fantastic guy. Just as honest as the day is long and there is just a sort of sweetness to him. I am thinking of using him in my basement, I think the look of it doesn't look right in my 100 year old house but its okay for my basement. I haven't really gotten back to him but I probably should for my basement but not my kitchen.

Visiting AIA open house we saw the SEMCO floor system applied. We spoke with the owner of the AIA house and he highly recommended Kenji’s company – Secom System Seattle. The company was very professional, on time and worked hard to achieve the color of our choice. Kenji’s service is excellent. There have been some spots we did not like the color of the application, Kenji came and corrected them. We love are floors and are glad we have decided to go with SEMCO flooring (Kenji’s company). Great product, excellent service.

I was so impressed with them! The were very punctual, being on time. The quality of the work was excellent. The time frame for starting and finishing the job was right. The guy that helped me was very professional and was good about giving me samples. The flooring design was different, so you would have to like that. The work was beautiful. The only downside was the bid was just a little lower than the actual price, but it was definitely worth it. They also cleaned up very well after the job was done.
