Description of Work: They were not responding to the messages I sent them on the Angie's List website so I looked up their number and called them. I told them I had purchased their hot tub installation package from Angies list and they told me that they no longer honor those or work with Angies list and that I should request a refund.

Description of Work: We had a breaker that wouldn't reset. We were able to negotiate an exception to the minimum 2 hour fee because a technician was in the area & it was assumed that it could be a "Quick" fix. It was in-fact a "quick fix - took 1 hour or less. The technician was very helpful - showed up on time, was professional & competent. Following this experience, we shared with our neighbors that we had finally found an electrical company that we would continue to work with and recommend highly. The "fix" stayed in place for a number of days (we were gone for approximately 1 week during this time & no one was using the house. Today the same breaker wouldn't reset. I called Scribner electric. The person answering the phone was very curt - yes, he would send someone out, but no he wouldn't negotiate a 1-hour minimum assuming that it was a quick fix. He said something to the extent that he was upset with the previous billing. I was disappointed, but mostly I was surprised at the curt tone. I said something to the effect that I had highly recommended them to the neighbors & I guess I would have to withdraw that recommendation. His response was an immediate - "I don't respond to threats. Good luck finding someone." And he hung up. If a contractor combines higher prices & rude behavior, that seems like a non-starter to me. This is my first negative experience with a contractor I located on Angies List. (And because I've referred to Angies List often in the past several years, I guess that speaks highly for the majority of the contractors on the list.)

Description of Work: Replaced defective circuit breakers.

Description of Work: I really appreciated the help Jace Scribner gave me when I called for a service visit. I explained the circuit problem we were having and told him what I had done to trouble shoot it. I did not request fee advice, but Jace asked a series of questions that allowed him to make an accurate guess about the problem and then he told me what I should do if I wanted to try fixing it myself. That type of customer first service is the best quality you can find in a contractor. I would not hesitate to hire Scribner Electric.

Description of Work: As part of a kitchen remodel, it was necessary to move my electrical panel out of the kitchen and into a hallway. I also needed wiring and installation of under cabinet and over cabinet lighting.

Description of Work: Various electrical wiring jobs, including wiring a new stairway lighting fixture, replacing lighting ballast in another light fixture, etc.

Description of Work: This was an electrical installation for a new hot tub. Job entailed running a 220 volt circuit from electrical panel via conduit 60 feet around outside of home to hot tub location. Everything was done to code including the breaker box mounted outside on the wall near the hot tub.

Description of Work: They reconnected some damaged wiring.

Description of Work: I had a broken wire somewhere past the breaker, causing the entire circuit to lose power. Jace and his apprentice ran a new wire from the breaker to the affected circuit, allowing it to operate normally.

Description of Work: Found an open neutral circuit in kitchen and repaired. It was a simple fix but finding the location of the open circuit was the challenge.

Description of Work: Installed a new junction box for the dishwasher and garbage disposal. Installed a new ground fault circuit interrupter.

Description of Work: Jace moved a junction box, installed a new fixture and fixed a few of my DIY failed efforts.

Description of Work: They did some wiring for my home theater system and a few other things.

Description of Work: An electrical box with breakers was moved from outside the house to inside, the breakers were all re-established, a big conduit was removed, and cables were brought from overhead to under the deck and the house.

Description of Work: Scribner Electrical was way too busy for our small job, but Jace did refer us to a great guy who was able to help us, and he did a great job. Mr. Scribner followed up to ensure we were taken care of!

Description of Work: Requested electrical work for hooking up kitchen overhead vent and repairing a non functioning electrical outlet that had not worked for probably 15 years.

Description of Work: Diagnose and repair partial power outage.

Description of Work: They came to my home to evaluate a dryer plug that may have been malfunctioning. While they were there, they also fixed several other minor problems with lights and also fixed a bathroom outlet.
