Jen is the owner and she is the best! We noticed since we moved in 5 years earlier that our driveway and pool deck was getting chalky and dull and starting to crack. We never thought to have the stamped concrete cleaned and sealed professionally. Now we know what we missed! Our driveway is shiny and looks brand new. The pool deck sparkles and shines. They were careful around my wife's plants and the pool area. The acrylic solvent and penetrating sealer have to be handled by professionals with care and Juan and his team did that. They moved our furniture out of the way and back again. The job was done as expected and the price was more than reasonable for this type of professional service. Jen Simonson came to my newly purchased fixer-upper house on a Saturday morning (thank you!) to explain the process of finishing the house's concrete floors and to give me an estimate. I hired her to pull the decayed carpet/pad from the house and to finished the underlying concrete floors. With teenagers, pets, and--potentially--renters, I was interested in having durable, easy-to-care-for flooring. The resulting finish is that, but, in addition, it's beautiful too! They did a wonderful job, and the floors both look great and will hold up to anything. If you consider having your concrete floors finished, I'd recommend trying to avoid the wettest month(s) of the year. My floors took a little longer than anticipated to fully dry and cure, but I assume that's because of the weather factor. I'd also suggest considering what you want to do about your baseboards. The baseboards will need to come out to finish the floors--inevitably, at least a couple of sections will break during the removal process; it's just a fact of life. It would be good timing to either locate replacement baseboard stock or plan to upgrade or replace your baseboards at the same time as you have the floors finished. I was especially impressed with the company's communication during the process. Jen always returned my calls almost instantly and gave me great information on what to expect during each step of the project. I would definitely do business with Northwest Concrete again.
