MTS Tree and Landscape

Alex and his team did a great job, we're very nice and Alex really knows his stuff when it comes for trees. I will be contacting them again soon about some more trees we need to deal with.

They were on time and tidy and friendly and very knowledgeable about tree types, sunlight and exposure, position on the lot, etc. They pruned and shaped and thinned our old very valuable trees for the first time in the 12 years that we'd lived there. The trees looked beautiful afterwards. I had no idea our yard could look that good!

THIS COMPANY DOES NOT RESPECT PROPERTY RIGHTS. They were working on my neighbors yard, and I specifically told the supervisor not to cut ANY trees on my property. I went back in my house, and 10 minutes later they were cutting 2 of my trees. I tried to discuss this with them, and they would not take any responsibility for their actions. Unfortunately, I had to pursue legal action to resolve the issue.

The tree work was excellent. There was a small problem that one of the cut branches fell on a piece of garden art and bent it. I discovered that the next day. It was completely fixable and I contacted them to offer the feedback that I thought the guys should have told me. They may not have noticed, but then I think they should have moved it away from the work area to begin with. They were apologetic and offered a discount. They were very responsive. | |On the very plus side, they were able to trim back a broken tree that hung out over a wetland pond that another service said they couldn't do until summer when the pond dried up. Matt's was able to scale the tree from the dry base, climb out over the water, and remove the eyesore. | |They also were careful about getting all the cut branches out of the yard over a 3 foot, old, rickety fence without damaging it, and and that was very careful work indeed. | |I learned the lesson of staying outside while work is being done, but I'd definitely use them again.

The team was fantastic! Alex came out and did a detailed estimate within a few hours of my first call inquiring about their services. They were able to schedule us in a few days later which was a huge help since rats were climbing the tree and getting into our attic. The crew of four guys came on time and were very professional. The best part was watching the climber work. He did a beautiful job climbing the tree and cutting off the branches and getting the branches down without damaging our house. There was a narrow space for the trunks to come down and he felled them perfectly. I was very impressed. I will definitely hire them again. I had gotten several quotes for this project and Matts Tree Service was the best combination of professionalism and price.

Neighbor's tree fell onto my lot during weekend storm. Called for estimate late Monday morning. Estimator arrived before noon same day. Work started by 1:00 PM and finished by 4:00 PM. same day as estimate. All limbs removed, chipped and hauled away. Main tree trunk cut into 18-24" sections for easy handling Very satisfied with the work. The crew did an excellent job removing fallen limbs and general clean-up. would definitely recommend this company.

Job performed was exactly as requested at the best price. Communication was good and they started the job when they said and finished it in a timely manner. I will use them again if needed and would recommend them as well.

The very pleasant crew showed up 30 minutes early, worked quickly, cut the trees exactly how Alex and I discussed and did an amazing clean up. My lawns and areas under the trees looked MUCH better after their work! HIGHLY recommended!

Matt's Tree service was great. They were on time for the estimate and were timely in emailing it to us right away. The price was fair and we called to set up the service with no problems. They were able to get the work done within the next week. The crew that came did everything they needed to do. They showed up on time, they were nice and worked hard. They cleaned up all the mess and left the yard looking better than when they started. Very impressed with them.

All good. Excellent quality tree work. Timely and as advertised. Helpful and easy to direct. Got an amazing amount of work done.

They did a fine job. The stump chipper is mounted on a machine with tractor treads. Our yard was very wet the day of the service, so the treads mangled our yard quite a bit. Had I known, I would have chosen to have the sump chipper come on a day after a dry spell.

Sent them an email. No response. Based on good reviews called them about two weeks after the email. Woman on the phone vey nice. Said Matt was behind in his bids. She'd let him know this was a second call. Never heard from Matt. Can't recommend company. I get being busy but at least have the courtesy to call and me know you're too busy and tell me to find someone else.

Excellent work - Adam was very knowledgable about trees/shrubbery and recommended the proper work and what to do with resulting wood chips.

Matt's Tree Service's pricing could have been better but it's fine because they did pretty good. The trees were terrible trees, poplar and cottonwood are not good firewood trees but they did a good job with what they did.

Job went smooth, they were there all day and cleaned up after themselves. We needed more sunlight in and their job has successfully done this.

They were very professional and checked with me to make sure that they were doing exactly as I wanted. The trees fell where they were intended to and the workers were excellent.

Needed about 50 feet of a rotten tree to be felled as we'll as some limbs of another tree, also about 50 feet up. Alex came to quote on the weekend, did the job on Tuesday, including cutting the logs for our fire place... even cleaned up to the point that it was hard to see which way they felled the tree. great job.

This was beyond easy!! They returned my phone call promptly, came to my home at the appointed time, and squeezed the removal of my tree into their schedule ASAP. Clean-up was spoltless. Their quote was the second one I received. (Since I had a tree removed from my backyard the previous year, I had a good idea about cost.) The first quote I received was 2.8 times higher than the quote from Matt's Tree Service!! I believe some of the cost difference was due to Alex talking with me about my needs. I had to keep cost down, and the tree had to come down before it fell on its on. One way to keep cost down is to simply have the tree cut as close to the ground as possible and not include root removal. I am very grateful for their awesome service. This is a stressful time in my life and to have something work so well at such a great price helped me out immeasurably. Thanks Matt's!!

They did a great job. I will definitely call them again for more tree trimming and clean-up in the future!

After cutting down 8 - 5" diameter cherry trees that not only needed to go for excavation but was also recommended for removal by my arborist for robbing the canopy, I saved the biggest for last. A roughly 40 ft maple that had been dying for some time. With a 13-14" dia trunk branching into 4 or so 6-8"dia offshoots I figured I could fell them one at a time. I took the first one down and then my view was opened up to the rest that were all twisted together. Realizing this was beyond my capabilities I called Matt on Sunday aroud 11AM. He said he could come look at it that afternoon and let me know if he was able. I asked what his lead time was for removal and he said that if it looked good then he could do it same day! (you almost never hear that...) He showed up around 2:30. Said he could do it, quoted me a price and down it went. Couldn't be more happy. Now my home addition can continue.

Called for a quote to have three tree stumps ground down to grade. The company sent Alex out the next day and he told us that he would remove the stumps, including the large roots, to below grade in order to accomodate a landscaping project we were working on. The price we were quoted was far better than expected for the size of the trees and considering the ground was full of large rocks that could possibly damage their equipment. He informed us that he would complete the project within two weeks and he was back within that time frame to do the work. The job went really quickly and they did cleanup of wood chips afterwards. Very friendly guys; would definitely hire them again!

Alex from Matt's Tree Servcie was responsive, on time and they did what they said they were going to do. I would use Matt's again for other tree removal or tree debris clean-up work.

quality is of tree removal is outstanding!!! Matt was by the far the best bid I got and also was the best quality. If you need trees removed I would highly recommend his service. I cant say enough about how professional he was and how much of a real value he provided. Matt was 30% lower than other bids cleaned everything up and looks amazing.

A few days before the tree service, my dead vine maple actually fell in the storm so Matt and crew has less work to do. The price of the entire tree service did not change. Matt and his crew were very knowledgeable and did a great job. They did what Matt said would be done with minimal reminder. They cleaned up quite well too. I thought the 2 climbers, Mike and Matt, were fantastic. Mike, who did the windsail work, not only cut the main branches, but he also walked along some of the main branches high up to cut the smaller branches. Matt, who trimmed the branches away from the house, was very skillful in what he did. He actually used his rope as a swing to swing and get from one tree to another. Two minor issues I experienced were: 1. After the tree service, my nice rake was missing and a broken rake, which does not belong to me, was in the backyard. I saw Matt's crew using a rake similar to mine during the tree service. 2. The crew arrived and stared later than planned. The problem was that two of the trees that needed work were performed as it was getting dark, so I had a very hard time pointing out which branches I wanted trimmed. These two last trees were next to each other so they had to be worked on serially. Some other info: 1. Matt's quote was reasonable. It was about the same compared to the other quotes. We chosed Matt because we felt he was most caring about the trees and was interested in doing the right things. We did not want someone who would simply hack off branches left and right. 2. Matt's quote automatically had a 10% discount without asking. I told him about Angie's list, but he said that it is already included in the 10% discount he had given. Thus, there is no special discount for Angie's list members. 3. Angie's list listed credit card as an acceptable form of payment, but Matt said that credit card is not accepted with the 10% discount. Overall, I am satisfied with the tree service.
