Robert is professional, has wonderful suggestions, does a thorough job, cleans up beautifully after himself and is more cost effective than you might imagine. The initial price for our yard looks high but included is the extensive pruning, cleanup, plant renovation, removal and replacement as well as time spent choosing plants and trees at his wholesalers. My husband and I couldn't be more happy with his services and we plan on continuing to use him for maintenance on our yard.

The project went well. Robert does excellent work, and he is professional, communicative, and easy to work with. No complaints at all.

Robert did some tree work for us and then I immediately enlisted his help in sprucing up our front yard. He proposed a fairly detailed plan based on the cost ceiling I quoted, and he made sure to incorporate the few ideas we contributed. Our main idea was to let Robert have the ideas. He did a great job of scaling the work to the budget and adapting as the work played out. There were no surprises, as he kept me informed/involved. And the look and health of our garden area were vastly improved. He did a beautiful job.

Robert Mills provided excellent service. He was patient in answering our questions, and helped us find solutions for some unique challenges we faced with planting trees on a narrow, sloping, and rocky strip of land. His style is very exacting, meticulous. As a certified arborist, Robert undoubtedly works on jobs more interesting than planting a bunch of ordinary "Emerald Greens." But he was very serious about the job, and determined to ensure that the soil and irrigation system were done perfectly, so the trees would look healthy and grow fast. For this job, we solicited three bids from contractors. Robert Mills did not provide the lowest bid. In fact, his was the highest. Yet, we chose him because it was clear from his estimate that we were getting better value for our money. The other contractors were just going to dig holes in the rotten soil, toss the trees in, and walk away. As with other things in life, you get what you pay for. Robert is definitely worth the money.

Robert did a great job of tending to our mature camellias and cloud-pruned junipers. We also planted a black pine a few years ago and want to continue its Asian style pruning. We'd had a person who did a great job previously but he's busy now with larger projects. It took us a while to find some one who was tuned in to this style of pruning. We're very happy with Robert's attention and we'll be glad to have him back in the spring for candling.

Robert was punctual, did an excellent job from start to finish. The price seemed a bit high but the end result was very good.

Robert came when expected, gave excellent advice, did the work as proposed, and was very easy to work with. He did all the work himself. I only gave the price a B because I don't really know how it rates against others. I'm sure he's not the cheapest, but he knows what he's doing. We certainly felt it was worth the price we paid. We have an extensive garden planted by the previous owner, and Robert's work helped ensure it would survive the winter.

Reasonably well, the pruning and trimming was quite good, but the cleanup was second rate. Several branches and parts were left behind.

My gardens in the front & back look like new. Need I say more? Honest & reliable.

We have a lot of trees on our lot and have replaced the lawn with shrubs and perennials, so there's a lot to do here all the time, and Robert has done a great job no matter what the task. Last winter, he brought in 10 yards of compost and did a lot of pruning. This spring, he did a lot of work on my fairly elaborate drip irrigation system and brought in some native plants to fill in under the trees. This summer, he kept everything going while we were gone for a month, and this fall he did a lot of thinning, transplanting, and some renovation of a few trouble areas. Today, he spread 6 yards of cedar chips on the pathways throughout the property and cut up the last of the fallen branches from the big storm for our wood pile. Robert has a lot of experience and knowledge about plants and trees and an excellent network of resources. More importantly, he's passionate about his work, committed to organic sustainable landscaping, and a really personable guy besides.
