very professional crew came to my house ,they worked all day painting, every day,cleaned up after them selves,took all trash with them,I would have KDS Painting work at my house anytime, I plan to have them back this fall to work over some rooms inside the house next, depending on their schedule.

The actual cost was 825.00 with coupon. Process took longer then planned, staffing issue and then weather. Had to contact them once to get an update, would rather they had contacted me. The quality of the work was excellent. If you don't mind keeping on top of the process you will have a great finished product.

That was superb! I was way under in terms of my square footage. I measured a couple of times. I think they would do up to 2000 or whatever their deal was. I was embarrassed but I went out and remeasured it when he was here and it was double the size; double what they were offering. I think they were up to 1000 and mine was 2000 or it was up to 2000 and mine was 4000. So there was an extra charge but totally understandable. They had a charge of so much more if you went over and they even reduced that. I paid $150 on top of the big deal amount. But I did more than double the minimum. They went up to a certain square footage and mine was more than double.

Some fits and starts with scheduling and late day of - but good job on the painting.

At the end of May I called Kevin Silverman of KDS Painting because of a coupon ($167.00 vs $300.00) listed on Angie's List. He agreed to do the job on June 18. I did not purchase the coupon through Angie's List as he agreed to honor that price regardless. His man came as scheduled but failed to bring a ladder long enough to reach the peaks of our 2-story house. Consequently, the upper story didn't get cleaned. I contacted Kevin and he immediately rescheduled for June 21st to take care of the upper story cleaning. He sent his partner Darrin who did a great job. Both Kevin and Darrin were very professional and easy to work with. I gave the overall rating a "B" beacuse the first cleaning attempt was not sucessfully completed but, because of their prompt effort to correct a problem and the quality of the end result, I would not hesitate using their services in the future.

We called KDS initially because they advertised on a progressive radio station we listened to and we wanted to work with like minded people. We received another bid that was almost exactly the same cost, but felt from our experience during the bidding process that KDS would do a better job. The company is made up of several brothers, each with their dedicated area of the job to do. Initially we dealt with Kevin, who is their salesman and point of contact for any revisions you want, and questions you have. He does an amazing job of thoroughly discussing the process, getting the detail of your wishes down in writing, going over everything you want to discuss, making you comfortable in the process. We were a bit overwhelmed, having never done such a big project before, and he put us right at ease. The next brother we had extensive contact with was the prepper, who pressure washed our house, and did the majority of the scraping. He was a very hard worker who did a great job of gently removing my peeling paint without destroying my douglas fir siding that is old and brittle. They also replaced a few boards I was missing, or that had issues. The final brother who joined him did the majority of the sealing, caulking and painting work. Because I had peeling paint, they applied a sealer to the existing paint to prevent any of the underlying paint from causing the new paint to fail. It seems to have worked like a charm. They use good quality paint and apply it generously, so the finished paint job looks rich, the color deep and wet looking. Our old house that was the eyesore of the block is now the showstopper. We get comments from passersby, and almost everyone in the neighborhood has told us how great the house looks, what a good job KDS did. Even the painter who lives down the block is impressed. The final invoice was as it was bid, no hidden "gotchas." I thought after seeing all the hard work that went into the job that the cost was more than reasonable. I will have them back out if and when I need them, and recommend them to anyone thinking of painting. These guys know what they are doing, and they are really nice fellas, too.

This service was provided in response to an Angie's List special offer. Coordination with the owner, Kevin, was only fair. Most of our communication was by email, which is certainly acceptable, but he would forget to communicate and explained that he had a large number of responses from the Angie's List offer. When the date finally arrived, his brother came to do the work. He was friendly and professional. The finished job was good, but some dirt stained areas remained stained, because only water spray was used - no soap, chemicals or brushing. The driveway looked cleaner after the power washing, but still had some stained areas. Our driveway is a combination of concrete and aggregate - the latter should probably be sealed. I was told that a follow-up proposal would be provided, but that never came.

Hard to set an appointment. Company is really a house painting outfit and is only power washing to prepare houses for painting. A very small job and hard to get in touch for work.

The workman came without a ladder. He said his storage area had been locked without his knowledge. Since we didn't have one to loan, he left and returned after several hours with his own ladder. I had to leave and didn't see the actual work done, but he called my cell phone to say he was finished and to check when I got home and contact him if there were any problems. He left his card. The greeen stuff on the north side of the home was gone. The flowers were intact and other than a couple of rivulets of dirt that probably worked their way out from under the siding after he left, it was a decent job. I'd use them again.

I had purchased coupon off of AL and made contact with owner, Kevin via email. He replied and scheduled work at my convenience. His employee came a bit unprepared and later than I expected, however, I was able to furnish the ladder(s) for his use. After completion we walked around house and all appeared to be well. Later, in a different light, I was able to see missed areas. I contacted Kevin, who was genuinely apologetic, and offered to have the work re-done. We rescheduled for another worker to come, and as far as can tell all the areas plus more are clean. I really appreciated Kevin's customer service and going out of his way to make sure I was happy. I realize this is a busy time for all painting companies and appreciate being treated as a full paying customer despite getting a great deal with the coupon!

I had originally purchased the Big Deal for pressure washing the vinyl siding on my house. Kevin was very candid and helpful about the services his company provides. We finally decided not to pressure wash the siding and instead have him do the driveway, walkways and back patio. After first talking to Kevin about pressure washing the siding (a service he doesn't usually offer), I did some additional research. I emailed several other Angie's List providers about pressure washing vinyl siding. I also did some online research on caring for vinyl siding. My husband and I had always hand washed the siding but decided this year to hire someone to do it. All of the manufacturer information discouraged pressure washing the siding and instead washing it by hand. I appreciated Kevin taking the time to work with me in my decision making process. He was very responsive and open to my questions. The pressure washing was delayed one day due to scheduling, but the service was done the next day on time and the work was done beyond our expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend KDS Painting to someone. Although I did not use his painting services, I'm sure he provides the same quality of service and product as he did with our pressure washing job. He is obviously an owner who takes pride in his company and his reputation.

Dave did a fantastic job pressure washing our driveway, walkway and small court surface. He was so thorough and we were so pleased with the results. These surfaces have not looked this good in years. Dave's work was truly outstanding and we would highly recommend him and KDS for their excellent efforts.

I had bought a big deal for KDS Painting.

Two people showed up, one was being trained. They were pleasant and did a good job. My deck looks like new.

This was a job well done. I will definitely hire again in the future.

Great service and quality job. Staffing problems required a last minute schedule change for the job, but KDS communicated all along and still ended up doing a great job on a timely basis.

Kevin Silverman is a personable guy and I truly believe he means well but I also believe he has too many jobs scheduled as he was unable to get our 4 hours of labor scheduled within a 6+ month period. I purchased the Big Deal on 10/31/2012 and as of today, May 19, 2013, the work has not been scheduled. Kevin & I exchanged numerous emails in 2012 in hopes that I could have the work (interior painting of trim and interior doors) performed prior to Christmas. It became apparent that KDS simply had more work than staff and they weren't going to be able to get the work done prior to Christmas. I told Kevin we would wait until after the holidays to reschedule & he said he would call after the new year. I didn't hear from Kevin after the new year so I contacted him twice in February but didn't get a response. We were busy settling into a new house so I waited to contact him until 4/1 and, after no response, again on 4/18. After numerous emails, Kevin agreed to come to our house on April 24th (on his way home from another job in Issaquah) to take a look at the work that needed to be done. He said he would call when he was on his way so that I could schedule my day but he showed up unannounced. (Not a huge deal but unprofessional.) After he looked at the areas that needed painting, we went to our garage to see if the paint we had was correct for the work to be done. It was agreed that I needed to purchase new paint. He said that he had a particular crew member to do our work but the guy wouldn't be available for a week. Kevin said he would call me in a week to schedule the work. It's been 3.5 weeks and again I haven't heard anything from Kevin. I emailed Kevin today telling him that we no longer wanted him to do the work and to please refund me the $99 I originally paid for the Big Deal. Kevin responded immediately and pointed me back to Angie's List for a refund. His response was very polite and apologetic offering to personally refund my money if there was any problem. Bottom line is that KDS needs to look into their scheduling to ensure they can do all of the work they promise to do. I don't feel the problems we've had were due to a malicious nature but unfortunately they just weren't able to perform the work due to time-management issues.

Kevin came out to review the house, listen to my expectations, cleared up some questions i had and gave me a better understanding of the process. Then after his walk around, spent time going over his findings, I needed to fix a roof truss end. We discussed recommendations, schedule and he advised he would have an estimate to me within 2 days (via email), it came the next day. Once the weather cleared and it was my turn in the schedule, Kevin called and asked if his team could come out the next morning to wash and caulk the house. He advised who would be coming by name, Darin was right on time, came to the door and introduced himself and his colleague and clarified what they would be doing today, approx how long it would take. There estimate on time it would take and they were right on time. The house needed to dry prior to painting, then it was my turn again and Kevin called to confirm the next day was good for me and who was coming. This time Dylan came to the door, introduced himself and his colleague. He reviewed what would be happening, and they got going. Dylan kept me posted at the end of the day, what still had to be done and what time they would be back, they were right on time the next day. The house looks WONDERFUL! The yard too looks great, they always cleaned up at the end of the day and made sure I was satisfied. KDS Painting team is very professional, friendly, on time and take GREAT pride in there work. I highly recommend them to anyone.

I wanted my sidewalks and patio pressure washed. But; my patio is made of pavers which have problems if pressure washed. They could have moved around when the sand between the pavers was hit with the pressurized water. Donovan pressure washed my teak patio furniture which was a great (and needed) alternative. He also did a good job on my cement front stairs.

We had moss and algae growing on our patio and front drive. The are constructed with coarse aggregate which is very had to clean. KDS listened to my needs and began work right away. They proved to be fast and efficient and did an excellent job of cleaning. They took time when the job was done to insure the home was clean of over spray and that we were satisfied with the work.

The overall project took a bit longer than it should have, but in fairness to KD Painting, it was due in part to illness on both my part and the owners part. Some communication regarding scheduling came last minute via email that could be an inconvenience for some people. The painter always showed up on time and did quality work. I had the company bid on both the work done and on some additional (wall paper removal) work that I was considering having done. I did not have the second phase of the work done as I felt the bid was high and wanted to make some comparisons with other companies which I have yet to do. If their bid proves to be competitive, I would hire them again.

Each day that work was performed the KDS person providing the service was either slightly early or on time. The work was carefully and professionally done. They suggested using good quality stain so future maintenance would be easier and needed less often. They took pride in their work and I would be glad to use them again for any of my painting needs. All calls were answered promptly. A good quality operation.

I bought a Big Deal on January 23, 2013. The next day I called and he said his pressure washer was in the shop until next week. He asked if I was in a hurry and I said no then he said he'd call me next week. Didn't hear from him. I called him again on February 8 but he has no voice mail so I emailed him. He responded by email the next day saying he'd just gotten his machine back and he needed to catch up before he could schedule me. He admitted to being overwhelmed by the response to the Big Deal. Three weeks later I emailed him again asking if he was still in business. HIs new excuse was that somehow my name did not appear on a list he got from Angie's List so he thought I had changed my mind. We finally got it scheduled for March 20, 2013, for 10:00am. Kevin called me that morning and rescheduled for "after lunch." Darren shoed up at 11:30am and just started working even though I told Kevin I would be there. Darren methodically pressure washed the old part of the driveway and the walkway along with a few rocks along the driveway. The results on the driveway were fine, not streaky. The rocks could have used a little more attention. Darren was cordial and he thanked me but left no paperwork or a business card.

These guys were great! Kevin responded to my emails promptly and professionally, and set up the appointment on the date I wanted. His brother (Darren? Sorry - I hadn't had any coffee before you called!) came out to do the work right on time, and did an excellent job. He pressure-washed the outside of our house, and it practically sparkles in the sun! I would recommend them without any reservations, and have, in fact, asked for quotes for two other jobs at my house.

We have used KDS for interior paint jobs twice, in our current house that we remodeled and in our past residence before we sold. Kevin is great to work with. He comes out and does the estimate. Their price is the best value for the quality and professionalism of the work. Not high end but very good and met our needs just fine. For our first job, we had our kitchen painted and a huge cedar wall primed and painted. It took longer than expected to cover over the cedar wall with primer and paint. Kevin was apologetic that he underbid the time so he made sure the job was completed to our satisfaction. We didn't mind that it took a little extra time since in the end it was done right and we didn't have to pay anything over the bid. For our second job, we had KDS prime 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms with oil based primer to cover the odor in an old house. We wanted to paint the rooms ourselves but couldn't tolerate the primer odor. They primed our house fast and again for a price that couldn't be beat. We will soon be moving out of this house and I plan to call Kevin for an estimate to paint the kitchen, three bathrooms and living room
