Michael did a very high-quality job and was very thoughtful in how he addressed the project, carefully laying out the material needs in a way that reduced costs, making useful suggestions along the way. It was wonderful to work with someone who was able to finish on-budget. He also went above and beyond to try to finish the project within a tighter time frame than originally estimated--even though some elements had been added to the project. I will definitely look to Custom Construction again for future work on the house.

Custom construction most recently worked on a repair project due to dry rot. The estimate was clear, he asked for feedback and kept us informed as the project moved forward. For example, when he noted the damage was more extensive than we thought, he sent me photos and we discussed how to proceed. He had do replace windows, repair framing in part of the dwelling and make the job look as it did before. Excellent job!

He always do so much above what he charges us.

First of all, Michael is very detail oriented and very meticulous in his jobs. He wants to do it right. He almost always finishes on time on the agreed time. He keeps me informed throughout, there are no surprises. On the last job he actually called me and asked if I could come up to the property he was working on (90 miles away) to see the dry rot damage. The damage was so bad he wanted me to see it so that I could acknowledge the damage and talk about how to proceed. There is a real sense of integrity and he's not going to do something without letting you know. He is honest and doesn't provide you with surprises.
