Ken, of McNel Septic Services arrived on time and took the time to answer all my questions, letting me know exactly what he was going to do. He did a thorough cleaning, checked the tank, and verified the tank didn't have any issues. He is now my go-to septic company - dependable, informative, and honest!

It went great Ken was on time, knowlegable and did a great job.

I had no problem connecting and scheduling with Shawn but the person whom I believe to be his father (he stated he was the owner) who arrived at my home on the day of service treated me horribly. He called upon arrival and stated he was at the bottom of my driveway and he did not want to drive up because of my brush along side of driveway. He continued to say he didnt care about my trees (maybe 1-2" diameter) and his truck was what he cared about. I proceeded to go outside and he approached me and just stood there. He went on to say he was the owner, he didnt have to do the job or need it and his quarter million dollar truck was more important. After some discussion and him telling me I needed to come down right then and trim my trees or he was leaving, which I said no to, he left. I then noticed that day he had drove his quarter million dollar septic truck into my plant bed at the bottom of my drive and put a huge tire mark nearly 12 ft long into my flowers. Ive never had a more horrible experience with a company.

Shawn at McNel went so far beyond my expectations that I wish I could give a rating of 100. I could not secure anybody to pump my septic due to the high demand in Burien. A friend noticed that there was a McNel truck at my neighbors and suggested I go ask them for help. Shawn was at my neighbors so I walked to the location and asked if he would be available to come to my home and pump my septic. He immediately said "yes I will come over and evaluate the situation after I finish". 30 minutes after he walked to my house and determined that he could do it now. My driveway is steep and he could of just said no, but he closely evaluated the pitch and determined he could safely back into my driveway. He made my day. The company was over 2 weeks out but since he was ahead of his schedule for the day he fit me in. He was an expert of his craft, efficient, great value and extremely friendly. I have found my go to septic service and it is McNel Septic. I am telling all of my neighbors.

Shawn with McNels Septic came out to our house about a week ago, to pump our septic tank. He was extremely punctual (called when he was on his way and was perfect on estimated time that was quoted to me when I called to set up the appointment). He was really friendly and professional. It was quick and easy, and I’d recommend this company to anyone looking for their septic pumped. We wanted to use a local company, and I’m happy we found them on Angie’s List!

They communicated clearly about scheduling, arrived on time, and were very professional. They explained potential issues, educated us on risers which we had considered installing, and gave us helpful information about prolonging the life of our system. We will gladly call them again, the next time we need a service.

Had a 1000 gal septic tank pumped. Ken from McNel showed up on time and did a thorough cleaning job. Very professional and friendly. Inspected the tank and gave some good recommendations. I was missing one of the lids and Ken even offered to bring me one at no charge. Cleaned up his equipment without making a mess in the yard. Price was reasonable and was exactly what I was quoted on the phone. Will definitely hire again.

I dug the holes myself, so I'm not sure how much Shawn would charge for that, but even if I couldn't dig them, I'd trust him to charge fairly. This was my second time using McNel, and like the first he arrived slightly before schedule and communicated clearly what was done. Friendly and professional.

Very professional and detailed what he was doing and including tips on self maintenance to ensure the health of the septic system until the next pumping.

The driver arrived in what appeared to be a nearly new and very clear truck, and he followed our instructions to stay on the road and not use our driveway. He greeted us with a friendly smile and introduced himself as the co-owner of the company. He gave us a quick history of his company, and thoroughly enjoyed the hummingbirds we had zipping around our yard. He as also in awe when two pileated woodpeckers landed nearby. When we opened the tank lids, the tanks were completely full. He noted that was more volume than anticipated and explained that the cost would be slightly higher than anticipated. He was extremely meticulous in pumping and cleaning our tanks, and the filter. Seeing that our filter was not easily accessible, he built us a handle out of PVC pipe that would allow us to easily remove and replace the filter, and did not charge us it. He also shared that we were doing a good job and that our tanks were in great shape. Overall, we could not have asked for a more polite and professional service. Even with the slightly higher cost, we were very pleased and feel it was a very fair price. We will not hesitate to call McNel again and will be referring them to anyone who needs septic services.

Great! Ken showed up on time. I asked him not to park on the driveway as I didn't want it to crack. He said "no problem" He appreciated me uncovering the lids to the tanks and got to pumping right away. He explained a lot of things about the system and told me how everything looked good and what to watch for in the future. He removed all the sludge even the last 6 inches or so that some companies try to leave telling you that it's good to have that left over for the "bacteria". He rinsed it really well. A good guy. I'll definitely be calling him in 3 more years.

Ken was right on time. He was very personable and informative through the whole process. He explained the items to watch for and showed me how my system was operating. He was careful to avoid leaving any damage or mess and did a high quality job. Definitely professional in his manner. I will gladly use McNel for future servicing.

Excellent. Professional. Trustworthy. Quick to schedule and good communications. Price was comparable to similar pumping providers, and good value with the additional advice. Included a few minutes of additional digging. As with all septic pumping services, plan to either dig or pay for digging access to tank if no existing surface level access. Answered all questions, showed and explained condition. Provided excellent reference (CLS) for replacement septic system services. Currently in process of designing, getting county approval, and installation of a replacement tank and system. Will hire again as part of the decommissioning and replacement process.

Ken was really nice and informative. We had some water flowing out of the ground and he inspected to make sure we did not have a pipe that ruptured. He realized that our filter was so dirty that it was not allowing water through. He cleaned the filter and showed me how to clean it on my own, to save money. I will be using McNel's from now on!
