+ 1 moreWe had windows replaced in our home and needed to have our security system reinstalled on the new windows. We also did a security upgrade at the same time. We got several bids and were impressed that when Polos Electronics came out we were talking to the owner and installer, we considered that a big plus. Andy and his assistant were great to work with. They were responsive, quick and cleaned up everything when done. They met with our window installers and coordinated their work with them. All went well, we were very pleased.

+ 0 moreAn enthusiastic 5 STARS to Polos Electronics! We are absolutely delighted with the job they performed for us, and grateful to have found them operating in our area. We obtained estimates for the job from three companies, all highly rated online. Of the three, Polos? estimate was the most affordable by a substantial margin. While we were not shopping strictly for a bargain, and in fact choosing the least expensive bid often seems dangerous, neither did we want to needlessly throw money at the project. There were other important criteria that influenced our final decision. Namely, when Andy and Brad came to our home to provide a free consultation, we soon came to appreciate Andy?s keen knack for perceiving the layout of the house, and quickly and clearly proposing how he would most elegantly and effectively achieve our wiring goals. He was much more adept and articulate with his proposals than either of the other two folks who came to estimate the same job. We were very impressed with, and appreciative of that! If you know exactly what you want, Polos will make it happen for you. If you?re not sure exactly what you want, the Polos folks have the expertise to help you figure it out, and to produce an outcome that will delight you. Andy and Brad work together very effectively and efficiently, producing results that are satisfying, while neat and tidy at the same time. Our thanks to Polos for a job well done!
Description of Work: Having recently moved into a newly constructed home, and finding it lacking accommodations for our home networking and entertainment needs, we undertook to find a company that could fill that gap, and not break the bank in doing so. We hit a home run with Polos! The original state of the house as delivered to us by the builder was such that the master bedroom closet (on the ground floor) is the location where the existing telephone and Comcast cables originated, and were left clumsily clustered inside the wall with nothing but a small plastic plate covering the access hole. This is presumably the location where the builder intended our cable modem / router to reside, and from which network, TV, and phone connections should be distributed to the rest of the house. However, the builder did not install any wired ethernet facility, apparently expecting that wireless coverage from within the master closet would be sufficient. While wireless networking is perfect for some applications, it does not satisfy our needs for streaming or otherwise transferring high definition media files, and having the wireless source sequestered in a closet that is not centrally located seems particularly suboptimal. So, the goals of our job comprised these main aspects: 1) Install some form of distribution panel in the master bedroom closet, providing a clean way in which to organize the cables, and make them easily accessible. 2) Run two CAT6 cables from the master closet to locations where TV’s and other A/V equipment reside, and additional CAT6 network, and CAT5 phone cable from the closet to the upstairs bonus room, where another TV and multi-function printer reside. 3) Install surround sound speakers in the family room where the main TV is located; for this, we preferred five flush mount speakers in the ceiling, with all 5 pairs of wire routed to an alcove adjacent to the fireplace where the receiver and other A/V equipment reside, and an additional speaker wire run from that alcove to the subwoofer in a similar alcove on the opposite side of the fireplace.

+ -1 morePerfect. Andy has a good understanding of electronic equipment and makes well thought out recommendations. Both Andy, and Emberly who runs the office are extremely easy to work with. I was nervous about working with another security contractor after my expensive disaster with Security Professionals, but Andy was very knowledgeable about the equipment. He tells you the facts about what the equipment can and cannot do, and leaves the decision making up to you. In addition, he installs the equipment the way you want it. No false statements. I really appreciated working with such a professional company this time around.

+ -1 moreAndy and Brad arrived promptly, were very professional and did a very high quality job installing 9 CAT6e internet connections, 5 cable connections and a 36 inch structured wiring box as a hub for the house. They were very neat and cleaned up prior to leaving. The job not only met but exceeded our expectations.
Description of Work: Polos installed cable and internet in an old 1970's house. We have now joined the 21st century! All wires were installed in the walls, minimal drywall cutting and excellent quality throughout.
