i was very impressed because before my house was to be painted i found a damp area under my hardyplank siding (due to drilling something in the siding). tracy immediately had his carpenter come to take a look before painting was to be done. randy the carpenter was fantastic! he did a very thorough job---extensive rot under the siding from rain hitting the siding from the roof....and he fixed the problem so it would not happen again. there was another area of my house where that was occurring, too, and randy took the siding off and even more rot was found there---also affecting the beautiful wood window. i could not get the company that originally made the wood windows respond and buy another window----so randy and daniel (another carpenter) came and took the window out and rebuilt the sills...and put the window back in and replaced all the rot areas and corrected the problem so that it would not happen again. they then checked all areas of my house to make sure everything else was ok before painting to be done. they always came on time when they said they were coming. they were very professional and courteous and did a fantastic job. would hire thses guys anytime!!!!

Team of 4 guys, they were punctual and put in 2 full days of work. Very dedicated, we were impressed with the work ethic. The lead was very professional and listened/addressed our concerns. Team did a good job masking, and cleaned up all their mess at the end of each day. My only complaint is in the detail of the trim painting. Brush-on around windows was a tad sloppy. They attempted to correct, and did an OK job. Overall, though, we (and the neighbors) were pleased with the good job.

Everything was fine and very professional. They were nice and detailed. They're just 500 dollars more but they did a good job. They were on time. When they said they'd be there, they were there.

Contracted with Tracy's Quality Paining after receiving/ reviewing 5 estimates. Found and read reviews of this company on Angie's List. Extremely pleased with this experience. Dale was our contact for estimates and questions, all handled in a timely manner. Dale and paint crew were all punctual, professional, and tidy during the 3 days of painting. Great care was taken to protect landscape and shrubs and other things around our home. Details such as crew asking about and then painting the rims of recessed lighting same as trim were done too. We had one miscommunication about the type of clear coat applied to our front door and was confident that this company cared about customer service and would recoat the door and they did. I was correct in trusting that Tracy's Quality Painting care that their customers' be satisfied with their work.

Tracy and his team are top-notch. Took the time to figure out where and why water problems had been damaging the house. Made extensive corrections and repairs. Worked efficiently, but paid attention to detail and kept us informed through all phases of work. Tracy personally visited site each day, and was always quickly reachable by phone. He was extremely responsive. Our house has never looked so good, and we have stayed dry even through heavy rains that would certainly have been a problem before Tracy's team did their good work. We highly recommend Tracy for quality, professionalism, and attention to detail.

All work handled very professionally and pleasantly. Many new problems discovered like rotten beams and posts and all were replaced at hourly rates which were quite reasonable. It is especially nice that they have carpenters and homes services as well as painters, which saves the frustration of having to find people to fix things before the painting can resume. Thorough prep work too. Their estimate was considerably lower than the other I obtained . When i changed my mind about the color of paint on the gutters they pleasantly redid them at a reasonable price. I am thoroughly happy and have already heartily recommended this company to a friend down the beach.A friend of my son's, who happens to be a housepainter in another area, visited and noted what a quality job they did.

Tracy and his crew worked on several projects in our house (interior and exterior). Very prompt, easy to work with, the crews were always professional and courteous. We will use them again on additional projects

Tracy's Quality Painting Inc were timely, did a good quality job, and cleaned up after themselves.

It was such a pleasure to deal with such a professional company. They were there on time, did great preparation for the job by covering plants or moving them and the garden art out of the way. When finished, they replaced what they had moved and picked up. All the men were friendly and knowledgeable and wasted no time. The carpenter fixed a repair to the front door and he did a great job. The house looks very nice and we are very pleased with the results. I am going to recommend Tracys painting to anyone looking for a professional and reliable company.

My experience with them was good. Everything went perfect. Tracy’s getting a pretty good reputation; they have been around for a long time.

The service was bad because the guy quoted me one price and once he started the job, he asked for nickels and dimes extra. The person's name was Thomas and he was not trustworthy as far as his estimate. I would just recommend anybody who calls him for an estimate that not to be fooled by the sweetness he pretends to have, which comes over when he does the job.

We are very happy with both projects.

His work was good-but when I said I wanted to put it on my credit card after the job was complete-I was told they would add 2% to estimate cost. Neither his bid nor Angie's list states that. It shows that Visa and Mastercard are accepted. If he wants to add 2% to cost when you use credit card-he should state that on estimate.

When Tracy came out to give me an estimate for the job I was immediately impressed with his knowledge of what should be done and what products to use or not to use. He was concerned about doing the job correctly with the right products and guided me. The other three companies that I had out for estimates were more concerned about what I "wanted" rather than telling me what product(s) were the best to use. Tracy's knowledge of paints, stains etc. is excellent. I researched after meeting with all the estimators and Tracy was right on! His estimate was reasonable and lower than all the others. The crew, led by Mike and Len were professional and really know their "stuff." Tracy was on top of the job and in touch with his crew, and communicated with me on a regular and timely basis. The crew communicated with me each step of the way, answered questions and were 100% competent. They work hard and are proud of the work they do. If a question arose, or a problem it was communicated to me immediately and clearly and resolved. Tracy's Quality Painting is one of those companies that are hard to find nowadays... competent, hardworking, communicative and most of all trustworthy. Tracy KNOWS his business.

The quality of their work was fantastic. Gary was in charge of the molding and Uri was in charge of the painting. They treated it like their own home. They were considerate of everything which included folding their drop cloths very carefully inside as to not spread dust and splash paint around the place. They were done within 3 days, which was a day or two sooner than they originally quoted. The only issue I had with them was that I almost canceled the whole job prior because Tracy, their owner, had some communication issues. It took him a long time to answer my questions before the project started. He claimed to have not been able to see the e-mail when I called 5 days later. This was a common theme with him for a long time leading up to the job. Because of all this, I was ready to terminate the whole job! Turned out that he's building a house of his own at the time and that seems to be his main priority. His concern appears to be for his new home and not his customers. Thankfully, his workers saved the day and did a great job!

In one word, awful. We're moving out of our house in Gig Harbor and needed some painting done on the interior to get the house ready for renters. Tracy came over and gave us an estimate for the job; 1 painter for 8 hours at $50/hr, so roughly $400. We hired Tracy and set up the time for the job. The day before, Tracy calls and says he's going to send two painters instead of one, with no change in the estimate. "Two painters, half the time, same price." is what he told my wife. The painters showed up the next morning and began to work. They worked for longer than four hours, but failed to complete the job in the allotted time. Then Tracy called us and told us we owed him an additional $240 dollars for the work that was done. We countered with the fact that they didn't finish the job they were hired to do. Tracy said they would come back the next day and finish for $50/hr. We said we wouldn't pay him another cent until he finished the job. Tracy then started screaming (no exaggeration) "Listen lady, you owe me $240 and you'd better pay up or I'm gonna put a lien on your house! You got that lady? Pay up!" or words to that effect. Once again we said we wouldn't pay him another cent until the job was done. He again started yelling saying something like "We'll finish the job for $50/hr tomorrow, but you better pay up for what we did today or I'm gonna put a lien on your house!" and then he starts lecturing my us about the difference between a bid and an estimate and that what he gave her was an estimate. If we wanted a bid, he would have quoted $1,200. I'm not a painter, but I don't get how you go from $400 to $1,200 between an estimate and a bid. It seems to me that Tracy's business model is to low-ball the estimate relative to other painters to get hired, and then changes the conditions (adding an extra painter) and then doesn't finish the job. This way the customer has to pay extra to have him return the next day and pay more money. What a joke; taking advantage of people to get a few extra dollars... pathetic. Tracy is rude, unprofessional and a scammer. Overall quality of work, that which was finished, was decent. But the overall experience was awful and I wouldn't recommend Tracy to anyone for any job; no one should have to deal with a bully like him. We've since hired another painter to finish Tracy's work (Sasquatch painters.... see our review on angie's list)

Went poorly. Literally just happened (within 10 minutes of typing this entry) We're planning some pretty significant work this summer. (Plumbing, Install Bathroom and bedroom, Install windows, New exterior trim paint job) Using Angies list as main way to get contractors and estimates. Of all the contractors on Angie's list I've dealt with, Tracy's was the only company that refused to give an estimate which broke things down (Stripping the paint costs: $. Labor will cost $. Materials will cost $). I told the estimator that this very day I've had 2 persons come out (one @ 9am the other @ 11am) and both did break down the estimates how I wanted them. He still refused saying something like "Sometimes we come out ahead, sometimes we come out behind"). I've got no time for someone who gives an estimate that leaves you in the dark. Best way to make a decision is when they break an estimate down to Labor, Materials, Markup. It's too bad because they had a good info packet, good uniform etc. I could not help but think "So this is just the first 3 minutes of the estimates phase...what will happen if I need to talk to them about the quality of work or I change my mind on the color?". No need to waste my only day off dealing with someone like that. I handed him back his info packet, said "Thanks for your time" and went back inside my house.

We had the exterior of our home painted. I was impressed by the quick response to the home inspection, with the bid coming in within a few days, and the honestly expressed by the Company Rep. The painting was done in a timely fashion and everything was cleaned up according to plan. The crew went the extra mile in making sure the landscaping was protected. They were also cooperative and worked diligently to cover the 'old' dark blue trim with a new coat of white. The cost was excellent and the service top notch. The crew was very professional. My only concern was the use of Rhodda paint. ... not sure if it the best choice. I would highly recommend this company!

They are prompt, clean up after themselves and very willing to work with me. I used his discount when I went to get the paint even for some painting I did myself on the interior of the house. They are reasonable, trustworthy, take care of business and clean up after themselves.

Curt came out to provide an estimate in mid July. I really liked his professionalism and obvious expertise. We accepted their bid and Curt was great notifying us when it was our turn for the different phases of pressure wash and painting. The pressure wash crew did a good job of getting the moss and dirt off. Our windows were dirty for a few days but they cleared up after that. Once the weather dried up in our wet Sept they came and completed the paint job in 3 days - I was amazed! Every day their gear was put neatly away and I never felt like the house looked bad during their work. We are busy professionals so couldn't make the scheduled QC time so had to communicate issues we found over email. It took 3 visits to get the little stuff squared away, but they never complained about my need for quality, and even redid some touchup work that got ruined by dew the next morning. The house looks fantastic. We are very happy and will definitely use them again.

Tracy's excellent team of skilled workers did a GREAT job: thorough prep work, careful attention to detail, fabulous cleanup. They were always on time, extremely conscientious and courteous, and made certain that we were completely satisfied at each stage of the process. Tracy's costs a bit more than most painters, but they are worth it! They exceeded our expectations.

Extimator came out right away. Daniel was patient with me when I needed to postpone the job for a while. Once the job as scheduled, the crew was punctual, polite and efficient. I have a 1925 house with lots of multiple-light, double hung windows. All were re-puttyed as necessary. The shakes had lots of peeling paint and were prepped nicely to accept the new paint. I wouldn't hesitate to hire this company again or to refer them to friends or family. I am very pleased with their work and customer service.

I had a few concerns halfway through, and I talked to the man that I had originally talked to about doing the job. He talked to his crew and got it worked out. I was very happy with the finished product.
