It went great. Two very able people (Tiffany & Keegan) showed up on the first day to review with the owner (Paul Haugen) what was to be done and how it was to be done. They tiled the first day and did an excellent job. On the second day Tiffany came back to complete the job / grout work. The finished works looks fabulous and was very professionally done.

Provided carpentry service for a 20X26 addition to a detached garage. Foundation and roofing was provided by someone else.

We cannot endorse Paul and his team enough. Always prompt, honest and incredibly easy to have working in our home. They worked in our home for 6 weeks, every day, and it was never stressful or intrusive. Paul handpicks his workers based on his own work ethic and solid integrity. We will be using them again to complete other major work to our home. They are the BEST!

We LOVE how our project turned out. Paul came within a day to take a look at our project. We had the bid a few days later and the work was started about 2 weeks after. From the very start Paul and his employees were careful and respectful of us and our home. They carefully covered our hardwood floors to protect them and caulked and taped every inch of our kitchen/family room in preparation of the painting. Then the painting began. Tiffany was meticulous in painting our fireplace mantle and the trim work. Derrick put in the new backsplash with Tiffany's help and it is beautiful work! He even had a wonderful solution to some curved walls around the sink. Jared did an awesome job painting the ceiling and walls. All our cabinet doors and drawers were removed and painted in the shop. Paul was even able to order a new cabinet door that matched perfectly. On top of the great crew he has working for him, he even saved us money. He found the knobs and pulls for the cabinets at a significant savings. Now how many contractors are going to do that?? The work was done on time, within budget and we could not be happier with the results. We will definitely use Paul on our next project!!

Paul really helped us out in a difficult situation. My husband and I were renovating our upstairs bathroom and when it came time to do the tile floor we quickly realized that it was just to complicated for us. Unfortunately we had already removed the toilet so it became an emergency situation.We got on Angie's list and contacted several different tile/construction companies and quickly learned that most had a 3 mo waiting list on jobs. Paul was very understanding and wanted to help us out. He said that because our floor was pretty small he could fit it in early next week. I was also very impressed with the price he quoted. He could have gouged us a little if he wanted because we were desperate to get it done but he was extremely reasonable. His tile guy Derek came out and did a fantastic job for us. Derek was also nice, clean and professional which I really appreciate. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Paul Haugen Construction and would use them again. Thank you again Paul.

We bought this house while still living in Georgia. I came out in January and hired Paul. He completed what we asked him to before we arrived in Feb., keeping me updated and in the loop the entire time. We never worried about it not being done correctly. Paul and his crew did quality work, were always there when they said they would be. We're glad we used Angie's List to find him. We have more work to be done, and are using him again.

Paul is excellent very nice and a good worker. Pauls workers on the other hand are a little Lazy. Most of the job when beautiful the only issues were on finishing work and punctuality of his crew. The windows they put in are good quality a but his crew cut corners on the outside to make the window fit. The bathroom and kitchen are beautiful and the cabinets he chose are beyond perfect. Please be advise we had to do our own clean up of construction debris as its not part of his contract. I think it was done that way to save us money but it ended up making my property unusable for almost a year and was exspensive to clean up. Overall it went well and I would hire Paul agian as long as he sends his good crew over and not the lazy guy we got. Thank you Paul for taking care if My MOMs renovation she lovers her brand new place.

Paul responded very quickly to our initial call and was able to meet us at the house the next day. As he walked through the house he it was clear he had an eye for detail and was very knowledgeable. With his council, we were able to make a decision not to buy the house. The prices he gave for the projects were very reasonable. Paul will be the first person we call when we need some remodel help in the future!

We started a remodel of the master bathroom a few years ago and replaced the countertop, sinks, and toilet. When we were ready for the next steps (re-doing the shower stall, replacing the tub, and tiling the floor and walls), I contacted the company on 11/09/2014, and Mr. Haugen came to the house on 11/13/2014. He seemed interested in the project and provided an estimate within a few days. I contacted him a few weeks later and asked to be placed on his work schedule. He responded with, "I did get your message and am trying to look at the earliest time." However, we never heard from him again.

Very well, overall. This was our first major remodel and so we didn't know what exactly to expect. Paul was very friendly and also proved to be trustworthy throughout the process. His crew was professional and did very good work. They took their time to ensure quality. We are very pleased with our new kitchen and bathroom. The only minor thing I would say is that our back gate was left open and our dog out several times. It's a minor thing (because she was returned to us by neighbors) but could've been major. Overall though, we are happy with the work they did and would hire them again. Paul told us he truly enjoyed construction and remodeling and it showed throughout the process. We wanted someone who would care as much about quality as we did and he and his team certainly were what we needed!

I absolutely love my new master bedroom and bathroom. I was unsure how to use the space because it was a bit awkward. Pauls crew was very creative and really did a good layout. My closets are huge and I love my new bathroom. I was constantly working and we managed to get it all done to my wishes without me having to step away to much from work. Huge help. Plus the crew was very kind to my family while I was away. We worked together from June until this last week and each person that paul had working on the project was wonderful.

In a word - superb. From the initial contact with Paul everything went extremely well. Recommendations were made to stay on budget and still get the kitchen I wanted and it turned out amazing. Even better than I imagined. You would be lucky to have the opportunity to work with Paul and Jared. It's always a bit nerve wracking hiring a contractor for a major remodel and have heard all the horror stories but this team gets the highest rating from me. I was informed every day about what time they would show up, the schedule, the costs, every detail about how I wanted things to look and function. Jared is the foreman and highly skilled in every aspect. The entire project from demo to completion took just three weeks because only drywall is subbed out. That keeps everything on schedule and moving along. Look forward to working with these guys on future projects!

Paul's crew were very professional, efficient, and friendly. They were very responsive in answering all my questions and my requests during the remodeling effort. I really appreciated how well they were able to minimize any dust and other construction debris and keeping it out of the rest of the house. I was very pleased with the final results! Electrical, plumbing, tiling painting, were very well coordinated. which is not always easy when dealing with contractors and sub contractors. The work team was prompt, artful, thorough, and professional. We are very pleased with the result.. We discovered this firm at a home show at the Tacoma Dome and knew from the beginning it was the right one. A definite recommend.

In the kitchen the job entailed removing the linoleum floor and subfloor, countertops, old appliances, sink, ceiling lights, and relocating/removing cabinets. They installed porcelain tile flooring, granite countertops with new sink and fixtures, porcelain and travertine backsplash tile, new range and hood, new refrigerator, new built-in microwave, under cabinet LED lights and LED ceiling lights and painted. The master bath required removing the old vanity top with sink, both linoleum and carpeted flooring, old lights, toilet and tearing out old shower stall with doors. They installed porcelain floor tile, granite countertop with backsplash, new sink with fixture, lighting, enlarged and installed complete new shower stall with tile walls, floor, two tile wall niches, new shower fixtures and shower doors. All new towel bars and rings were installed. The new toilet has yet to be installed because both the first one we ordered and it's replacement were delivered broken so we are working on getting a third. The guest bath remodel consisted of the removal of the flooring, old countertop and sink, lighting fixture, and tub surround. The floor received porcelain tile, a new granite counter top and backsplash with sink and fixture were installed, new vanity lighting, tile tub surround with niche, new tub/shower fixtures and new LED ceiling light over the tub. Everything was handled by Paul's crew which I believe helped speed up the job when not having to coordinate with subs for electrical, plumbing, etc. Other than delaying the start one day, which Paul called ahead of time to ask for so they could finish another job they were on, the crew was on site every morning. We lived in our RV alongside the house so they were able to be working on all three rooms concurrently which I think helped move things along. Several of the crew were cross-trained so they could be setting tile in more than one room at a time which was the one big time consumer. Jerod (foreman), John, Derrick, Aaron, Garrick and Scott were all a pleasure to work with. These men were certainly good salesmen for the company. Always very courteous and trying to please. There were a couple of minor hiccups that were dealt with immediately but nothing big and the overall job went very well. As a testament to the job they did my wife LOVES her new kitchen and has spent a lot of time in it, some of it baking peanut butter cookies in her new oven for Jerod and his crew as the remodel wore down. Paul allowed us to deal directly, at his contractor's pricing, with several of his suppliers in addition to ordering items online ourselves to save on expenses. I think this ended up saving on the total project cost which was certainly a benefit. We highly recommend Paul, Jerod and crew to anyone with a kitchen/bath remodel job to be done.

A handyman did a small remodel for us and I felt we were being cheated. Paul went out to the site and verified what had been done. He told us the price we were being charged was reasonable for the amount of work performed. And Paul did not bill us for this service.

It went better than we expected. Jared and his crew showed up promptly each day. They worked seamlessly as a team. They were able to start on the day we needed and worked until the job was done, about two weeks total. The floor was difficult to lay (it's porcelain tile that looks like wood) but they did an amazing job getting all the pieces level. They cemented and screwed backer board down first to ensure the floor will maintain its stability. They also came up with clever solutions to some challenges installing the cabinets, such as paneling the side of the pantry instead of leaving it as drywall. They even put paneling behind the fridge so there wasn't a peekaboo of drywall there either. They also pulled off a minor miracle in getting quartz countertops installed in less than a week. They were very similar to the design we had picked out and saved us at least 3 weeks of eating off of plywood and doing dishes in the laundry room. I also love that although they offer design service and can get high quality products, they were more than happy to let us design and purchase our own cabinets. This is the 3rd project we've used them for and couldn't be happier.

He cancelled once and rescheduled. He never showed up for the following appt, never called.

Paul and his guys were awesome. They were very patient with us, even when we had constant questions. They were very professional, and did an excellent job. The cost was greater than we expected, but that was due to our request for heated floors and some other things that were uncovered as they worked. We are beyond pleased with the result. We will happily hire them again for future updates to our home.

He spent almost an hour talking with me about the project and discussing ideas. He promised to have a bid to me the following day. I never heard from him again.

Excellent! Paul's quote was the last of 3 we got for the job. He was completely willing to work with us on the design and material - either buy it ourselves or work with his suppliers. We had to get the shower installed for a handicapped family member coming for the holidays and Paul was able to get it done. The quality is excellent. We have just gotten quotes to remodel our kitchen and add a covered porch to the back of the house. We are looking forward to working with him again.

He was courteous and professional. We ended up using another contractor due to the fact that Paul had a little trouble getting an estimate to us, but I believe that this may have had to do with a high volume of work which backed him up slightly and temporarily. We wouldn't hesitate to contact him in the future.
