My clients needed a whole house (interior) remodel, their budget was small and the time frame tight. Paul and his crew did an amazing job for them in a very short period of time. The overall quality of the work was very good, the crew was polite, and my clients are very happy with how amazing their home looks! Will use Paul again for other projects and recommended he to people looking for quality work at a reasonable price!

Did not use. Asked him to submit a bid for 2 bathrooms, but to separate the bids in case we could only afford to do one bathroom. He never responded with a revised bid.

Thorough - on time - under budget! Paul and his team were professional, focused on detail and offered helpful suggestions to make our deck project better than I anticipated. I was very pleased with Paul Haugen Construction – they were so helpful as the demolition of the old deck and rebuilding of our new deck unfolded. Each of the workers, Derek, Jared and Tiffany, provided high quality artistic work. They worked within our schedules, answered questions and treated our home with respect. They were a joy to have in our home We liked being able to select our preferred materials, based upon Paul's recommendations; we were able to purchase & order fixtures that were to our style & taste. Everything went reasonably fast; workers were here 8 hours/days; total project took 11 work days/15 calendar days to complete. Timing was crucial to us, as showering required trekking to the Y for showers during the remodel. This motivated everyone to work quickly and effectively Communication was great; any glitches that came up during the process were corrected immediately and to our satisfaction. The results are beautiful and very much appreciated!! They were a pleasure to do business with & we will hire them again for the next project.

Fabulous...everything went exceptionally well; loved the incredibly talented & dedicated workers; everyone was very respectful of our personal schedules. We were able to pick out all of our materials, based upon sources that Paul recommended to us; we liked being able to be a part of this process. Paul and his team were all very courteous and responsive. My husband and I are happy with the finished product. I appreciated Paul's suggestions on affordable resources to order some of our kitchen items. His bid was fair and he honored it. Even when there were a few fixes or adjustments needed along the way, it was clear Paul's goal was to make us happy. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Another review used one word to describe Paul's work... "Amazing!" We feel the exact same way! Paul and his crew did an outstanding job and we couldn't be happier with the work they did. From the very beginning Paul was professional and provided a detailed estimate that they stuck to throughout the job. Not only was the work top quality, each of the crew were easy to talk to and took the time to explain the process, answer questions, and talk about options. Let me highlight the quality of work again - it deserves it. Our bathroom looks wonderful and you can see the attention to detail that was done with the work. There isn't one flaw. Here's where Paul's service goes way above and beyond. We originally used another contractor who completely botched the job (think nightmare story of doing everything wrong). Not only did Paul have his work cut out for him to fix everything, there were several unforeseen issues that came up from problems the previous contractor created (plumbing, framing, you name it). Paul fixed them ALL!... even when he didn't have to (he didn't create the issues). Talk about service! It's clear that Paul is committed to providing a high quality end product, and at a reasonable price. Not only do I highly recommend Paul - we're already planning to use him again for the other work we need completed.

Paul was very responsive after I contacted him through Angie's List and came by the same day to look at my kitchen. He listened to what I had to say and made several good suggestions. By the end of the day he had drawings in my hands of what the new kitchen could look like. Within a day or two he had a bid to me - the only down side was that he was so fast I didn't even have my other contractors scheduled to come see my project yet. I got a second bid and was impressed but Paul was better on price and his references were glowing so I went ahead and hired him. It took 4 weeks from start to finish and they started by ripping out the old kitchen (down to the studs in some walls) and wrapping up with all of the finishing touches. I didn't do anything other than choose my materials and pick up things I wanted to buy myself like the sink and flooring. I think I met all of the employees of the company over the 4 weeks of work and they were all friendly and very professional. I highly recommend this company for home improvement projects!

Paul and his team were great. We had to wait for over 1.5 months before they were able to get started on the project but once they got started everything was done in 10 days. We were budget conscious and Paul was great at suggesting ideas that would keep our overall costs down.

I just have to say, that Paul Hougen construction is simply the best. He was one of three bids, and he was the only one on time, the most professional, and had great compassion. He went above and beyond what was expected. I would highly recommend him to anyone. As for our family goes, we will use his services for years to come.

Everything went perfectly. After several months of use, we still love how good everything looks and works, and we will keep on loving it until we move out someday far in the future. Paul's workers are wonderful people, experienced, with many skills. They like working with Paul and they stay with him, so he has a great team. All of the intricate work of installing tiling, new tub enclosures, building a new and insulated wall between the bathrooms, and finally painting the bathrooms, was done with great skill and artistry. Next, all of our old pressboard siding was replaced with solid, heavy siding, and every piece was perfectly cut. We can't find any spots that don't fit or join together perfectly. For the final exterior painting, they used 18 gallons of paint - a very thick coat for a 1500 sq. ft. house. The deck went together perfectly. I'd wanted wood, because I didn't like the looks of composite boards, but Paul showed me samples of new products that look great, and now we have a deck that I'll never have to stain or paint. One tip: as with all builders, outline a thorough idea of what you'd like in design and materials before you meet with Paul for an estimate. He can't make those decisions for you, and you need to know what kind of countertop material you want, for instance, plus a pretty clear idea of everything you want done. Paul can take it from there, and give suggestions and bring samples, but he can't be your interior decorator. If you're having lots of work done, you might want to hire a decorator first to make color and layout suggestions. I recommend Paul Haugen Construction to everyone on earth! The work gets done beautifully, and he and his friendly workers are a pleasure to have around the house. Now I'll only call Paul for construction work.

It required two applications of a quality sealer prior followed by a very intense grout job. Due to my travel schedule, I found Paul through a local flooring store. He was extremely responsive and dedicated a crew of two professionals who took the time and care to complete the laborious grouting work. They followed with another sealer. Paul's passion for his quality work was evident and his crew reflected the same passion in their work. We look forward to the opportunity to work with Paul again an highly recommend his services.

If you can apply every word in the dictionary that is a synonym for 'great'...you will know the description of the work done by Paul Haugen Construction. I had a very dated 1980's bath and kitchen. From first day of gutting to completion took 3 weeks and only $200 over budget due to my choice of higher end fixtures. I told Paul that I had a strict budget and he was actually husband-like! No, you can't have that or do that; it isn't in your budget! :) Because of his careful attention to my budget we came in where I needed to be. What did have a giant tub in the bath is now a stunning walk in shower! The kitchen took only 2 weeks to complete with new cabinets, counter tops and appliances. Again, the same budget constraints applied for this project and thankfully Paul made certain we didn't go over. the crew was nothing short of professional and courteous! They were very careful of floors and carpets by putting down canvas drop cloths. They would have cleaned up every day but I let them leave it most days just to save them some time. They were very easy to work with helping with design choices and problem solving. Paul checked in every day to make sure all was going well and went out of his way to find good prices for fixtures and tile. I have a couple of projects still on my wish list and just waiting until I have funds to do them at which time I will call Paul Haugen Construction to do the job!!!

Paul and his crew provided quality workmanship. They were all professional and easy to work with. Paul knew we were on a budget and kept to his material and cost quotes very well. We were impressed by the company's integrity and constant attention to our project.

Great. The kitchen looks better than we had hoped for. Paul is kind and communicative. The price was affordable and the quality is good. The crew were able to complete the kitchen, on time, while we were out of town. We will definitely use Paul Haugen Construction for future projects.

We hired Paul for our kitchen remodel. It involved removal of a wall, changing the entryway, closing off a window and a door, adding in french doors, and completely changing the layout, among other things. Complete overhaul! He was responsive and kind and genuinely excited to take on our project. Paul estimated about 4 weeks for our total gut job. It ended up taking 5 weeks so he wasn’t super off on his timeline. He also gave us a bid that he stuck pretty close to. His crew was great to work with and they speak very highly of Paul. Every crew member was kind and respectful of our family and our home. We really felt that everyone involved with our kitchen saw us as a family to invest their time in and not just another job to get done. Of course, as with any renovation project, there were bumps and hiccups along the way, some bigger than others. We felt that they handled these issues really well and proved time and again to put our satisfaction first. That was important to us. We would work with Paul again and have recommended him to friends. We love our new kitchen and feel we went the right way hiring Paul. Overall, a positive experience.

Paul Haugen Construction has done two bathroom remodels for me this year; one in January and one in June-July. For the first one, I got three estimates and decided to hire Paul Haugen Construction because Paul really listened to me about what I wanted and came up with excellent suggestions and solutions. I had never had any remodeling done before and did not know what to expect, but I was quickly put at ease. He and his crew are very professional and communicate very well throughout the entire process. They started when they said they would and completed the projects in a timely manner. I was so happy with the result on the hall bathroom in January that I decided to have them remodel the master bath this summer. I will hire them again when I need any work done, and I give them my highest recommendation.

this company and the people on the crew are simply the best. Paul has been very communicative and fair in pricing with multiple projects occurring concurrently. His crew is amazing. All of them are extremely professional, punctual, and very good at what they do. They take great care to keep your home as clean as possible and clean up nightly before leaving for the day. Attention to detail was taken through out the current project, and any small marks or scuffs were addressed immediately. Paul also is very helpful in design choices and finding materials within your budget. His crew also were helpful with design suggestions making several modifications in the bathrooms to enhance tile work and overall presentation. Since we were ne w to the area, I asked Paul for some recommendations. So far, all the recommendations have been spot on. Frameless shower doors were done with Viking glass and Northwest doors installing garage doors. I couldn't be happier that we chose Paul and his team to help us with our home, I'll continue to use them for future projects of new fencing, laundry room makeover, and kitchen remodel. I highly recommend this company and crew.

Berated and argued with the customer without even discussing on detail whatsoever. Said he doesn't do competitive rates and doesn't have time for the customer. The lack of professionalism with the introduction email and continued disrespect on each successive email really lacks respect in general. If a customer desires initial communication by email them respect that not demand it or else as your approach!

I had scheduled with Paul to come out to give me an estimate on repairs to my bathroom from some extensive water & mold damage. When I called to schedule the appointment I was happy to find out that he would come out on a Saturday. I told him that I would be home after 11. My kid has swim lessons Saturday mornings. Paul said "let's make it 11 then." I said ok. I rushed home after swim lessons so I could make it by 11 and pulled in to my driveway at 10:57. I found Paul's card in my door, he had already come and left. I live several houses down on a dead end street. I did not pass anyone on my way to my home so I know that he must have left at least a few minutes before I got there. I immediately called Paul's # when I got home and it rang directly to voicemail, which was full. I called right back and he still did not answer. I tried texting him. I also tried to pull up his website to find an e-mail address but the site would not pull up. I can appreciate someone that shows up early for an appointment but could you at least stick around until the scheduled time! Or try calling me. I was not late. I am sure you have a busy schedule but as a working mom so do I and you wasted valuable time that I could have used to actually get an estimate for work I need done. Sorry to say Paul you missed and opportunity.

Both bathrooms were in need of serious updating. We set a consultation with Paul. Paul was very flexible in scheduling time to meet. We listed out our needs and Paul collaborated with suggestions on what would work and what would not. He put together a reasonable quote that included pricing and labor. We also requested heated floors which he added. The basic materials were covered under his costs. We needed to purchase the specific materials such as vanities, mirrors, toilets, sinks, faucets, tiles, paint, light fixtures, etc. Paul was very responsive whenever questions were asked. He suggested sites and vendors for contractor pricing for vanities, counter tops, tiles, and shower. Once work began, Paul's crew was prompt and professional. List of work done: - Gut and debris removal. - Pulled out dry wall and moved plumbing. - Relocated both toilets. - Added heated floors and thermostat. - Did appropriate electric wiring. - Installed tiles. - Replaced tub. - New fan vent in guest bathroom. - Added fan vent to master suite. - New vanities, counter tops, and faucets. - Installed misc. materials (racks, vanity handles, etc.) They were very friendly, courteous, and answered questions. They also responded with any requests we had. They cleaned up everyday and let us know what the next day work would be. We were happy with everything installed. The only thing that was not quite as great as everything else was the tile installations. The tile was a bit unleveled on floor and walls. Otherwise, we are enjoying our new bathrooms.
