HEMLEY'S SEPTIC TANK CLEANING

Who knows what was actually done and what was not done. Switched companies due to the fact that we were unable to reach anybody in case of emergency. Turns out what Hemley's had been telling us all along was misinformation.

While the service person who came out finally was pleasant, the office staff and scheduling was main problem.

They were fabulous. They were absolutely and unbelievably topnotch. It did the trick. It was a huge project. They're an A+. It's a home that I built. It would have sold without me going to Angie's List and getting the number one people. I stood there and watched them do it. They worked for at least a day or two or three. They were extremely professional. I would recommend them.

Very unprofessional. They wrote down my credit card information wrong. Then the owner, Christy, called my business office and told them that they "need to speak with us because we owe them a lot of money." Unbelievable. I would definitely NOT recommend this septic service company. Find someone who actually gives a s*** about their customers. Sorry couldn't resist the pun.

I had e-mailed this company on 1/5 b/c my pump kept cycling off and on. The following morning (1/6) our alarm sounded for the pump. I was unable to get ahold of them through their emergency line (just got a recording); since no one picked up at their office (although it was 9:30 a.m.) I left a message on their voicemail. 45 minutes after I left a message, a lady called me back. Their technician was out within 2 hours and fixed the down pipe, which had broken. The technician was very courteous, seemed knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. The problem came when the septic alarm sounded again, this time at 1:30 a.m. (1/7, the very next day after they were here). At 7:30 a.m. (their posted time for opening) I called, only to receive their voice mailbox. I tried again several times over the next two hours, each time getting voice mail. So I finally called to a different provider, who was out to diagnose and repair the problem (a broken float) within a few hours. I dislike giving a negative review, and I especially dislike doing so when I know this is a small family-owned business. Such businesses often have to run on slim margins. However, it is a major problem when a website advertises an emergency number and then there was no one manning the emergency line (2 days in a row). Moreover, no one was apparently even in the office to take my phone calls over the first two hours (yesterday) or three hours (today) they were supposedly open. And although this company finally did call me back, it was at 10:30 a.m., three hours after my first attempt to call them. By then it was too late. As it was I had to pay a new trip fee to the new company ($145) to diagnose and repair something that could possibly have been caught the first time. This is a perfect example of poor office practices on the follow-up ruining what had been decent customer service despite a few difficulties in reaching this company the first time. I would strongly suggest to this company that they hire a temp to cover their phones or get an answering service.

Called for a septic cleaning, was scheduled within the upcoming week. Scheduler indicated we'd be the first job of the morning, so to expect the driver at 9 or thereabouts. At about 1030 on the appointed day, still hadn't seen the driver. It was the day before Thanksgiving and we had a few other things scheduled to do before the holiday, so I called in, and the dispatcher apologized, told me th driver was finishing up an emergency call in Bremerton and would be on his way in about 30 minutes or less, with a 45 minute transit. Driver actually arrived just over 45 minutes later. Located septic, cleaned and pumped the tank. Ryan was very professional, knowledgeable, and patient with all my questions about our septic system. I like that the invoice has good notes/records for future service calls. We definitely would use them again, and will probably switch to this company for our annual O & M contract.

Arrived on time, was fast and efficient. Worker was not unpleasant - did his job and was on his way. Took notes for records so can find septic access in future should occupant not be able to find.

hemsley personnel were very professional and informative in all that they did. I called in response to a mailing from the state regarding discounts offered for septic tank inspections/pumping. I was able to get an appointment within 1 week of when I called. The first man who came out helped find the septic via dropping a magnet down the toilet at no charge to me.showed me where it should be and did not discourage me from digging it my self (to save a few hundred bucks) Its the last time I do that I tell you it was a lot more work then I thought. I decided not to use the discounts the state was giving as I did not want them in my business any more then they already are. The next man who came out pumped the tank. This was more difficult then usual as the septic had not been emptied in 30 years. I opted to get a new pump as it was a matter of time before the 30 year old one would give out. I also got risers installed so I would not have to dig or pay someone else to dig later on (which will be every 5 years not 30). It all cost about 3000$. They were very good about explaining all that they were doing. What an education. I did not feel pressured to buy. They provided information pros/cons and allowed me to make the choice. I would highly recommend this company. )

The technician was professional and very pleasant. A good experience in recovering from a less than desirable situation.

Toilet was draining slowly. We did a load of laundry and water started backing up into the bathtub. Called Hemley's, they had someone out within an hour. They identified the problem as a tree root blocking part of the pipe (it's a very old house). They pumped the system and gave us repair options. I'm very impressed with their responsiveness and will definitely use them again.

I contacted Hemley's on a Wednesday to inquire about having a septic tank pumped for an estate property. Hemley's staff were very knowledgeable, friendly, and able to schedule an appointment that worked around my schedule. They offered next day service, but I chose their first Saturday appointment that same week, as I had to drive in from out of town. On the day of, I received a call 30 minutes prior to the technician's arrival, just as promised. Scott showed up on time, was great to work with, and got the job done quickly and professionally. Hemley's charges a 2% fee when you use a credit card, which I wasn't made aware of until I paid. I had my checkbook with me so it wasn't an issue, but it would've been helpful to know up front. That aside, the entire process was seamless from start to finish, and I would highly recommend Hemley's to anyone.

It was fine. They showed up on time.

A part of the septic pump came off resulting in a septic pump alarm. Found the problem within a few minutes, fixed it and covered it up in less than half an hour. They responded and fixed it the same day we called.

I was given a window of from 8am to 1 pm. At 8 am I got a call that the truck would be here in 1/2 hour and so he was. He went to work immediately and was done in just over an hour. It took longer because the tank had not been pumped in about 15 years. I was very pleased with the work and very pleased with the person who did it. I also thought the price was very reasonable. Not only were they recommended by Angie's list but also by a friend of mine who just had a house built. I would definitely recommend this company and I will definitely use them again.

everything went good. no complaints.

I called early in the AM he said he would be out early afternoon but previous job took much longer ran into problems. He was not able to get here until 5:30 PM. I was just glad to have him come the same day I called and resolve the alarm issure and pump the tanks so I could use my system. He was informative and professional I appreciated him being willing to work a very long day. I will use him again.

Arrived on time and went right to work. Cleaned up behind work and left me happy with the results.

Started out as a simple tank pumping but ended up finding several problems such as the distribution box was totally gone. Did a good job replacing and fixing everything in a timely manner as we were in a time crunch due to house selling.

They did a good job. Final cleanup was okay but could have been better.

I like the quality, timeliness, information and value of their service.

Hemley's Septic Tank Cleaning did a very good job. I have used them before. The guys seemed to know what they were doing. They explained things if I asked them. I was having a pump problem and they recommended a guy to fix it. They weren't really fast. They got three or four days after I called.

Their prices are reasonable. They came out quickly; they were very professional and did a good job. They made the septic system run better, and solved the problem. I would be happy to use them again.

Hemleys came at the beginning of the time span they gave me for arrival and did a nice clean job. The technician was nice, friendly and professional and the whole evolution took less than 45 minutes. I'm a repeat customer and will continue to use Hemleys. The price was competitive if not the best I could find.

Hemley's pumper truck arrived within an hour of our call and finished the job without any mess or destruction of the landscape even tho the driveway is 30+ feet from the tank. The truck doing the riser addition was here within a hour after the pumper left, and within 30 minutes had the riser installed.
