I am happy to do this review because the gentleman who runs Blue Tile and Marble, Hadrian, has done a really nice job for me. The project itself felt overwhelming, I found that the shower floor was cracked and water was leaking, wood rotting etc while painting my house this summer. The whole process of meeting up with the contractors and getting a quote then finding the tiles and potential additional problems all made it seem like too much to deal with. Hadrian was professional, calming and confident from the start. If it hadn't been for his assurances I think my shower pan would still be cracked. The job itself is still in progress but Hadrian has been very respectful of my home, deals with my dogs every day without a problem and communicates and keeps me in the loop on his progress. I quoted this same job with other contractors on Agie's site and I think Blue Tile and Marble was the most reasonable and Hadrian the most accommodating. I would not hesitate to use Blue Tile again and highly refer them.

He did a good job. He does really good work.
Description of Work: He did a remodel of the our master bath, including a complete remodel of the shower and the flooring. There were some extra fees because there was water damage involved.

The previous tile installer walked off the job prior to completing the work on our bathroom remodel. Hadiran Pop was wonderful. The week of Christmas he ripped out the work done incorrectly and did a lovely job of finishing our bathroom tile work. He was prompt and professional. We will defintely use him for our next tile job. Highly recommend BlueTile and Marble.

Hadrian is a true professional. He was careful about my house, both in protecting existing areas and also in keeping them clean during what is always a very dusty and messy job. He was easy to reach during the project and I always knew which days he would be working. When he worked he stayed on the job, and although it was a large project that required solving many difficult problems he still finished before the contracted completion date. The work he did is beautiful. When there was a decision to be made he always presented me with alternatives and never tried to impose his own artistic vision unless I asked for it. Once I made a decision he always honored it and found a way to get the task done as I requested. There are many different technical solutions to tile installation problems such as electric floor heat, heavy ceiling tiles, bad walls and ceiling. Hadrian has a complete knowledge of modern construction technology and managed to solve each problem that was presented. Hadrian was cheerful and easy to work with. I was never uncomfortable when he was around. He was completely trustworthy, which is the most important characteristic of all. His contract was clearly worded, with clear pricing. He met every point in the contract. Every single thing he said turned out to be true. I would recommend Hadrian to anyone who is planning a tile installation, no matter how difficult and complex.
Description of Work: Installed tiles as part of a complete bathroom remodel. The price I listed includes all materials except for the tile which I purchased separately.

Wow! If I had know what we were getting into! Hadrian got us through a very difficult remodel. Hadrian Pop, the owner of Blue Tile and Marble, is one of the hardest working, honest guys you'll ever meet. He is very good at what he does too. He books about four months out, but he is worth the wait. Like every remodel, we ran into problems. The original construction turned out to be a challenge, we had problems with the tile order (that I made), we added jobs to the original contract.... what should have been a 10 day job turned into almost 4 weeks. Probably because he was overlapping jobs, Hadrian had an associate lay the tile in the laundry, and the quality of the laundry room floor isn't as good as what Hadrian did in the bathroom. We are pleased with the work Hadrian did.
Description of Work: Blue Tile and Marble took out our old tub and vinyl floor, and installed a heated floor and porcelain tile in our small downstairs bathroom. Our vanity and medicine cabinet and toilet had to removed also, so the bathroom was basically gutted. He built a beautiful shower enclosure. Blue Tile and Marble also took out the vinyl floor in our laundry room and installed a tile floor and tile baseboard there. The price listed above did not include the tile and some supplies which we purchased before hiring Blue Tile and Marble.

Hadrian, as mentioned in other reviews, is an artist, and has a great personality. Result: We love our bathroom! We stay at resorts and high-end hotels when we travel, and we (including our daughters) have liked beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms, and wanted one like that. And that is exactly what we got. It looks magazine-worthy. We recently went to the downtown Hyatt, stayed at an Exec suite, and when we walked into the bathroom, it appeared cheap to us. That was a very happy moment, confirmed that going with Hadrian was the best thing we had done. The interesting thing is that, after a week of work starting, we left for Europe for a month, and project was to finish around the time we were returning. This meant Hadrian had to work with us over the phone and email, and wait as we were often unreachable for hours, even days. There were many challenges - parts didn't match, additional parts were needed, the minimalist theme meant we were dealing with very non-standard and uncommon components, lots of tiling, etc, and he was patient and persistent through all of this, never compromising on quality. The cost is usually forgotten after a few months, but good quality is enjoyed every day, for years and years. He understands that. Hadrian's recommendations for tiles, shower door, and other components were great. We love our shower door the best, never thought a shower door would be that important to us. I will post pictures of the bathroom, tiles, etc. After we finished the project, wecalled Hadrian back to do a couple of things we had forgotten (install towel ring, toilet paper holder), etc, as well as weeks later, when we found an issue with our skylight, we brought his entire crew in, who fixed everything.
Description of Work: Hadrian and crew upgraded our 20 yo bathroom to become a modern bathroom, by replacing practically all major components - shower place, toilet, wardrobe, tub, vanity/cabinet, flooring, woodwork, door, etc. Our theme was modern minimalist, so we did a lot of tile work, freestanding tub, tiled shower with frameless door, etc.

Tried to call and he answered while on the job and didn't even say hello. Tried to tell him I wanted to get a quote, but he said he's on a job and can't talk. Ok...so why did you answer then? Didn't offer to take my name to call back or any customer service type response. Terrible. Don't understand how contractors can't do a simple answering of the telephone. Get a receptionist if you suck at answering a call.

I requested a bid from the Blue Tile web site for repair of my front porch tiles. I promptly received a response indicating they would stop by on Monday to assess the job and provide an estimate. Blue Tile never showed for the estimate and I have had no further contact.

Found them thru Angies List. Interviewed him over the phone from Boulder. Had a few more informational phone calls before I flew up to Seattle to meet him and the home owners. very professional presentation. Had no problem accepting our design ideas, and adjustments. Took a week longer than I was told to start the job. Once they started, it went fairly well. It was a very small bathroom, and should not have taken as long. Contractor had some unforeseen set backs not related to the job, which delayed it further. But, the end results were very nice and the owner was very happy.

As with any remodeling project, unexpected things happen. They took it all in stride and handled all issues promptly and professionally. I feel that it took a little longer than expected, but with the scope of the work that they did I am not unhappy. There were a couple of days when it was close to impossible to park in the garage because of all the needed items they had, but once something was said, they cleared it out. The only negative comment that I have is, if you go to their website it says that they take credit cards ( I wanted the miles ) which they DONT. I felt that was misleading. I have shown before and after pictures of the master bath to a couple of people and nobody believes that it is the same bathroom. If there was some way to post pictures here I would All in all, I am extremely satisfied with the job that they did and would highly recomend them to anybody. I have several of their business cards that I will hand out to friends and co-workers that are looking for the type of services that they perform.
Description of Work: Updated master bath and powder room. The only items left in master bath from before remodel are the toilet, whirlpool tub, and the vanity cabinet, everything else was replaced. Shower enclosure demolished, rebuilt and enlarged with travertine tile. Installed new shower system with a rain shower head. (Excellent job) All plumbing fixtures except for before mentioned items replaced. Linoleum flooring in bath, linen closet, and walk in closet replaced with travertine. Installed granite coutertop with 2 undermount sinks and new faucets. Replaced pink tile (from the 90's which I have hated since we purchased home in 2000) surrounding whirlpool tub. Replaced over counter lighting. All plunbing fixtures, faucets, rough-ins, sinks etc were purchased from another source which added another $ 2500 to the cost. For the powder room they installed a new granite countertop with backsplash, and vessel sink with faucet.

Hadrian provided a very detailed estimate and was flexible in order to meet my budget. He was prompt and very responsive to my calls/text. John installed the tiles. He was very professional and skilled at tiling. He arrived on time and was flexible when I made changes. All my questions and concerns were answered and the bathroom came out beautifully! This is the second time I have used Blue Tile and Marble and I would recommend them to others.

The demolition took one day. Cleanup was accomplished afterward and at the end of each work day. Canvas runners were used every day to minimize tracking dirt into the house. A plastic barrier was installed to protect the master bedroom. The shower stall plumbing fixtures were relocated according to my instructions. Cement board was used as backing in the shower stall and on the bath room floor. The shower stall was then sealed with a water proof membrane. My wife picked the tile and Hadrian told us the size he recommended for the best look. Hadrian and John can best be described as artists. Their tile work is the best I've seen. Simply beautiful. Hadrian and John made suggestions throughout the process to achieve a better outcome and they were always right. Minor problems were confronted and solved.
Description of Work: Demolition of master bathroom including removing existing cast iron tub, removing tub tile surround, removing tile floor, removing vanity and mirror and wall cabinet. Installation of new shower stall to replace the bathtub. New cement board for the shower walls with porcelain tile. Install new plumbing fixtures that I purchased separately. Install tile shower stall floor over concrete base.(No prefab base.) Install cement board on room floor with porcelain tile installed in a diagonal pattern. Tile one complete room wall behind the toilet and vanity. Reinstall the existing toilet. Install the new vanity and mirror, purchased separately. Some plumbing required to accommodate the new vanity.

Exceptional! Everything was timely and the results were so much better than we expected and/or anticipated. He was always on time, cleaned as he worked, kept things orderly in the staging area, hauled away the waste, put down runners each time he was in the house, always polite and helpful. He listened to what we wanted and worked with us to see that we got it. The workmanship is amazing, he takes pride in what he does and it shows. He took the time to do things the right way, as opposed to taking the short cut. We found water damage to the 2nd bathroom when we had them change the pipes for that tub (while the wall was open) and he was very helpful in making suggestions and keeping costs in line as this was not part of the original job. Now we have a second tile job that made such a hugh difference on that bathroom that we decided to go ahead and do that floor as well! We will also use him for our kitchen remodel next year, and any other jobs that we cannot do ourselves. I cannot say enough positive things about him or his work! It was the best experience I could have asked for and I highly recommend him to anyone with a home improvement project.
Description of Work: We found a leak under the shower in the small master bath that required removing the old shower and totally rebuilding the stall. While doing that, we elected to removed the divider wall (solid portion of the old stall) and replaced with glass wall for one side of the shower, and replaced the old plastic shower enclosure with a custom shower from the ground up (new cement pan, new walls, new plumbing under the house and in the walls and new fixtures). We decided to replace the vinyl floor with porcelain tile. We now have a beautiful shower with floor to ceiling porcelain tile wall on 2 sides and glass wall/door on the other side, a new floor and new plumbing that doesn't leak! Totally amazing results! Taking a 1968 small 3/4 bathroom to full glory! Excellent craftsmanship, no shortcuts, top quality work. Went extra to replace pipes in adjoining bath at our request and when Hadrian found water damage he worked with us to replace other bath tile keeping costs down as it wasn't part of original work. He provided several additional services during the process and made it very easy! As an aside, I asked his opinion on replacing the very old exhaust fan and heat lamp in the main bath. He suggested what would work, we bought the parts and he brought an electrician and they installed it, including extra venting and fixing the ceiling, for a very reasonable price. What impressed me was he was able to accommodate our needs as they arose without issue. Not a common thing! Prices are great, doesn't overcharge, very clean when working and cleaned up daily when done. He fit is into his schedule and was very helpful in working with us and making suggestions.

One of the best experiences I've ever had with a contractor. I have a bright, clean new shower that is exactly what I wanted.
Description of Work: Of the three estimates I received, for my shower replacement, Hadrian's was the lowest. He was prompt, he left the area very clean each day, listened to what I wanted and delivered a beautiful new tiled shower. There were problems with the sliding glass shower doors I custom ordered from Home Depot, but Hadrian dealt with Home Depot and kept me abreast of what was happening.

We needed prices and ideas for a small tile project in our bath and tile on the front of a fireplace. We were visited very quickly but the sales man did not have a lot of ideas for our project. We discussed a few things and he said he would get back to us. When we received an estimate it did not make sense. I finally figured out the the wrong estimate had been sent to us. After emailing the company to explain the mistake I never received a response so we looked elsewhere for a contracter.

We have hired Blue Tile previously. Mr. Pop came to give us an estimate. He was very helpful with his suggestions. It was a very busy time for him, but he managed to squeeze in our little job replacing our ceramic tile in the bathroom. It turned out beautifully. We hired Blue Tile this time because of his quality workmanship. We couldn't be happier!
Description of Work: We had water damage on our guest bathroom walls because the grout around the bathtub/shower had leaked. A year ago when Blue Tile did some work in another one of our bathrooms, I asked him to replace the grout in our guest bathroom, he found the water damage. He replaced the grout at our request (we couldn't afford to tile two bathrooms at once). This year we were ready to replace the guest bathroom tile. Mr. Pop deducted the money we had paid him last year for regrouting and also gave us a good deal on the tile. He used a ceramic tile that looks like stone. It turned out beautifully.

Overall the work went very well. Hadrain Pop's estimate gave the best value and my wife and I believed he would be easy to work with. This was a very complicated job involving 4-1/2 bathrooms on 3 floors. We were able to establish a schedule that would not take more than 2 bathrooms out of service at one time. Even with some minor delay in the delivery of the vanities and the bathtub which I had ordered, Hadrain was flexible enough with his work schedule to accommodated us without it delaying the over all completion schedule by more than a few days. Hadrian was also helpful in suggesting type, color and pattern for the tile for the bathrooms at the Bedrosian Tile showroom in Kent. Hadrain also found a copper pipe that had been punchered by a dry wall nail during the original construction of the house in 1986 and replaced the pipe at no extra charge. Hadrain Pop is artistically creative, is an excellent tile setter, and has great attention to detail. The quality of his work is excellent and if you are not satisfied with some detail, he will change it to satisfy you. This is a characteristic in a contractor that you don't often find. My wife and I were very pleased with the results and we highly recommend Blue Tile and Marble.
Description of Work: Blue Tile and Marble remodeled our 4-1/2 bathrooms over a period of 6 weeks. One of the three master bathrooms was completely remodeled with a new cast iron tub with porcelain tile on the walls around it and on the floor, new toilet, and a new vanity with a granite counter top and a under mount sink. Two other bathrooms were remodeled with new porcelain tile floors and shower stalls, new toilets, and new vanities with granite counter tops and under mount sinks. In the half bathroom we only had a toilet replaced and in another bathroom we only had the vanity replaced with a granite counter top and under mount sink. Three of the bathrooms got new plumbing fixtures.

Overall the project went smoothly we missed a couple of days due to circumstances beyond anyones control. We will definitely work with this company again for another tile project.
Description of Work: We hired Blue tile to remodel two bathrooms; kids and master bath in our house. Blue tile removed old tiles and installed new tiles on both bathroom floors and walls, corrected some plumbing issues, built a new shower pan, replaced the vent fan, bath tub and toilets, and shower hardware. Hadrian was very helpful, professional, and reliable to work on this project. He is very skilled and knowledgeable in his trade. He is very well informed about the type, size and quality of tiles for bathroom floors and walls. He was always on time and cleaned up daily before leaving. In the end the bathroom transformation was amazing. He did and incredible job! We are very happy with the final product and are looking forward to enjoying the new bathrooms for many years. Blue tile built two high quality bathrooms, the quality of material and workmanship speak for itself.

Hadrian is the 4th and by far the best tile man we have used for various proiects over the last several years in our Seahurst home. He brought an excellent design eye to this project, listened well to our tastes and provided excellent collaboration in the design elements. When my wife's business travel took her away as the work began, he enthusiastically kept her in the consulting loop with emailed pictures to get her feedback. It was clear he takes his work seriously, laboring over details such as tile placement and exact cuts. Best of all, he halted his work when the initial design did not look right to him, recommending a change which had a strong, positive impact on the final product. Needless to say, we found him very easy to work with and recommend him highly.
Description of Work: Hadrian consulted on the design, guided us to the best tile medium and installed quartz tile over an existing 240 sq ft elevated concrete front view deck. This included finding and installing a metal edging solution compatible with our cedar home exterior.

These 2 bathrooms were the final steps in a 3 year total remodel of our house. I do not have the time to do reviews and have done very few. This one I had to do. Hadrian is our favorite all time contractor by a mile. We hired Hadrian after reading his reviews and meeting him. I knew then that we would not bother with any other bid than his. After having many people working in our home I cannot express enough how important it is to be comfortable with and able to trust someones competence and word. We trusted Hadrian enough to give him a key to our house for working while we were not there. Hadrian offered to and we could have done this job for 5 to 7 thousand. But we wanted luxurious bathrooms to match the quality of the rest of our house remodel. In our opinion Hadrian can handle any job from small tile work to total remodel. He brought in good help for electrical and plumbing but he did all of the tiling himself. He met us at Bedrosians where he gets a contractor discount to help work out the design of the project. Unlike other contractors he will give you a quote for the total project including materials, he does not add any mark up to the materials cost or you can provide your own materials. He also allows you to pay with a credit card through Paypall. Hadrian is an expert and perfectionist at tile work. He will do everything in his power to make you happy with his work. Many things can and will go wrong with projects. He had the ability, patience, and creativity to handle any obstacle in our project. If you are looking for reasonably priced expertly layed tile work that will last 15 years or more I highly recommend Hadrian. If you want the cheapest price and are willing to chance that it will leak and not hold up then you should try others. I believe that if you have Hadrian come to your home to give you a quote you will decide to hire him right then as I did. And if you do I guarantee that you will be happy that you did. What a pleasure it was to work with you my friend. My wife and I appreciate all that you did for us and hope for nothing but the best for your business and Family. PS, Our dogs wanted us to tell you to come and visit them anytime. :)

When we originally remodeled our bathroom five years ago, we went with a cheap, plastic tub surround that was poorly fitted to our tub. After living with that for long enough, we decided to get the job done right. We wanted the best ceramic tile installer we could find, and we were delighted with Hadrian and his crew at Blue Tile & Marble. Super courteous, efficient, professional, detailed work, and Hadrian didn't stop until he was sure we were 100% satisfied. We just wish we had called him to do this when we first remodeled our bath five years ago!
Description of Work: Replaced an old plastic shower surround with new, custom installed subway tile.

See Above. Blue Tile will not let you down, Hadrian's work is excellent.
Description of Work: Blue Tile & Marble went beyond our expectations. We had a leak in our bathroom that required some major patching on tile that was 15+ years. Try to match that? Well Hadrian did an awesome job! He also placed a new tile floor in the same bathroom and it looks just beautiful. We are going to have him come back and install granite in our kitchen. Blue Tile and Marble is now on speed dial on our phone. Hadrian was lightening prompt in returning our call for an estimate, came back on two seperate occassions (we could not decide what to do the first time), showed up when he said he would, finished when he said he would and his work is beautiful. Not only did he do a fabulous job he also let my husband watch, but gave him some great ideas and taught him a lot.

After the old enclosure was removed we found the plumbing outside the walls, so the plumbing was redone running the pipes under the floor to maximize room, and was charged for the extra parts, but not the labor. Because I wanted an overhead rain shower they ran the plumbing through the ceiling as well, again only charging me for the parts. I also wanted a handheld shower with a diverter valve so they put in a new main valve along with the diverter, as the old valve wouldn't accomodate this. This labor was included in the origianl estimate. I had a rough drawing I made of what I wanted. Hadrian met me at Bedrosian's Tile and we discussed options and ideas. For the fixtures, not included in the original estimate, I went with top of the line Hansgrohe, which is very pricey, but exactly what I wanted. All plumbing was tested for leaks when completed before the tile went in, as was the shower floor. My walls were not straight/true, so last minute I decided I wanted the warped drywall taken down, removed bowed 2x4's removed and shimmed to be 90 degrees verticle, and textured. Hadrian found somebody who arrived within an hour and did a great job on fixing the walls. Nothing was done without my consent. They covered the path to my bathroom with plastic and painter's tarp to protect the carpet and kitchen floor, and removed it at the end of each day. The ceramic tile work was absolutely beautiful. I went from sliding glass doors to frameless half inch glass. That cost an extra $1600, but was my choice. The glass contractor left a small mess in the garage and I let Hadrian know he needs to talk to them about that. I am very happy with the job done. This was done during the heavy snow days, but they only missed one day due to heavy snow. I don't know if I can put up pictures on this site, but even the pictures do not do it justice. Makes me smile every morning I see it. There were times when he showed up later than what he said, but then we are all at the mercy of the traffic and snow here. His partner was always here to start the day however.
Description of Work: Met with Hadrian and his plumbing associate to get an estimate on labor. Met at tile display room with Hadrian to discuss options and a few design ideas I had. Redo plumbing to accomodate new plumbing hardware and fixtures. True up the walls to verticle and square. Check for any leaks in new plumbing and shower floor. Met at plumbing supply to select fixtures I wanted. He got almost everything for what he as a contractor would pay. I saw the prices in the wholesale catalogue myself, so I know this to be true. He installed a bench and 2 shower cabinets/shelves. Tiled, grouted, and sealed. Had frameless glass door delivered and installed. Delivery of the glass door took 2 or 3 days longer than estimated and this is probably my only real complaint. They have to complete the shower curb and sides first before taking measurements, because the fit of the glass is critical, so this can't be ordered in advance. My floors were protected from foot traffic with tarps, and taken up at the end of each day. They use a wet tile saw so they need to do that outside the house, and needed an area to work. They leave tools and supplies at the house, but clean up at the end of each day.
