Lowe Construction specializes in building custom homes for the discriminating owner, designer and architect. Lowe is a local, third generation, "time and materials" builder. We provide complete transparency of subcontractor and materials billing to our customers every monthly billing cycle. Lowe will take on any project, however, full phase custom home construction with modest to multimillion dollar budgets are our forte. Lowe Construction does excellent work but is not in any hurry to complete their jobs. They provide high quality work that is completed very, very slowly. San Juan Island may be a unique niche for any type of work you need, but there are possibly countless examples of work that takes far too long to complete at far too high a cost.
Description of Work: This is a review of ongoing work, including new construction and remodeling, at the home of my employer. I don't have specific dates as the work I am reviewing is ongoing and includes several projects. Beginning nearly 30 years ago, this company built a guest house and a main house, and continues to do work on many additional projects like remodels, outbuildings, and decks. Everything is completed perfectly and looks stunning, but it all takes a very long time. For example, a recent dining room add-on took nearly two years. When compared to the 17 months it took to build the Empire State Building from excavation to ribbon cutting, it seems fairly absurd.
