 + -1 moreI contacted Metal Roof Specialties in late June. They came out and did an estimate the following Monday. Marty was right on time. He told me we would be scheduled tentatively for mid-to-late August, with a man coming approximately 4 weeks prior to do exact measurements, and getting 45% down payment. When Jerry came the end of July to do the measurements, (we were notified first), he told us they would be able to fit our job in the following Thursday and it would take about 2 days to complete. He also informed me that a truck would be delivering the materials on Tuesday or Wednesday prior. He called me Tuesday to inform me the materials were on the way. Thursday came and the crew showed up right on time (7am). They completed the whole job by 3:30pm!
Description of Work: After 23 years of climbing up and pressure washing moss off of our composite roof, we decided to go for a metal roof. The entire edge of the composite roof, old vents, an old chimney pipe (no longer needed) and the edge of our built in gutter system were removed. Felt was laid, and the metal roof installed. New vents and new flashing for the main chimney were installed. Also, we asked that safety loops be installed on the east slope of the roof so we can tie on when we are up there!!! Upon completion (we didn't see job until after they had left), we noticed a hole on the underside of the eve where the old gutter had rotted the plywood. I called Marty immediately and he contacted the crew and asked what happened. They showed up within the hour and inspected the damage and made plans for the fix. They went back to the shop and returned within an hour and repaired the damage to our satisfaction that day.

 + -1 moreThis company did some really beautiful work, using an excellent roof system. They were punctual, friendly and responsible. I would have given an "A" for quality, except for a couple of issues, one aesthetic and one practical. Both occurred on the last day of work and I think they were due to somebody being in a hurry to finish the job. When I called to report the issues, there were people immediately sent out to repair the errors and they were great, wanting to get things right. The quality of the work after that was higher than an "A", I would say more like "A+". Metal Roof Specialties is more expensive than some other roofing companies, but well worth it.
Description of Work: Re-roof existing house and add new roofing to addition using a zinc-alum (silver metal) roof system.
