Stewart Roofing was an excellent choice from the beginning. What set them apart from their competitors was the time that Tim (in the office) took to answer every question I had (I had a lot). With all other things equal between the all the companies, I came away from our discussion and the extra attention he gave me feeling good about Rick Stewart's company and that they would do the job right. I was also pleased with the terms: cash/payment after the job was done. (And I like giving work to a local person if I can.) I was not disappointed in that good feeling. Everything went smoothly, from the old roof removal, to the installation of the new plywood sheathing on the house roof (old 1960's "tongue'n'groove" was leaking in many areas) then the laying of the Pabco Premier fiberglass shingles on both the house and the detached garage (the shingles were shot there.) The three man team were industrious and busy all the time. Though I was there part of the three days (rain was a bit of a concern), I didn't need to be. The team knew their jobs and apparently worked well together (they all work together at each job, so they know what to expect from one another, I expect.) The gutters were installed by a subcontractor of Rick's on the garage. Done in one afternoon (garage is BIG...used to repair diesel semi's), they looked great. Each and every day, the team did an excellent cleanup. After the crew left for good, I did a careful walk around the perimeter...about 4 times in all. I only found two nails that slipped through the cracks. That's pretty exceptional...only two nails from two roofing jobs. I've seen it way worse at other homes I've been at. I intend to vote them another "Angie's Best" award. The work and experience was great!

They were fine. Except for punctuality, they were good. The price was average. They did a good job but they said they would do it by the end of September and they didn't do it till the end of November.

Called about a lead in my barn roof and getting an estimate for repair or replace if needed. Came out when he was already in area for another call with a nearby homeowner. Looked at roof and gave me ideas on adding gutters instead of doing roof. Charged me full price for hammering in 3 nails. Would have been left with a better feeling about company had he lowered the price given he was already in the area, and that the 'work' was basically a 5 minute job. I understand that I did get some advice for the money and he did not rip me off for a new roof. That is why the A's for professionalism.

They did an okay job but it was not great. **Update 12/2/15** The Management came back and totally cleaned the roof for a second time. They did a good job.

I spoke with Tim at Stewart Roofing last week. After less than 2 minutes, he determined that the company would not be able to work on my roof because the pitch is very steep. But then Tim went on to spend another 10 minutes with me on the phone to discuss possible causes of a moisture/mildew stain on a ceiling, and then he referred me to another roofing company who could probably do the work. He even suggested I email him a photo so he could take a look at the problem. I was super impressed that he was so helpful when he knew his company would not be making any money from me. I can't say enough good things about my experience with this company, even though no actual work was performed.

The price was reasonable. The service was top of the line service. The owner told us if we had any leaking within a year thaty they would come back out and fix it for nothing.

My tenant reported a roof leak on a Sunday morning. Stewart roofing was able to come out the same day. They diagnosed the problem as being a warped piece of sheathing caused by moisture from underneath. They fixed the leak quickly and gave a recommendation to fix whatever was causing the moisture underneath, thought to be lack of airflow due to too thick insulation crammed against the sheathing. Initially we thought a large section of the roof needed to be pulled off to reduce the thickness of the insulation and increase air flow (vaulted ceilings). I had trouble diagnosing the problem in the attic because of the vaulted ceilings, so they came out to cut a test hole to check rafter dimensions and insulation thickness. They hooked me up with an insulation company that had the idea for a very inexpensive fix, which was to slide 1 x 2 boards down each bay, then turn them vertical to push the insulation down and allow air flow. This worked perfectly. Steward Roofing could have easily convinced me that I needed a $4000 repair, but they worked really hard to save me money. Tim and Rick are great to work with and were very generous with their time in getting this problem solved, even after it was evident that they weren't going to be putting on a new roof. I plan to use them when we put a new roof on my primary residence next year.

In the end, I didn't have a roof leak but the employee checked the outside of the roof for any issues. He next went into our attic and was able to find the water leak as being caused by the furnace ductwork. There was an access issue in our attic and he cut a larger opening to get to the problem area. He was also nice enough to take some pictures so I can share them with the next person. I really appreciated all the work done to help diagnosis the issue even though in the end it wasn't a roofing issue.

Responded to my initial phone call almost immediately. Was out to look at the details within a day and called me back with the cost quote and when the work would be done. Very professional, prompt, polite and impressive follow through. I liked the work they did so much that it gave me an idea for even more work I would like for them to do. Good company to work with, my pleasure to leave this review.

The workers showed up on Tuesday morning and had completed the job by Wednesday night. Approximately 2,000 s.f. of roof area, skylight replacement, all new vents (even added more for me to increase ventilation), a couple of sheets of replaced plywood sheathing and fascia board and new lead pipe flashings. I wasn't able to be at home when they worked on the roof during the day, but I did stop by a few times just to check on progress. The foreman was courteous and respectful and told me what the plan was for the shingle replacement. After it was all done, the yard was cleaned up and I've only found a few of the old staples from the original roof being torn off. I would highly recommend this company as they've been in business for quite a few years, they are extremely helpful (Tim was outstanding getting everything lined up to start the job) and for the main reason that they didn't try to sell me the top of the line material or anything else I didn't really need.

We called Stewart roofing on the 20th of October. The weather was rainy and windy so the roof could not be worked on until the weather was cooperative. Jeff put tarps on the roof and came out several times to make sure the tarps were holding.. He even came out on a Saturday his own time. We had the tarps on the roof for almost a month until we had some dry weather. In the meantime Tim kept us informed with emails and phone calls. When the work was scheduled they came with four guys and a truck to take away all the old roof. They were here for a couple of hours. They cleaned up the surrounding grounds when they were finished. It was a good experience and I would recommend this company to anyone looking to replace a roof or to repair a roof.

What a responsive company. Came out to access the damage and identify the color/brand of shingle. They were able to locate and repair my roof that same day. Will happily refer them to friends and neighbors.

Tim went above and beyond to send someone the same day I called. 3 other roofing companies didn't call back after 3 days. It is roofing season and everyone very busy. Person was very knowledgable which made up for a bit of cockiness . Would use their service again.

Our home inspector identified a few concerns on the roof of the house we were buying. Based on his concerns, we called 15 roofers from Angie's List hoping for a timely evaluation. Rick from Stewart was one of the first (out of four total) to call back. He was extremely flexible and squeezed us in despite their busy schedule. I can't thank them enough. They identified a second leak and several problems with how the roof was installed and saved us thousands had we simply accepted the seller's offer to fix the first leak. We are still negotiating about the need to re-roof the house, and the sale may fall through, but if we indeed purchase this house, Stewart also submitted a very competitive bid. One of the most frustrating things right now is trying to find a contractor who will even answer the phone (much less make room for you in less than 72 hours). Stewart was top notch

The job turned out to be much more complicated than a simple tear off and replace. This was due to unsuspected severe water damage. Aaron, Mike, and Jeff were very knowledgeable and competent. They kept us and Rick, the owner of Stewart Roofing, informed at each step. Communication was excellent. Their cleanup was constant, as they worked, so there was never any mess. We feel fortunate to have had Rick and his crew do the work.

Called them after a repaired leak began leaking once again just as guests were about to arrive for the Christmas holiday. Stewart roofing came out an performed an visual inspection of the roof. (It was dark and they were up on the roof with headlamps on). Determined that the old roofing was installed incorrectly including the vents what were installed upside down. Recommended a new roof to eliminate the reported leak and to prevent any future problems in the future due to the bad installation. They removed and disposed of two layers of singles, repaired any rotted sub surface boards, installed new barrier and new shingles. The installation was done in stages to protect the portion of the roof not being worked on that day due to the inclement weather. The job was done over a two day period and we couldn't be happier! I would highly recommend this roofer. They were responsive and very professional.

Great! They arrived on time, were courteous, great communicators and left the place spotless. It was a pleasure having them take care of my roof.

Overall the job was completed quickly, efficiently and with relatively little mess. The job before mine required more work than originally thought, delaying the start of my project several times. Rick and Tim were very good about keeping me updated on the start date. The crew completed a total tear off and re-roof of my home and detached garage within 3 days. There was one day off due to weather, the crew left equipment and tools neatly stacked and out of the way. I own a classic car that lives in the garage. The guys were very understanding of my concern for damage from falling debris. They even helped me move the car out of the way. As for the lower rating on price? Well, who really wants to have to fork over a bunch of cash for a roof? I would definitely recommend them to other customers.

Jeff arrived within 15 minutes of my call and found that the calking around my fireplace vent pipe was not done properly. He re-calked the entire area that looked like the source of the leak. He then noticed that the paint crew that was here had not properly calked all the wood seams and gaps around the chimney casing area. His pictures that he took of before and after the repairs were made set my mind at ease and reassured me that if the problem didn't go away he would come back out a second time and look for other possible problem areas for no additional charge!

When I am ready to move forward on the roof I will call Stuart Roofing. Very professional, responsive and even followed-up without being pushy. Bid was in line with others.

It all started with a leak in our walk-in closet. Thanks to the heavy rains this winter, this wasn't surprising. We called Stewart's to come out for an estimate. From start to finish, we were very pleased with this company. Their front end person took my information and got some very detailed information from me regarding the type of roof. Rick was out to check it the very next day. We didn't know if this would be a repair or a replacement before making the call. Rick recommended a replacement after his inspection. There was just too much damage (as the roof is several decades old) to do a replacement. We looked over their bid once he had e-mailed it and we agreed. It took a little less than a week for them to come out, due mostly to the lingering rains. But they came out on a Friday about 2:30 and managed to get the southern half of the roof removed and replaced by 6PM! Very impressed with the hard work they put into this. There was another delay of four days, again due to weather. But then they were out her at 8:30AM and spent the whole day doing the rest of the work. It turns out that the while the entire roof had been done before, for some reason, the front half had an extra layer! They showed me where this was and I agreed they had to get that done. Throughout this experience, I was kept well informed as to when they would be out, the work to be done and any changes that had to occur. Because of the third layer on the front of the house and due to the damage to plywood there, the cost of the project had to be increased. No problem. I could see the need and didn't feel as though I were being ripped off in any manner. All told, a very professional experience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

Everything was great from start to finish. The whole team was friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable. Communication was excellent which is a tribute to them as I am not the easiest person to get ahold of at times. They showed up promptly, did the work as promised, for the price agreed upon, and left no trace they were even there. Absolute roofing rock stars, I'm now going to have them replace another roof in the near future and would highly recommend Stewart Roofing based on their professionalism, pricing, and integrity.

It took 3 days of concentrated hard work to replace the roof on my house. It never go above 35 degrees the whole time and the crew stayed at it for about 8 hours a day. I don't know that I've ever seen anybody work this hard. The clean up was done quickly and well.

I must admit, as a housing professional who is in the business on a day-day basis (housing wood products sales) I am impressed w Stewart Roofing. My correspondence w Rick/Tim/Jeff (on site) was professional, timely, and courteous in each instance both by email and in person. A simple call to initiate the estimate appointment. They assessed my roof issue, provided a written estimate, and followed up with a respectable quote/price. Frankly, i shopped the #'s, got other estimates and dove into reviews like most of you are doing now...in the end - I picked Stewart. The work was done as promised, in time and under (my budget). Most especially, they stand by their work. I would use the business again, and refer the team at Stewart for your next job. J. Dale
