+ -1 moreThey came out and they were very prompt. When I called they were here in 15 minutes. He told me that when I had my roof done they didn't do it right and left some stuff off. They came that same night because it was going to rain and I didn't think my ceiling could take much more before it was affected by the water. They also told me that if it leaked just call them.

+ -1 moreFour days later, when they called to give me an estimate ($7000.00), I told them the roof was already done. I guess there was no service performed.
Description of Work: I was very surprised by this company because they are rated "A" on this list. I called for an estimate and talked with a competent sounding person who assured me an estimator would look at my roof and then they would mail an estimate within three days. A week later I called and spoke with someone who had never heard of me, but checking the call record found that I had in fact called, he said they would have an estimate in the mail within three days. A week later I called again and spoke with yet a third person who didn't know anything about me, but said the owner would look at my roof that very day and give me an estimate by the next day. Meanwhile my tenant informed me someone had already been up on the roof.

+ -1 moreStewart Roofing, has installed two roofs for us. One on our personal home and another on our rental property. Both times their price was fair and, responsiveness was first rate. All the members of their staff were professional, courteous and very willing to explain what was happening. Our friends have horror stories about selecting the cheapest company and within a few years no one was around to help them. We had no problem with language communicating with any members of the company from the office to the actual crew on the roof. Knowing they have been here with the same owner for over 28 years we are very happy with our choice of companies.
Description of Work: A staff member measured and photographed our roofs, the company provided an estimate, and removed the old roofing, inspected the roof structure, and installed new architectural style composition shingles. All debris was removed and the job was left very clean.

They emailed and snailed mailed the estimate (which was the least expensive of the 3 I got) and called one time to follow up. They promptly delivered full size samples so I could select the color and they completed the job in just 3 days. They did a great job cleaning up over the weekend, as they knew I was having a party. They finished and cleaned up everything when they were done. Great work.

+ -1 moreRick Stewart has a professional team of roofers who know what they re doing starting with a prompt on site roof evaluation and estimate. Stewart s approach to selling a new roof begins with a focus on value and quality. Our choice for a new roof was the 30 year Landmark Premium algae-resistant shingle by Certaineed. Once the roofing materials are delivered to the rooftop, the entire process took less then four days. The roofers were courteous and very considerate the place was spotless when they were done.
Description of Work: Replacing a 25 year old cedar shake roof with a composition roof requires removing the old shake roof and felt paper. Before the composition roof can be laid, 3/8 plywood needs to be applied over the entire roof area. New edge flashing and adequate ventilation are also part of the overall installation.

+ -1 moreWe received an estimate and from the time we decided to go with this company, it took one week to complete the job. The roofers were very courteous, prompt and hard-working. They cleaned up at the end of each work day and hauled everything away at the end.
Description of Work: We had our old cedar shake shingle roof replaced. The old roof was removed, 1/2 inch OSB board was installed over the entire roof, felt paper was laid, and fiberglass composition shingles were laid. Some of the old flashings were removed and new installed, and hood vents were replaced with new. All debris was hauled away.

Description of Work: As a repeat customer of Stewart Roofing Inc. we highly recommend them. We could not be more pleased with their work. Their prices are competitive and their workmanship is superior! They took special care to install extra roof vents to increase air circulation. Our composition roof is very handsome and harmonious with our house color. During a recent windstorm a tree fell into our yard, clipping the metal strip on the gutter. This was repaired for us at no charge, matching the original metal perfectly, by Stewart Roofing.

The roofs are so reliable (especially considering this fall and winter's weather) that we feel inclined to let people know about their services. My wife and I feel secure with our new roofs as Stewart Roofing is licensed, bonded and insured and has been owned by Rick Stewart for the last 20 plus years. Also, their estimator, roofers, truck driver, office manager and billing department are polite, straight forward, and professional. We rarely experience such a good overall value with contractors - and the price was right!
Description of Work: Stewart Roofing re-roofed our 1800 sq ft house, 750 sq ft detached garage, and 2000 sq ft barn using composition roofing.

They did a great job for us, and even moved up the work to accommodate our schedule (we were trying to get our home on the market). We were given lots of information, and appropriate choices. The finished products looked so nice, people were stopping by to ask who did the work!
Description of Work: They put a brand new 30 year roof on a 1650 sq. ft tri-level home. The price was comprehensive, and included tear off and haul away of old roofing materials, installation of drip cap metal on all gable ends, application of 15 lb asphalt saturated roofing felt over entire roof, re-flashing around all roof protrusions, replacement of existing 12 hood vents with new, clean gutters and grounds, haul away debris.
