Couldn't have been more pleased with the quality of work and professionalism from the two guys that showed up for the work. They explained what they were seeing and what needed to be done to fix the issue. They also made some great suggestions. I will not hesitate to call these guys again and have already put the spring tune up on my calendar.

Overall this was an excellent experience and I am very impressed. I can without any hesitation recommend this company for channel drain work. Aaron and his Project Manager, Jeff Grenwell, were very thorough in describing the work that would be done, what to expect, how to prepare and what the potential problems would be. They told us there would be a lot of noise from the concrete saw-which there was for one day. They also warned that concrete dust may migrate up into the main level of the house, which never happened. The crew very thoroughly taped off all vents, doorways and personal possessions/furniture with plastic sheeting which successfully kept the concrete dust contained. We turned off our heater fan, kept the heat turned off, closed windows and did not run ventilation fans so as not to pull air from the basement into the upper level. The work progressed exactly as described and started and finished on time, even though we expanded the scope of the project by adding the north wall. The concrete work is smooth and level and looks nice. Jeff took special care to try to match a patch to our aggregate driveway with a special Coke method-very creative and it looks great. Jeff also took special care to ensure our gas hot water heater was appropriately disconnected then reconnected without leaks, which took some time. The guys were very thorough with clean-up after the work was completed. They mopped a couple times, wiped down surfaces and removed all debris from the property. Both Jeff and Aaron asked us to contact them if we had any questions later on. Overall, high quality work, excellent customer service and care and personal attention to detail. Jeff and his crew take pride in their work.
Description of Work: We have an early 1960's split level home with a daylight basement. The exterior underground drainage system had collapsed over the last several years so we have experienced moderate flooding in our basement during long wet periods of weather. On two occasions, heavy, sustained rainfall caused underground water table to rise above normal, forcing water through spaces in the foundation into our basement and garage area. After researching methods for drainage, I was interested in an interior basement channel drain that would catch the water entering through the foundation and channel via gravity to the outside. The other alternative was building an outside drainage system which I felt was more complicated and more expensive. After meeting with Aaron Norman, General Manager Rain Pro's, we decided to do the channel drain. The drain was installed along the inside perimeter of our north, west and south walls by cutting the cement floor, digging a channel, installing drain pipe, filling the channel with gravel and covering with concrete level with the floor. The channel runs downhill underground along side our driveway and empties into a nearby drainage ditch. Approximately 10 inches of the south edge of the driveway was cut away and crushed gravel was installed level with the driveway after the channel was filled. This process does require any flooring to be repaired or replaced after the work is done because of the need to cut into the foundation but if you had flooding, you may need to replace your flooring or carpet anyway. :-)

We authorized the work, which they completed the same day. We are very happy with the results. They system works much better than it ever did in the previous 4 years we lived here. It was worth the wait. I would definitely use Rain Pros again.
Description of Work: The first time we tried to use our irrigation system this summer, several of the sprinkler heads did not work. One the did work would not shut off. We had to have the water company turn the water off at the valve. I called Rain Pros based on the reviews on Angie's List. They had a lot of repair work scheduled so they added us to the list and told us they would call the day before they would be out. It was several days later that they called to say they could come the next day between 8:30 and noon. Two men arrived at 8:35. They identified numerous problems, which did not surprise us because the previous owner had installed the system himself and did a very poor job. As the workman went through the system, they explained each problem to my husband (who does understand the technological details). He was very impressed with their professionalism and willingness to share information. There were incorrectly installed parts, unnecessary parts, incorrect sprinkler heads, cheap materials that were cracking, and bad balancing between zones.

Initial Visit: Owner explained the installation process. Described the materials being used. Described the skills of the labor force. Decsribed follow-up maintenance support (if needed). Answered my questions. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Installation: Crew arrived on time. Took care in preparing the lawn, flower beds. Installed the system. Tested the system. Cleaned up after work completed. Checked in with me to see if this is what I wanted / expected. Taught me how to use the system. Gave advice on what to do for the first three weeks. Very professional. Well mannered. Very friendly. No trouble at all. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Rain Pros service tech's were on time (extremely important to me) and completed their exam and the repair of my irrigation system, as well as the installation of a new rain sensor within 30-45 minutes. These technicians were polite and prompt with the task at hand. The back-flow test was completed by another technician on a second appointment, again he was on time, prompt, and quick with his job. This first experience with Rain Pros was great and i will certainly use this contractor again. This provided me with additional evidence that Angie's List ROCKS.

The contractor who originally installed our sprinkler system 3 years ago did a very poor job. To name just a few of our problems, a couple heads were buried so far below the surface the pop-up was below ground level; some heads had a range twice what was needed (and watering the street!), other heads had a range that was half of what was needed. In spite of my husband's attempts over the years to correct the problems, I found we were still pulling out the hose and hose-end sprinklers to water some grass areas and flower beds that the sprinkler system wasn't covering. Those efforts seemed to defeat the purpose of a sprinkler system! I called Rain Pros and found they were having a Spring/Start-Up Special for $90.00. Two of their workers arrived and did a complete inspection of all the sprinkler heads. That I know of (they may have done more), they replaced broken heads; replaced heads that would give better coverage to an area; adjusted range of coverage; dug out heads that had gotten buried; and were able to move one head for better coverage of the area. These two Rain Pros guys were able to accomplish more in 1 hour than we'd been able to do in 3 years! They were knowledgeable, efficient, courteous, and professional. If we have any future sprinkler system needs, Rain Pros will be the company I'll be calling!

Aaron was easy to work with and provided exactly what was discussed. I plan to do some updates to the landscaping and part of the the installation we agreed to includes small updates to account for the changes I am planning. The regular installation also includes return visits if the coverage is not complete. So far everything looks perfect and I would not hesitate to use Rain Pro again.

Overall great experience with the company. Never having owned a house with a sprinkler system, not only did they turn on the system and replace the needed parts; they educated us on how it works and how to care for it. They also suggested some helpful enhancements that we will consider in the future. Oliver and his assistant were very polite and pleasant to work with. Will work with company for regular maintenance of our sprinkler system.
Description of Work: Needed to start up an older sprinkler system for the first time in a house we moved into last fall. Service included starting the system in all zones, replacing any broken parts and ensuring the sprinklers covered the entire yard.

Worked with Aaron on project scope and bidding. He was great to work with, very professional, easy to work with; good communication. They were the best price, and I feel the most interested in working with me. All of the employees were very professional and they worked diligently and on time. Aaron bid the project appropriately; and worked with me to add additional items towards the end. Scheduling was very fast. He also offered a 5 year warranty if maintained with him; which beat everyone else. He worked with the city for permitting and inspection, and took care of that piece for me (not the most exciting in Snoqualmie). He made sure to meet the city's requirements for irrigation install and backflow certification. The installation of the irrigation system was well done. Jeff was the PM on the project; and onsite with the team. They cleaned up very well after they were finished; brought a good number of guys out to finished the project quickly. The retaining wall installation was top notch; much better than the homebuilder had installed previously. Drainage work was done very well. They installed a Hunter system, and did a good job showing me how to operate. I'm glad I have this partnership with these guys; as the sprinkler systems needs maintained over time; and it's good to have someone professional to work with each year.
Description of Work: 4 Zone Lawn Irrigation, 3 Tunnels. Retaining Wall completed with Mason Stone (had a half-wall); increased height; maintained under permit requirements. Added drainage for Retaining wall and poor drainage areas. Leveled back yard with retaining wall. Added 3 yards topsoil, rock. Fresh bark, 4 yards, front and back yard. Fixed wind damaged fence, added concrete for fence posts. Added Trex Landscaping Edging.

He had ballparked the estimate anywhere from 500 bucks to about 3000. We haven't gone any further with them. Our first impression wasn't all that great. I think he got his contacts mixed up. He had an appointment with someone else and I had to call him to ask him if he was going to be late to mine. He came to me first and asked me if we had a leak in our house. I told him I was expecting somebody for a quote on sprinklers. He asked me to call my husband and check if he had rescheduled without my knowledge and then he realized it was his own fault. He looked at the yard and gave us quotes on sprinkles. We have not gone any further with them. I am not sure if we will actually. He was on time.

As said earlier - it went very well overall. It is a pleasure to find such honest, accessible, and personable and professional folks. Rain Pros was that and more!
Description of Work: An exterior drain that sits in a basement window well and catches rain water and water from our roof drain had become clogged during a huge storm. I noticed that the it was full of water and only an inch or so from reaching the basement window. I bailed out the 5 ft x 3 ft deep space and ascertained that the problem was deep within the system, and not fixable by me. One problem is that I found this at about 9 pm, and the rain was so intense the window well was filling up every 45 minutes. I honestly could not think of who to call for this - a plumber? I just could not pull it together enough to figure out the best way to handle it...so I spent the next 12 hours bailing out the space in the pouring rain every 45 minutes. It was exhausting. In the early morning I began calling plumbers to see if anyone might be able to help. However, because of the storm, everyone was beyond booked - only a few of the 20 or so places I called returned my call, and I spoke live to only a couple. I was getting nowhere and felt as though I might not be able to find a solution. Then I turned to Angie's List and looked up drain related businesses and hit upon Rain Pros. Although it was a Sunday, I decided to call, left a message explaining my situation - and within a few minutes Aaron (the owner) called back and said they could come over in a few hours and check it out. And when they did show up they got to work immediately, figured out the problem, and did a temporary fix so the window well would drain. Then Aaron sent a worker out within a day or so to do the real fix. But, it turned out that the problem was more than first thought, and a new drain pipe needed to be installed extending from the window well down the full length of our very large sloped yard to the alley. Aaron and his crew addressed it in a timely manner and did a great job of digging a trench for the pipe, careful to replace the lawn so that it was hard to tell any work had been done. We now have a great drain system - so much better than before. And, one more thing, Rain Pros had a coupon on Angie's for a discount on exterior drain pipe installation. But, the coupon should have been removed a while back. But Aaron & I came to a great compromise. Instead of a cash discount he offered some landscape plants - and I could not have been happier when 4 beautiful dwarf maples arrived on my porch! What a wonderful company to deal with! They really did come to my rescue, went above and beyond in more than once, did quality work, and were hard working and ethical. I cannot recommend them more highly!

We moved into this house a couple of years ago, knowing that there were signed of past water damage in our crawl space. We have attempted to mitigate the problem with rain barrels and down spout extensions and small amounts of trenching. However, we were still getting puddling in our crawl space after a hard rain, leading to some wooden support damage, and general mustiness. We decided we had to solicit professional help, not really knowing what the solution would be. We sought proposals from three companies. One wanted to charge a couple of hundred dollars just to bid the job, and we decided we were unwilling to pay for a bid. Another wanted to install extensive catch basins, removing one or more trees to do so, and gave us an initial bid of over $9000, later saying that some of the items in the proposal were optional, and that they could do the work for $5000, if we paid cash instead of check. We were unwilling to do business with this company either. This left Rain Pros. Aaron bid the job for $2800, saying that expensive catch basins and even more expensive hook-ups to the city's catch basins could be avoided by use of pop-up valves, siphoning water away from our house and down to street level (we are on a slight slope - our property slopes down from the house to the street, but one close neighbor is slightly above us, and water from his downspouts works its way through our side yard and into our crawl space). Rain pros proposed a combination of underground drainage pipes to directly capture the water from any of our problem downspouts, along with a French drain to act as a barrier between our house and any water that flows to it from our neighbor's property. because trenching needed to be done in the same location where our water main is located, we decided to replace this at the same time. Aaron had a crew of roughly half a dozen workers, all of whom worked like demons to create trenches and install drains in several locations. They also made sure to do the work in a way that made it convenient for our plumbers to work on the water main, and for permit inspection on the drain. Overall, I was very pleased. However, there was a bit of bid-creep. The bid increased by a couple of hundred dollars when they realized they would need to haul away earth in order to make room for the crushed rock surface they were installing. They also didn't realize that the new water main would need to be surrounded with sand, and charged a couple hundred dollars for that. Finally, they insisted that, even though we tried not to schedule them to return to work until after the inspection was done, waiting for the inspector amounted to a work stoppage, at a cost of another couple of hundred dollars (we later agreed to split the cost on this last item). As it stands we are pleased with the work, and think they did a reasonable job of restoring the landscaping. We still need to see how the new system works in a big rainstorm.
Description of Work: Attached most of our roof downspouts to underground drainage pipes, siphoning water away from the house and out to three different pop-up valves near the sidewalk at the edge of our property. They also installed a French drain along our entire side yard, again to a pop-up valve near the sidewalk. This was to capture water from a neighbor's down spouts that was draining into our side yard and from there into our crawl space. They also helped to install a new water main, making use of the existing trench to replace a 45yr old drain. The scope of work required significant trenching in three different areas of our property, restoring grass and other landscaping to original condition. They also had to remove a portion of our concrete patio, replace our mudfield of a side yard with a new crushed rock surface, and coordinate work with our plumber and permit inspector (permit pulled only for the water main, and not for the drainage system).

I solicited several bids for a sprinkler system in my yard. Aaron was the first to respond to my request and schedule an appointment to come out to my house and look at the yard. He was very professional and had samples of sprinklers. He seemed very knowledgeable and took measurements. He was quick with his bid. I had scheduled representatives from three other companies to come out. The bid from Rain Pros came in first and while it was not our lowest bid for the project it was three times less than the only other company to have a comparable design for the system. The system took 1.5 days to install. We monitored our system for 4-6 weeks and wanted to change a sprinkler head and make sure the drip system was working correctly. Aaron was responsive and sent someone out right away. Given that maintaining a sprinkler system requires a fall shut-down and spring start-up consider the company you choose since the relationship will last longer than just the project installation. We are happy to have Aaron and Rain Pros on our watering team and highly recommend this company!

The original bid they gave us was 200 dollars more than the lowest bid we received, but they matched this and because of the overall professionalism of Aaron we chose to go with Rain Pro's. They were the only company that talked to me about city codes that were supposed to be followed, and showed me pictures of their work. I was not disappointed, they did a great job, I am very happy with the work they did! All their workers were very nice, and the job was completed within the estimated time frame. When I had a couple issues with the coverage, they were out the next day, and corrected them all! I liked all their workers enough that I have already scheduled them to return to do the winterization for us. Things they could improve on, one is punctuality, the day of the quote Aaron was here on time, but had written our address down wrong and was ringing our next door neighbor's bell. The Friday before the Monday installation, I received a call saying that they would be at my home around 11AM, instead of the pre-arranged 8AM. Then at 11:30AM on Monday I received a call saying they were running late, an hour later they were at my home. Lastly I have dogs, and we had a bit of an issue, when they left every day without closing our gates, they did compensate us for this, but if you hire them and have animals check your gates, before letting your dog out. Overall it was a very good experience, and yes I would hire them again in a minute, and already have...for my winterization and will do so for the spring service as well. And would not think twice about recommending them to anyone, and already have given their numbers to my neighbors.

We appreciate the member's concerns however we used the same Scotts Sun and Shade Blend that we have used for 5 years. The issue is that the weather turned bad in March/April and the field grass looking seeds seem to be all that germinated. We have since reseed the lawn to bring it up to the expected standard under warranty with no additional cost. Regarding the length of the project, all of the work was completed in a matter of days short of pressure washing. The pressure washing was set up originally to be billed seperately on a time and materials basis and we continued to consult with the member that our time estimate was based on the higher end pressure washer that we own which failed when we showed up to finish his project. The one man owner operator repair facility we took the machine to had health issues and kept delaying the repair, throughout we continued to consult with the member that the project would cost him less if he waited for our best machine and he continued to agree. We sincerely regret the member's concerns about the quality and speed of his project and like all projects will continue to work to ensure he is satisfied with the outcome.

The project went very well. Because of my yard being extremely small, Aaron recommended a T&M job with a low price estimate, but not to exceed a certain amount. The final invoice was the original lowest amount on the estimate. The installers showed up early and finished early, which was a nice as well. They were courteous enough to call in advance to see if an early start was OK. Because my yard is so small, I doubt that I will need their services in the future, but if I move and need irrigation, I will not look any further than Rain Pros. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.
Description of Work: Install drip system, including digital controller and wireless rain sensor. Also, installed a secured hose-bib mount to keep neighbors from steeling my water when I'm out of town.

RGI started the job when they told us they would. Aaron was responsive to every question we asked. After the work was done he came back twice to make sure it was working correctly and that we were happy. He explained his warranty in advance and told us to call him if there were any issues. The stripes from the trenching are mostly gone after two weeks. It is amazing the difference in our lawn and I no longer have to move hoses at night. I would not hesitate to recommend RGI.
Description of Work: I interviewed three companies to put a sprinkler system in our lawn. RGI stood hands above the rest. The first quoted me 2 thousand more and did not explain how they would handle some difficult areas like going though retaining walls. The second company quoted me 3 thousand less but did not even realize they would have to go through the retaining wall. They were going to dig my neighbors lawn. RGI spent an hour with us explaining how they would have to take apart part of the retaining wall to get the pipe from the front of the lawn up a level to the rest of the yard. He showed us all the pieces of equipment they would be installing and explained why the parts were good for our lawn application. Since I had contacted him through another website company, he offered a discount per zone installed. RGI installed a 8 zone sprinkler system. The website company that we contacted them through requires contractors licenses and insurance before a contractor can be affiliated with them.
