DF Barrueta Drywall and Painting

We hired him and spent 6 weeks working with him. We hired him to redo our basement. 1. The quality of work was bad, Timeliness was bad, workmanship was bad, Knowledge and skill was terrible. We had to fire Christian Barrueta and hire another contractor to complete the work. 2. He ruined our plumbing for the washer, dryer, utility tub. 3. He does the shoddiest job, covers up everything quietly. 4. We had to tear down our wall again and redo our plumbing, sewer lines, dry wall, tape, texture and paint. It costed us 2x the money. Please do not hire him. 5. Attention to detail is terrible. All switches were installed with out convention, Switch plates were crooked, Paint splashes every where, Ruined our brand new floors. He installed our $2000 washer and dryer without removing the shipping bolts and we used the machine for a week like that and this possibly ruined our drum. He also does not give you official receipts and tries to evade taxes in spite of us asking repeatedly. Please contact me if you have questions. I have photos of all the work. The job started late, was took 12 days. The tapers left mud lines, so everywhere they spread mud they either did not ut enough layers to hide the tape or screws, or did not sand the edge of the mud smooth. So you see mud edges everywhere with the paint. The owner was more concerned about getting paid than doing a what he was hired to do. When the tapers told him they where done he never checked the work. I had to show them what I wanted fixed. The walls had pencil marks everywhere from my review, and I still did not find everything. I fell that the owner lied to me about the ability of his crews to do the job. Do not hire this guy. I have the walls to prove his lack of caring, and photos too. The project is a whole house remodel and the timeline took a big hit. Since I am still finding their mistakes the recovery is quite costly. I tried to get them to do the job right, but they had no interest in fixing the issues. This man is not interested in providing high quality, just wants your money. STAY AWAY!
