The experience was top notch from design to installation. Worked with us to find a good solution, then once scheduled the work proceeded smoothly. It's been couple years later now and we are still very happy with the result!

Steve’s work does not last! In less than 1 year the paver patio started to sink and form a small pool when it rained. Now after two years it’s practically falling apart. When I ask him to make it right last year Steve dodged me for over a month until I gave up. He’d text then disappear, then he’d tell me to call him at a certain time only not to pick up. I never write reviews but he is a scam artist. After doing research I learned you’re supposed to put crushed gravel then compact the base. Your supposed screed sand on top of the gravel for an exact grade. His guys used loose soul, did not compact with a compactor and eyeballed the grade. When reading the other reviews, notice they are all provided right after the job is done. None reflect his work over time

Once I did review this company quite highly--ironically, because they stood behind their work and if there were any problems, they would make it right. (See my review of 4-27-18). But recently things seem to have fallen apart. The pavers along the edges of the large patio they installed have become loose, and many have popped off. The pavers just inside the border stones has sunk a quarter to a half inch all along the length of one side. I have had regular responses to my queries for repairs, but always the same: The owner is in Florida on another project, and promises to "get to it next month". This has been happening now since summer. I would prefer he just get someone out here to fix things, and be done with it. The company is licensed and bonded, but I hope I don't have to resort to that. The next step is the BBB and whatever resolution I can get through Angie's List, but I can't wait much longer for promised redress that never comes. I hate to have to do this, but I strongly believe that a company needs to keep the promises implicit in their contracts with customers. For now, I cannot recommend this company . (Update) To this company's credit, they have in the last week sent a crew out to do the repairs I've been asking for. As of today, they are 90% finished. Super late response, but at least they are honoring their commitment to stand by their work. That counts for a lot.

Very well, a concrete wall had a crack on it that went all the way through, Paul had a good crew working with him and they finished in a day.

Steve and Colby where great and the crew was very friendly. Asked many times during the project how we like It so far. The changes due to the land slope was figured out quickly and it came out beautiful. Great company we plan on using them again if we have future projects.

Steve and his team are exceptional. They made our backyard perfect and functional.

This is the second big job I've had this company do for me - and I would absolutely hire them again. (They put in a huge paver patio for me last year.) Here's why: You know how there are always things that go wrong on a job? I've hired companies that don't take responsibility for anything once they are "done" with a given job. But Cascadia Outdoor Living Spaces stands behind their work with an honorable commitment to customer satisfaction and quality. They came back a couple of times after the job end date to fix up parts of the fences that weren't quite up to my pretty high standards - with no complaints and a great attitude. If anything goes wrong in the future, either with my patio or my fence, I have no doubt that they would come back to make it right. I should also note that Steve Higa proactively beat out another estimate I had gotten for the new fence, so I had to admire that initiative and drive to get this particular contract! So I would say: Definitely get other bids for comparison, and ask Steve to see if he can do the work for the price you want to pay.

The new patio and pergola were difficult projects in a small space. The patio was finished quickly and is perfect. The pergola required on site design changes which were both time consuming and frustrating for Steve and the weather did not cooperate. The company showed integrity and a commitment to excellence, and earned my trust. Trust is not easy to come by when you hire someone to do work for you, but in this case I can vouch for the company up front. Really love the new space, and would hire this company again.

All work was completed on schedule and under budget. Cascadia was excellent to work with and made a few adjustments during the project to enhance the final look of the patio. All additional requests that we made during the project were immediately fulfilled. Cascadia is very competent and professional without question. A great experience we will use them again for future projects.

From the very beginning we were in professional hands, Steve spent the time to properly measure every square foot and provided us an immediate price while he was onsite. Once we agreed to terms, the difficult part was waiting for our spot on the calendar, but Steve was in touch and able to get us started a bit early than expected. In a major project like this (especially with existing irrigation next to the driveway and walkways), there is always going to be a bump or a bruise, and Steve with his team were highly skilled and fixed or made any necessary repair immediately. When there was a challenge with making everything fit, he had a solution to make us happy. The best part was NO COST OVERRUN, which in my experience is rare. The project was DONE ON TIME and looks FANTASTIC!

After trying to track down someone to install a new paver patio in a very busy season without much luck, I found Steve, who actually answered his phone and came out for a quote promptly. Thankfully, I caught him in between jobs. He was professional and easy to work with the whole way through. Really neat that he showed my examples of pictures and took time to listen. His guys were friendly and polite and hardworkers! I would recommend Steve and his crew to anyone looking to install a patio or for any other outdoor needs. I now have a gorgeous patio with river rocks bordering it, a firepit, and bench seating where there once was a parking pad, a bunch of dirt, and overgrown weeds! Will be using Steve again for our artificial turf project on the other side of the yard. Thanks, Cascadia, you are amazing!

The concrete paver job went very smooth from start to finish. I met with the estimator, John, and he did a great job of explaining the different options, and providing a detailed drawing of the planned work. I received several different bids for this particular job, and Cascadia had the lowest price. (I did receive a lower bid from one other person, but they didn't have a contractor's license so they were automatically disqualified.) I appreciated that Cascadia was going to use a more premium paver product (because they thought it was longer lasting and had a more durable finish), and yet there bid was still cheaper than the other bids I received. One of the other bids I received was from a large fancy company in the area (the other company had nice website with videos, etc.), but their bid was almost double Cascadia's price so I thought that was ridiculous. It definitely pays to shop around, so you should always get at least three bids for any major work. I let the estimator know that I wanted the paver work to be completed asap, and the original start date was about a month away. However, a spot opened up on their schedule, and they were able to start and finish my job after just a couple of weeks. I met with the owner of Cascadia, Steve, several times over the course of the paver project. At the start of the project, I emphasized that I was concerned about the grading of the pavers (so that water will run away from the building), and Steve made sure that the project was graded properly. Steve was very easy to speak to and he let me know the pros and cons of the different options. It was great to be able to work directly with the owner of the business, since he made sure that the work was done correctly and in a timely fashion. Steve was also very responsive to my calls and texts. The work was completed on schedule and the finished job looks great. The concrete pavers really freshens up the look of the backyard space. I would definitely recommend Cascadia to my friends for concrete paver work.

I had a different company come in prior and install a block paver parking pad. I was unimpressed with the final result so i decided to go with a different company to replace my sidewalk. Steve from Cascadia came out and gave me a bid to remove the sidewalk and replace it with pavers as well as repair a few areas of the other companies work on the parking pad. Steve was very polite and his quote was very reasonable. The work was done quick and very well. There was one small issue, but after contacting Steve he came out took care of the issue the next day. I will be using Cascadia Outdoor Living Spaces again in the future for more stonework.

The building of the patio took about a week. A step also had to be built which connected to our deck. When the project was finally finished the patio and the step looked like a work of art. Our patio has transformed our back yard. Now we look out from our great room onto this beautiful patio!! WE ARE VERY HAPPY!! Thank you Cascadia!!

The supervisor -Mike - was great, he listened to my ideas and helped me to get the best for my job in my budget. The guys who came to do labor were great and very friendly. They worked quickly and safely around my plants and my pets. The design that Mike came up with was great and turned out so pretty! My neighbors love what they see, I love my new path and would hire them again.
