Description of Work: We have a home built in the 50's that had existing hardwood floors. We were delighted to find hardwood floors when we removed the carpet but the floor was in terrible shape. Most of the floor had cracks between the planks, in some areas it was uneven and one area didn't have any planks at all. Alex was able to patch, level and restore the floor to such a vibrant finish that it is now one of the best features of our home. He was the best priced company that I found and also one of the most professional. We were actually away on vacation while he was working on the floor. The home was left in impeccable condition. Nothing ever wound up missing and I never suspected that anything would. Alex has a strong character and from my experience is very trustworthy. Upon meeting him I didn't quite feel that he had enough experience, but after seeing how well the floors turned out I am really happy that he did the job. We are very pleased. I would highly recommend him.

+ -1 moreMr. Babko came to survey and estimate the job; then he lost my phone number and did not show up on the day specified. When I phoned, he answered and said that he could not find my phone number. He had planned to work on Mon, Tues, and Wed; instead he finished the work on Tuesday and Wednesday. They worked a very long day on Tuesday. The work was well done and at a reasonable price. He said that he would leave me a page of instructions on how to take care of a new floor; he did not. Many days later he called to say that he had been out of the instructions and that he would leave me a copy on my porch. To date (March 10th) he has not done so. I can say that the work was well and conscientiously done and that the price was reasonable, but that dealing with Alex was a bit awkward. Additionally on his original statement of price, there was no telephone number or the name of the firm. And when I asked for a receipt, he just said that he had already listed the price. Not very businesslike at all. I am ambiguous as to whether I would use him again.

+ -1 moreOverall, the installation went very smooth. Vision was out promptly when the floors were ready to cover. They completed the first floor within a day and were back within the next few days to finish the lower floor (it took the Gypcrete a little longer to dry). Vision did an excellent job of making sure that the floor started straight and did a good job of making sure the seams looked good. They also cleaned up very well which I appreciate in a contractor. I would definitely recommend Vision for flooring install.
Description of Work: We hired Vision to install all the hardwoods for our new construction home after a reference from our finish carpenter who recommended their work. Vision installed both floors with an engineered flooring that we supplied which was required over radiant floors made of gypcrete.
