We would highly recommend Glenn Schiff of Stone Pros to anybody remodeling a kitchen. As senior citizens, it has been a few years since we have been involved in a home redo. Glenn was very patient in meeting and helping us select the granite for the countertops. His professional advice was invaluable and right on target. Glenn was upfront with the costs involved and there were no surprises in the final statement. We were a little apprehensive about the possible mess from the demolition of the old granite top. The kitchen was sealed so securely that there was no dust in any other part of our home. Glenn and Michael not only confined the grime, but they were very diligent about cleaning it all up and hauling it away. All appointments were set up front and kept according to schedule, with Glenn calling an hour or so ahead of time to give us a heads up. Glenn's assistants, especially Michael, were hard workers and very professional. We felt very comfortable having them in our home and did not hesitate to leave to run errands. They were courteous and just very nice young men. We are delighted with the final product. Our U-shaped kitchen required a very long piece of granite-Just getting it in the house and in place was quite a feat. Stone Pros had all the professional equipment that was needed to do this. You have to look very closely to actually see the joining of the different pieces of granite. The installation went without a hitch. It made for a very long day for Michael, but he was determined to see it to completion and still do a final cleanup.

Overall, a great experience. Could not be better.
Description of Work: Last Saturday we have completed our gorgeous white Statuario marble kitchen with Stone Pros. Basically, Stone Pros have hopelessly spoiled us for all future dealings with other contractors. If I was their competition, I would be worried. The task of changing our 20+ year old countertops always seemed daunting and complicated - until Glenn showed up in our house for initial consultation. We spent two hours discussing our project and Glenn shared a wealth of information and talked about details that I would not even think to ask about. He immediately assessed our decorating style and when he recommended doing white marble, it was as if he was reading my mind, as marble kitchen was my dream (dream, fed by many home design magazines). The price that he has given me seemed realistic. I have had four companies come out and quote us, but I knew in my mind that the price they were giving me seemed off the mark and that I was in for unpleasant surprises. When Glenn wrote an estimate, I asked - "how much more do you think it will be at the end?" To which he answered: "This is the final price." And it was. Down to the last penny. I was writing the check on my brand new marble peninsula for the exact amount that was quoted to me two months ago. Anyway, after initial consultation, we hired Stone Pros the same evening. We felt like we were in great hands. Next day Glenn brought us a couple of large marble tiles, so we can do all kinds of tests (soy sauce and ketchup on marble, anyone?) and get more comfortable with the stone. Further, for us to be totally set on what we want, Glenn arranged for us to go see previous client's house in which they installed beautiful Calcutta Gold marble. The latter experience sealed our mind about getting marble for our kitchen. Next step was to find the stone that we will love. Glenn did all the calling around and when we realized that there was not enough Statuario marble in Seattle for our project, he actually went out of his way and found us the stone in California, while he was working on the project there. Basically, we trusted Glenn enough to spend thousands of dollars for the marble - sight unseen. Glenn picked the stone for us, sent us numerous pictures and helped set up the transportation of the material. Also, Stone-Pros had purchased another slab from the same marble bundle with their own funds, so we have a spare slab - just in case anything goes wrong with our stone. It was a huge relief to know that we have additional stone if we suddenly need one. When our marble arrived, it was glorious. Even more beautiful then we imagined. After the stone came in, Stone Pros team was moving at the lightening speed. My fears of having my kitchen in disarray for 5 months were completely unfounded. These guys work fast fast fast. No chitcahtting, no music, no being late, no leaving a mess behind - in fact, at the end of every day they worked, they left my house cleaner then before. The bottom line is - quality of work is impeccable. Marble is notoriously difficult to work with and you need a true craftsman, an experienced artisan to bring the best out of this material. After all is said and done, our kitchen looks like work of art. The corners are elegantly rounded, the laminated ogee edges have smooth lines, our island has beautiful soft rounded edge that you just want to run your hands against, the bar backsplash has fantastic "breadbasket" wave (another design recommendation from Glenn) on the side walls that add beauty and visual interest to the space. The veins of the stone are respected and extended in full height backsplash, the busier areas on the countertop correspond to busier areas on the backsplash, the corners are expertly and precisely mitered. And you have to have a magnifying glass if you want to find our two seams - the slabs are just perfectly matched to each other and positioning of seams was done in the least visible parts of the kitchen. Such minor detail as caulking has been given thought and attention, as instead of using a regular white caulking (they could have used it and I would still be happy), they used silver-colored one, which blended just perfectly into the stone. Heck, their work looks beautiful even if you peek under the countertops. The stone has been sealed 3 times and Glenn left us plenty of sealer and all-purpose marble cleaner to take care of our dream kitchen. Also, the guys left us plenty of hot plates and cutting boards made from the same stone, so we can use them for high traffic areas or during entertaining. Everything went so smoothly for such a large project, it is almost odd. No mistakes, no accidents, no mismeasurements, no "going back to drawing board," no rescheduling of times, no lapses in communication - which brings me to my next point. The speed and quality of communication that Glenn maintained was unparalleled. He was there for us and it made a huge difference from any other project I have done. Glen knew exactly what I wanted and I knew exactly what to expect, so the stress level was negligible, while the level of trust was extremely high. We want to thank Stone Pros team - Glenn, Mike and Yureal - for all their hard work and strong commitment to our project. They were there for us 110%. It is so refreshing to see this kind of businesses and young craftsmen who take such pride in their work and value their good name above all. Upon Glenn's team leaving our house on Saturday, we already discussed the next project we want to do with Stone Pros. They got themselves a customer for life. Thank You, Stone Pros.

When we moved into the house we had 2 bathrooms with granite (both different) and one without. All of the bathrooms had wood backsplashes. There was no consistency at all. Glenn came out and did a great job helping us match the granite to a similar one we had in the kitchen and advising us on options that would give us the best look for our money. He even helped us pick out the right sinks that would give us the look we were looking for. We are very pleased with the look of the bathrooms. They are all transformed and look MUCH better! I highly recommend Stone Pro's and will definitely use them for future work (probably that bar in our basement).
Description of Work: I had 3 bathroom countertops replaced with new granite, along with new sinks and faucets. Backsplashes had to be replaced as well as the old ones were wood. They look fantastic now!

We were in a very dark place before Glenn came into our lives. It was supposed to be a straight forward task - replace granite in our kitchen after a pipe burst under the house. However, it turned into anything but simple. The granite in our kitchen was replaced once, repaired multiple times, and still looked bad. That's when in desperation I went on Angies list looking for a company that could try to fix it all or at least confirm our fears that the job the other company did was not 'industry standard'. I picked Stone Pros based on their reviews. Some of the reviews said that Glenn was very capable of dealing with failed projects. I gave him a call and that's when things instantly turned around. Glenn responded immediately and came on Sunday (his day off). He knew exactly what the issues were and why they happened. He told us the granite had to be replaced because of the poor workmanship of the previous company. He validated our concerns and we finally felt understood. Glenn was the first contractor who told us the honest truth which was quite refreshing. We then let our general contractor know that Glenn was willing to take on the project. Glenn is not only a stone installer, he is a visionary. He helped us pick our granite, took the time to figure out the best way to cut it to preserve the natural beauty of the stone and, at the same time, make every piece look good in our kitchen. We followed his suggestion on installing a bigger single basin sink in front of our garden window which turned out to look more proportional to the window, not to mention a lot more spacious and workable. He let us come to his shop to look at the templates to make sure we were ok with the pieces. Their willingness to host us was a welcome surprise as our last company seemed to just want to slam in the granite and be done with it. He was personally involved with our project 24/7. His customer service was unbelievable. He also gave me a courtesy call every time he was on his way to the house. He almost always answered his phone and called right back if he was busy. Glenn and his crew are amazing. It would be really hard to surpass him in customer service, quality of work, honesty. He doesn't beat around the bush, points out potential issues, and tells you his honest opinion. Most importantly, he takes pride in his work. Thank you so much Glenn, Mike, and Sergio. If we ever need any stone work done in our home, Stone Pros would be the only company of choice.
Description of Work: Stone Pros brought our kitchen back to life after multiple unsuccessful attempts to replace and then repair our kitchen's countertops by another contractor. They helped us find new granite, took down the old granite w/o damaging the kitchen cabinets, created templates on location, and installed new granite on several countertops and backsplash. Glen personally accompanied us to the granite warehouse and helped us pick out the right stone for our kitchen. He took the time to educate us on quality and presentation and provided feedback on the several slabs that we selected as our favorite. It took us just over an hour to pick out a perfect piece of stone vs. hours searching in the stone jungle on our own previously. They made all the templates in-house carefully measuring every single piece. Then the team transfered the granite to their workshop and designed all the pieces in our kitchen to look good so that there was a nice flow between the pieces, not just randomly cut stone. Most importantly, they designed the pieces to minimize seams and put them in the most invisible places. After going to their shop and looking at their design to make sure there were no surprises Glenn suggested that we should make our bar seamless, i.e. one piece. We agreed and he called the granite shop and put a piece for us on hold and went to pick it up the same day. The bar turned out amazing. They compelted their work of art in several days vs. several months by the other company. The whole team went way beyond in customer service and expertise as well as professionalism. Stone Pros to the rescue!

Overall it was great. Glenn did come out to my home to measure and give me a quote. He was very thorough and professional. Glenn pays close attention to detail and I am sure does high quality work. I am not sure at this point who will do the actual work for me, but wanted Glenn to be my consultant on the granite which he agreed to do unhesitantly, even though he was not guaranteed the installation job. I thought that was fantastic and really demonstrated his care and concern about the customer and what ends up in their homes!
Description of Work: Glenn at Stone Pros has been terrific to work with! Very professional, kind and courteous. I used Glenn just as a consultant to help me choose my granite. He graciously agreed to meet me at the warehouse at no cost. He asked me to bring along a cupboard door from my kitchen and floor and paint colors and we set out to find the perfect granite. Glen took the time to look at and discuss various choices with me. He is very knowledge about granite and stone in general. He has a great eye for finding what works for the customer. We found a fantastic granite that I probably would not have realized was so perfect without his help. I would very much recommend Stone Pros for your granite/stone projects.

May 2011 ~ $6,000 Stone Pros did a fantastic job on the granite counter, tub deck, heated travertine floor and shower enclosure of our master bath remodel. They went out of their way to insure the project was a success, suggesting several small changes to the design (at no price change) that made the bathroom more useable. The entire crew was refreshingly polite and conscientious. Highly recommended! July 2011 ~$4,200 Due to the success of our master bath remodel, we had Stone Pros out again when we did a major kitchen remodel. Stone Pros owner, Glenn, provided invaluable advise every step of the way, from material selection to beautiful yet practical design details. They installed 3 full slabs of complex-shaped granite sections oriented in such a way as it appeared to be from one single piece of stone. We a very happy with the level of detail and precision in which Stone Pros installed our countertops. There is a very good reason why Stone Pros is still in business. March 2012 ~$650 Our third project with Stone Pros was a media center granite top. Even though the project was fairly small, the owner Glenn and his crew paid great attention to detail insuring we were completely happy with the result. They succeeded!

We contacted Stone Pros Tile & Granite to have them drill a hole in our granite kitchen countertop for an under the sink water dispenser. They were extremely responsive in getting back to us and were able to schedule a time as soon as we became available. The technicians did a wonderful job and cleaned up very well. Would highly recommend!!!

Best customer service I've ever seen! We tried to install a new cooktop into our existing granite countertop only to find the granite was too small! Based on the glowing reports I found on Angie's List, I decided to call Glenn at Stone Pros on a Saturday morning. He returned my phone call within 1 hour. My husband was leaving town for military duty the following week, so the installation had to be done before he left. Glenn was extremely understanding and came to the house to cut the countertop at 6:30pm Saturday evening. In fact, they wouldn't leave until they new the cooktop fit perfectly. I have two other projects coming up that I will (without any doubt) call Glenn. If you are looking for professionalism, integrity and customer service, this is your company. I find it refreshing to see in this day in age.

I have a significant amount of experience with construction and have dealt many, many contractors. Glen and Stone-Pros are among the best I have ever dealt with. They are super reliable and trustworthy. Due to the scale an complexity of the work involved in this project, I extensively interviewed several contractors (which included visiting their facilities and observing them work). Glen was among the most knowledgeable and was *the* most innovative in the solutions he came up with for my project. His price was middle of the pack while his quality was top of the pack. Glen has a very good eye for design, he is not just an implementor. He is very good about speaking up if he feels you are going down the wrong path. He is adept at steering you in the direction and solution that you will ultimately be most happy with. In a large project like this, glitches are inevitable. When they did run into the unexpected, Glen was very prompt with briefing me on the problem and coming to me with alternate solutions. Glen exceeded my expectations for how accomodative he was of changes in plan I requested. He stuck to their word and price even when it meant more work and expense for them and did not cut corners and compromise quality. I would highly recommend Stone-Pros.
Description of Work: Stone-Pros did a kitchen and bathroom for me. Bathroom involved two marble walls, marble steam shower, custom built undermount bathtub in stone, double undermount vanity sinks in marble. The kitchen involved a large island and several counter tops. This was a large project that utilized 10 slabs of stone. I was so satisfied with their work that I am about to engage them for taking on another portion of my project.

Glenn Schiff and his staff did an outstanding job. As noted above, Glenn accompanied us on multiple visits to the stone warehouses, and was extraordinarily helpful in assisting us in the selection of just the right granite. His attention to detail, and making sure we were satisfied were beyond our expectations. We never had a problem reaching him. In instances in which we left a message, Glenn was back to us promptly. Over the years we have used a variety of contractors, and Glenn has far surpassed them all in terms of our satisfaction. One particular expample of the quality of his work involved a seam in the granite of the large island. He literally did it in such a way, that it was practically invisible. Glenn is extremely knowledgeable, and willing to share his opinion when asked, while also being a good listener. After talking with us, he clearly understood what we were looking for, and made it happen. We are thrilled with the end result, and have continually been receiving compliments on his work from our friends. We highly recommend him without reservation, and plan to use him for work on our master bathroom.
Description of Work: Glenn Schiff of Stone Pros first met with us to listen to what our expectations were for the kitchen island, countertops, backsplash, stainless steel sink, and downstairs powder room. He then accompanied us multiple times to the stone warehouses to select the granite and backsplash material. He clearly described to us what the process would be in terms of fabricating the stone in his shop, how the installation would work, and how it would be coordinated with the other work going on in the kitchen. All work was completed on time, and with perfection.

I joined Angie?s list after having some really bad experience with a granite fabricator during the total remodel of my master bath. The previous fabricator had drilled the wrong size hole for the sink, tried to bully me into accepting their mistake, lied to me and didn't return my calls. After getting my down payment returned, I called Glen Schiff at Stone-Pros after reading his numerous ?A? ratings. What a difference dealing with Glen! Glen is truly an amazing guy who prides himself on customer service. Positive, responsive, organized, intelligent, and he has a great team! His bid for labor was similar to one bid I received and $400.00 less than the other one. I went down to Pental before contacting him, picked out a slab I liked, and put it on hold for a week. (Pental will do this at no cost.) Because of the size of the slab compared to the size and angles of my 7ft. vanity and back-splashes, I need to purchase the entire slab. Glen made what could have been a daunting task easy. When he came to make the template, I gave him a separate check for the slab, which he picked up the next day. Since the slab I had picked was shorter than normal width, he went way out of his way the next morning to make sure the template fit on the slab and could accommodate my project. He taped up the template at Pental, then called me and e-mailed me the photo immediately so I could see his proposed layout and approve it. He also suggested I come out to his shop that afternoon to see the slab and template layout in person and make sure I was happy. Another reviewer mentioned Glen?s ability to visualize and I got to see that in action. Glen is proactive and has the ability to ?see? the project completed as well as make suggestions about layout in the beginning stages. He was the first granite fabricator, out of four I talked to, who suggested the 3cm back-splash could be milled down to 2cm, which he felt would improve the look of the entire project. He was right, and a thinner back-splash has a much cleaner look than a thick one. He also figured out the best layout for my vanity on the slab. It was clear when I talked to him and viewed the slab at his shop that he had already thought through all of the possibilities for layout, taking into account the flow design on the granite. By the way, when Glen tells you he will call you that morning or afternoon, he means it. He also never put me off or directed me to talk to someone else. Glen is energetic, positive, friendly, skilled, extremely knowledgeable, and competitively priced. He and his team worked very hard to make the whole experience as easy and stress free for me as possible. Thanks to Glen and his team, my granite went in without a hitch. He?s definitely a very special guy to work with and I plan on doing so again when I remodel my kitchen and other bathrooms.
Description of Work: Glen met with me to go over my needs, measurements and made suggestions. In-home measurement for template of 7-8 ft. bathroom vanity. Glen purchased my granite slab at Pental, in Seattle, after laying out template on the slab and taking a photo to send me via e-mail, while at Pental, for my approval . Picked up slab, which I paid separately for, and transported to Stone Pros fabrication shop in Woodinville. Fabricated stone and backsplashes. Ordered rectangle sink from his supplier saving me about $100.00. Installed granite and backsplashes with Sink. I paid $1288.71 (total does not include tax but does include Glen's 10% Angie's List discount.)

I wish all contractors were like Glenn and Stone Pros - Punctual, knowledgeable, friendly with superb craftsmanship. Even more surprising was to receive this type of service for a small project. Glenn explained the entire process to us, personally joined us to help pick out the stone, and made sure everything with the project exceeded our expectations. Glenn even made an extra trip to install a different piece of stone for the backsplash because he wasn't personally satisfied with the piece originally selected. So nice having someone you can trust to have your best interest in mind - not theirs. Thanks Glenn!

We are so glad we found Stone Pros, and will gladly keep them in our file of vendors to work with again. This is the first time I have felt compelled to write a review for someone who really helped us with our problem. Thanks!
Description of Work: I had a tough problem with a granite countertop. I had existing holes for plumbing fixtures that were the wrong size and needed to be enlarged. We made many calls to try and find someone to do the work. Most vendors seemed very uninterested in this kind of work. Glenn (the owner) seemed to know what the problem was, how to fix it, and was willing and able to engage in the work. We found communicating and scheduling with Glenn easy and fast. We were in a jam and he fit us in to try and help us out with our problem and our schedule, right before the holiday.

If there were an A+ grade on AL, Stone Pros would deserve it. Before we moved into our newly purchased house, we had a lot of work done on it, and Stone Pros' excellence made even our good contractors pale in comparison. Right from the start, we had quick responses, and by that we mean, we received calls, emails or texts responses within 5 minutes of an email from us. This was not a get-your-business trick either as it continued throughout and even after the project. One time, it took Glenn 3 hours to respond and he apologized profusely for taking so long. If all our contractors could respond within 3 hours that'd be something. Anyway, we had 3 new vanities needing countertops as well as a shower benchtop and so we contacted a bunch of companies. Stone Pros weren't the cheapest, but they were able to adjust their pricing to work with our budget. With already two things going for them...acceptable pricing and very fast response times, the clincher was that they were also able to get the work done (template -> install) within 4-5 business days, and they count Saturday as a business day) whereas other companies were quoting anywhere from a week to 3 weeks. As an added bonus, Stone Pros will keep your left over stone slab for your future use (or they can make it available for purchase to other customers, with proceeds returned to you). If you're only installing a bathroom countertop, you're likely to have a more than half a slab left over and so this is a very nice benefit. After we hired them, we took another look at our overall schedule and realized that the shower bench was a limiting factor in our overall schedule and if we could somehow get the benchtop templated before the vanities were installed, we'd be able to save days. We called Glenn fearing that his schedule was inflexible, but he understood the situation and created an opening to make a special trip down just to measure the benchtop per our ideal schedule. When he got to the house, he examined the benchtop, and realized that the bench wasn't yet flush/perpendicular (basically, there were some imperfections that my other contractor had promised would be perfect). Glenn offered to measure based on these imperfect dimensions but suggested that they be corrected for a more satisfying result. This would mean another visit by Glenn, but he didn't mind, repeatedly stressing that the customer's happiness was his top priority. My other contractor agreed to fix the dimensions and Glenn was able to come back later in the day to template. The next visit was the delivery of the completed benchtop. So at this point, that's already 2 more visits than the usual 2 visits (template, then install). Then a couple days later when the vanities were being installed, Stone Pros came out to template them. They were able to work around the installation of the vanities, templating completed ones while others were being completed. They were in and out relatively quickly and everything was smooth. The next week, they came back to install the countertops as projected. Here we ran into one snafu...for the single vanity installation, the template no longer matched the vanity top. One edge was about 1/4" off. Some people are ok with 1/4" off, but to Glenn's credit, he was not. We asked around to see if anything had been changed to the vanity top since the templating, but my vanity top contractor said that nothing had changed. Glenn, while pretty sure he didn't mess up, took responsibility and told me he'd refabricate another countertop with the left over slab back at his workshop, free of charge. That was rather generous of him. Fortunately, we later found out that the vanity top contractor's fill-in the previous week had indeed inserted a useless wooden slat behind the vanity that caused the 1/4" shift. When the on-site vanity top contractor removed that slat, the template was again aligned. Other than that, installation went smoothly, even though one of our bathrooms had no lights...to which Glenn pulled out his iPhone and made it into a flashlight! And after the install, Glenn had us inspect his work. No complaint went untreated. We hesitantly (thinking we were too picky) pointed out a little speck of dust in the silicone, and he swooped in and cleaned it up and asked for more. We probably spent a good half hour finely inspecting for dust or any tiny imperfections. Glenn wanted us to be absolutely satisfied with his work, and he was willing to put in that extra effort to get us there. After the install, all seemed great...until a couple weeks later when a mirror installed by someone else came crashing down on one of the countertops. Alas, that perfect grayish countertop now had little white nicks in it. We called Glenn right away and after explaining the situation, were ready to suck up his extra labor costs to have the nicks minimized (they were so tiny that glue was not going to work). Glenn dismissed any notion of extra charges and instead said that this was all part of the price that we paid and as long as we were happy, that's all that mattered. Wow! So he agreed to come down twice, once to inspect the nicks, and a second time to fix them. Over the phone, he promised only about a 70% improvement, given the lack of repair options, but what he actually did, we'd call that 95% or better as you can't see most of the nicks, even if you were to look for them. Oh yeah, and while Stone Pros was there touching up the nicks, Glenn took time out to consult us on some other bathroom issues that we were having. Overall and specifically, a great experience. Great service (A++ for responsiveness and service), great workmanship and well worth the price (in hindsight, his original price would have been well worth it too). Given all the hiccups and schedule changes that our project had, we are so glad that we chose Stone Pros as we can only imagine the amount of resistance the other install companies would have given. 2 visits turned into 7 visits and probably more man hours required than they originally estimated, though at no point did they ever ask for more money and in fact, they refused whenever we asked. How can you ask for anything better? The only down side? Stone Pros' excellence has now forever corrupted our expectations for contractors and we fear no one else will ever live up to such lofty standards. =)
Description of Work: Stone Pros purchased two Caesarstone (quartz) slabs. Measured/templated for 2 double vanity countertops, 1 single vanity countertop and 1 shower benchtop out of them. Double vanities were pretty standard...rectangular with 2 undermount sinks and single hole faucets. 2 edges polished to eased profiles. Benchtop had 3 edges polished to eased profiles. Fabricated the appropriately sized pieces and installed them in the appropriate bathrooms. They later came back to touch up some nicks in the stone when a mirror (not related to their work) shattered on a countertop.

I called Glen at Stone Pros because of the great reviews and because I saw a similar situation like mine on another review. He answered his phone on a Sunday which I was surprised by. I explained my situation, and he gave me a price range over the phone so I would know right away what I was looking at. He then offered to come out and inspect and give me all options so that I could make the best decision. He made a special trip 45 minutes out of his way to do this. He showed up right on time and was very courteous and professional. As it turns out, he thought the best solution would be to not have him work on my granite countertop and look at an alternative. He didn't charge me a dime for his time. If I have a need in the future for anything granite, he'll be the first person I'll call. I will also highly recommend him to everyone else.

This is my second review, as the first one was not an actual job, but this one is, you can find my first review to get my whole story. Glenn is awesome!!! I called him on Monday to have him come out and install the cooktop based on some of the options he had given me, and he says, "see you tomorrow!!!" Tomorrow...not next week, not in three weeks...tomorrow. I shouldnt be suprised, as Glenn is a standup guy. There was some tricky scheduling as I was busy most of Tuesday, but he worked around me schedule again...repeat...HE WORKED AROUND MY SCHEDULE. Low and behold, he cut my tile, inserted by cooktop and fan and boom ready to go...wait, the gas wasnt hooked up...reason? I didnt have the right parts...MY fault again, NOT his...so what does Glenn do, take apart the gas line, look at my stove, give me the pieces and tells me what to say to the guy at Lowes and to show them the pieces...and 30 min later...I have a working cooktop...how awesome is that? TOTALLY AWESOME!!!
Description of Work: Installed my cooktop and downdraft...woohoo!!!

So I have had some issues trying to install my new kitchen cooktop and downdraft fan. I had a hard time finding anyone who would take a "small job" or could cut my existing tile countertop. Then I called Glenn, he answered promptly and said he would come over...that day...pause...think about that...not next week, not later on, but that day. Sure, his office isn't too far...but to have him MAKE time for me, was awesome. He was a little late...but called to keep me informed...but I didn't mind waiting, after all, he saw me on the SAME day as my phone call. Once we got into more details, he started to take apart my cooktop and fan...and then through MY fault, I screwed up, as the new fan was too slim for the existing opening. Glenn sat me through my options which I am currently mulling over...and he told me NOT to pay him...pause and read this: Glenn took time out of his day to help me right away, couldn't complete the job because of my blunder and then tells me not to pay him!!! He says he only wants to get paid for his work, not his time...that is refreshing. After I mull over my options I will definitely use him again and have already recommended him to some friends.
Description of Work: Was going to remove old cooktop and fan, cut my existing ceramic tile counter cutout to fit my new cooktop and fan.

We will definitely be calling them back!
Description of Work: We hired a cheaper contractor and are absolutely regretting it now. After being upset with the workmanship, I called Stone Pros. Glenn came to the house, pointed out the issues with our new granite countertops and seems and even took the time to discuss with us our best solutions to resolve the issues. We learned more about granite in the 30 minutes with him than weeks with our contractors. We'll be calling to have them fix our kitchen very soon.

It was a welcome relief to work with Stone Pro’s; who have a passion for excellence in every aspect of their work. As a Home Stager, former Realtor and homeowner, I’ve seen the work of many contractors over the years, both good and bad. Stone Pro’s exceeded our expectations on so many levels it is difficult to pick which aspects of their work to illustrate! When we met with Glenn, his consultation focused on honest, well-spoken opinions. The cost of the various grades of granite and/or marble was very clear and it was great to have the benefit of contractor discounts . Step-by-step assistance made each aspect of the process a breeze. On both jobs, the initial quoted price for labor was exactly was was paid when the jobs were completed. Which was surprising, considering that they had graciously performed additional work on our behalf. The fine workmanship and precise attention to detail was evidenced by seemingly seamless installation and attention to the flow within the natural patterns of the granite. Their ability to minimize the natural flaws in granite patterns was also very impressive. All in all, the work performed by Stone Pro’s was one least stressful home upgrades I’ve ever encountered. Each of the jobs were performed quickly and cleanly, with little or no impact on surrounding areas. The addition of the kitchen job was made without any prompting from Stone Pro’s and the absence of up-selling, in favor honest opinions based on what would benefit our situation was extremely refreshing. As a result of their professional input, I believe that we will have a much better chance of selling our loved one’s estate. I can’t remember the last time that working with a contractor was such a pleasure and will be forever grateful for the stellar service, reasonable prices & kindness that all the representatives of Stone Pro's showed along the way. We wish them much continued success and will continue to tell others about our wonderful experience!
Description of Work: We initially hired Stone Pro's to upgrade the surfaces and replace the sinks in two bathrooms, with one of the bathrooms requiring a cabinet replacement and creation of a double sink vanity. The cost for the two bathroom surfaces came in so under budget and went so smoothly, that we hired Stone Pro's to install granite in the kitchen and replace that sink as well!

They did a very good job at a very reasonable price. They were not the least inexpensive, but they were not the highest either. We were very pleased.

Glenn and the Stone Pros team is fast, friendly and knowledgeable. They did a beautiful job working with a challenging material. I spent about $6k on materials and labor, but ended up with much more expensive looking results. They left the house cleaner than they found it -- even shopvac-ing stone bits off the lawn! I plan to give Glenn and the guys another call once I'm ready to move on to the bathroom remodels.
Description of Work: Glenn and his team met me in Georgetown to pick out materials. We purchased the stone and ran back to the house to take measurements. It took less than a week to make the cuts and finish the edges. The counters were installed on a Saturday and were perfect. I couldn't be happier with the results.

How did it go overall? EXCEPTIONAL! My wife and I finally were ready to do something about our master bathroom and called four contractors out for quotes. Glenn and Stone Pros were the last of the four to come out and apparently we saved the best for last. Of the four quotes we received, we easily eliminated two contractors for various reasons and it came down to Stone Pros and another contractor. Stone Pros was the more expensive of the two, but we still went with them and here is why... Confidence that we would be blown away with what we were paying for. I do not want to say anything bad about the other contractor because he would have done a good job and had a good portfolio. He was less expensive and we would have been happy with what we were spending. However, with Glenn and Stone Pros, we felt that he was more than just a "tell-me-what-you-want-and-i'll-do-it" contractor. It was very apparent to us that one of Glenn's strengths was the ability to see what a project would look like before he has even started. Knowing that Glenn would not do something that he did not think was the right thing to do helped us understand the project the same way that he did. We viewed the higher cost as an "insurance policy" in that it was basically guaranteeing that we were going to love (not just be happy with) our new bathroom. If you said we gambled on the extra cost for a higher payout, then you would have to say that we won. We spent more, but got a whole lot more in return. Once we decided to go with Glenn, we setup a meeting in Georgetown to pick out and purchase our tile, sinks, and shower drain. We were able to utilize Glenn's discount and pay the suppliers directly. All other materials (including the marble slab for the countertop) was included in the price above. Glenn handled the pickup of the tile and sinks, so it was a very easy process. Aside from a detailed description for each day's work, I'm not sure what to say about the week and half duration of the project. All I can say is that it was a great experience. Glenn and his crew were clean (put down floor protection, straightened up and vacuumed at the end of every day) and trustworthy (they worked during the day while we were at work). The level of communication was beyond my expectations. Glenn would let me know virtually everyday what was going on and what to expect so that there were no surprises. Honestly, working with them was a pleasure. For as great they were, the work that they left behind is what really stands out. If I could have mapped out my expectations and what it would have taken to exceed them, they did more than even that. The level of detail that was done with each step was amazing. I really feel like the crew treated this project as if they were putting it in their own house. As an example, the edges of the shower were not aesthetically appealing because of the amount of thinnest required to make the tiles perfect -- so they went to their shop and fabricated some slab pieces to create a finished edge to the entire project. It may not sound like much, but that touch (and initiative to take care of it) really helped make the shower look fantastic. For the tub surround, they had to bevel each piece just perfectly to fit around the tub. Again, it might not sound like much but it looks perfect. Any shortcuts taken here would have been glaringly obvious and cheap looking. The attention given to tile selection and placement on the shower wall helped avoid a visually unappealing pattern. Instead, it fits well and looks great! Also, I know that they had to do some adjusting of our existing vanity cabinets to make the countertop sit correctly, but again they did what was necessary to ensure a great finished product. Regarding the fireplace surround, it was Glenn that approached me about being able to replace the tile around our fireplace (something that we wanted to do). I completed the demo, but they prepped it and installed the slab pieces. Again, the quality of their work speaks for itself. It is just another example of how Glenn and his crew went above and beyond anything that I could have expected. All of the little details and extras that were done to make sure that the job was done perfectly were absolutely more than worth the "premium" that was paid over the other contractor. For anyone reading this review, please have absolute confidence that Glenn and Stone Pros will not just do a great job, they will do an exceptional one. I cannot say enough how happy I am that we chose Glenn for our bathroom remodel. Not only will I recommend Stone Pros to anyone that will listen, I will most definitely use them again for any other project that comes up in the future.
Description of Work: Master Bathroom remodel that included a new shower, tiled tub surround, and vanity counter-top. -- Shower - demo existing shower, prep, and tile marble shower (using 18"x18" white carrara marble tiles on the wall and 2"x2" white carrara marble tiles on the floor pan - price not included above) -- Tub Surround - demo existing tile around tub, prep, and tile marble surround to match (and connect with) the shower. -- Vanity Countertop - demo existing countertop and sinks, prep, and install white carrara marble slab (price included above) with new undermount sinks (price not included above). Additionally, we also had our fireplace surround re-done with white carrara marble slab.

Extremely knowledgeable, helpful and punctual. I asked Glenn to come out to do a granite repair and it turns out our granite was too permanently damaged for the cleaning service I requested. He came out, on time, even though it was a small job (as we weren't planning on replacing the granite yet). Glenn was very honest upfront about how much he could actually get clean versus not and in the end and talked through how much it would cost to replace. He spent about 20 - 30 minutes talking to me and in the end, was not upset when I decided that it wasn't worth the money for how much he estimated he could get cleaned. Total professional!

We are thoroughly satisfied with Stone-Pros' service, products, and flexibility. The team produced countertops that fit perfectly, are without flaws, and meet all of our specifications. We will hire them again in the future. Glenn took our first call on a Saturday afternoon and visited our home for a personal assessment the following Monday. He spent a significant amount of time learning about our interests and desires, and taking initial measurements prior to competing his estimate. Glenn also accompanied us to select granite slabs for the job, providing advice and answering questions concerning granite characteristics. His suggestions and answers to our questions about granite and our design helped us improve the overall appearance and quality of our project. Glenn communicated regularly with us by email, text messages, and phone. He did not harass or push us prior to our decision to enter into a contract, but was very responsive throughout the entire process. On Monday, the team demolished and removed the existing countertops and temporarily set up our appliances and kitchen sink for use until they returned for installation. The following Friday, installation of new kitchen and bathroom countertops proceeded as planned and took a full day. On the morning of the installation, Glenn ensured he had sufficient manpower to safely unload the large island slab, bring it into our home, and install it. Glenn and the entire team were courteous and always on time. They were also totally focused on protecting our house and belongings and on cleanliness.
Description of Work: Stone-Pros replaced existing countertops in a large kitchen and the vanity top in a guest bathroom. The work included assisting us in selecting granite slabs, picking up slabs at the wholesaler, demolishing and removing our existing tile countertops, fabricating granite countertops and back splash, installing the new granite, and mounting new kitchen and bathroom sinks.
