+ -1 moreRead the contract before you sign! They wanted a year contract. I get that. I had specific questions about the "Silver Service" contract that were promptly answered. Roy told me at the door that they did a lot of work in my area currently, including some just up the street. In person and in the contract they said " this plan will include 29 visits per year". When I did the math it was 7 less visits than stated. This made the average price per visit a little high but they still seemed like professionals. When I asked about the misrepresented number of visits per year. They said, " Thank you for pointing that out we have used the same contract for years and we never noticed it." Seriously? He told me at the door that they just purchased this company a year ago. No price reduction was offered for 22 visits instead of 29/year. I am still ok with this as they seem professional and said answered all my other questions. When I asked when they could start, they said " I?m sorry to say that at this time we will not be able to provide landscape services for you. Doing it right is more important to us and our clients than over promising and under delivering." I don't believe they "did the right thing" and they had apparently realized they "overpromised" from the beginning. How many of their other customers aren't getting what the contract promised and don't realize it? Why did they even waste my time to show up in the first place if they were so busy that they couldn't take on more work? I don't usually write reviews but this encounter was very frustrating! Beware!
Description of Work: Came to the house to look at the yard. Promptly provided a written email estimate/contract to sign that included a list of what they offer and how many times a year they offer it.

+ 2 moreHe sent a preview of the design which immediately made him our choice for landscaping. His crew was very efficient, on time and on budget. The end project looked just like the preview picture or better. It is now the focal point in our back yard.
Description of Work: Landscaped backyard mound with trees, shrubs, grasses, decorative rocks and flowers. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a landscape designer.

However, they were very responsive to my request for a bid -- they came out quickly and provided me with a quote in a very quick timeframe. I would definitely call them again in the future.
Description of Work: I am getting ready to sell my house and I needed some help getting the yard ready and maintained. I requested a bid to perform regular lawn maintenance as well as some extra work at the beginning such as a little bit of weeding and laying some bark.

+ 0 moreTurf arrived before I knew the job was being started that day. Old sod was removed along with a lot of top soil & disposed of. Area was left not level. Turf was laid down later that day & part of the next. At least one pallet of turf was not used and it was disposed of by the crew without checking to see if I wanted it, thereby letting me pay for it twice the initial cost & the disposal cost.. I was charged for 5 pallets when only 4 were delivered per my own pictures. I really could have put that extra turf to good use. I was told to keep the new area damp by watering for at least an 1/2 -1 hour daily for two weeks and the owner would be out again soon to check on the installation. I have yet to notice that he has come by to check on the install. By late Summer/early Fall I was noticing weed problems and dying turf, as areas where topsoil was removed left basically sand (I live on a hill & we grow sand & rocks really well) & some water pooling due to the lumps- uneven areas. I have had to do extensive weed control and will have to reseed & lay in some top soil when the weather turns nicer for about 1/5 of the area. Right now this area is very soggy. The workers were very pleasant & I tried to make it comfortable for them in the heat by supplying cold beverages & cookies.

+ -1 moreMy garden is in much better shape than before and plants and lawn seem healthy now. Other than that they have been pretty much in the background. One incident that happened was a stone that jumped from the lawn through the mower and broke a windows. They informed me immediately and take care of it very quickly.
Description of Work: The provider provides monthly maintenance of the lawn including fertilization, annual/semi annual required repairs and caring for the shrubs and the trees.

+ -1 moreYard clean-up plus an enormous job of cutting back ivy from around my back yard and house...mostly up a full flight of stairs. Two men worked 6 hours nonstop. Hauled everything to their truck and left everything pristine. I had to call twice to the boss before he responded, but he was knowledgeable and professional; he certainly knew his business.

+ 1 moreI used Angie's List to find new maintenance and initial cleanup because my old provider stopped showing up. The old company kept billing me,but they wouldn't show up unless I called and then only once. I had to canceland my yard was a huge mess by the time I cancelled. Perfect touch came out and gave me an estimate after reviewing the current state of my lawn (front and back). They offered solutions and gave me a quote. They did everything that they said that they would do, and even called to ensure I was satisfied before the final billing. I was very satisfied with their professionalism and the work that was done. They continue to do on-going maintenance for me. FYI -- l don't recall the actual dates... date above is approximate.

The cost reflects hand weeding which is more intensive work and a $70.00 discount via an Angie's List Coupon. I appreciated the time Alexander spent explaining what his crew would perform and how. He even followed up after the work was complete to see if their work had meet with my satisfaction. The crew took good care of my property. I can now take over yard care on my new home without being overwhelmed by weeds.
Description of Work: One time clean up of yard. Hand weed flower beds, rake, prune shrubs, mow, trim and edge lawn and prune perennials.

Booking this job was very easy - Alexander called me back right away and came out promptly to review the work and provide a quote (which was quite reasonable especially considering the very high quality of work they do). Along with the quote, he gave me lots of great advice on steps I could take to make my landscaping even better. His standards for excellence are the same as mine which I really appreciate. The crew arrived when promised and worked very systematically and carefully with each step to be completed. They worked extremely hard throughout a very long day and were friendly and accommodating throughout the process. Miguel is a master with the pruner on the ornamental trees! They worked a very long day and then came back the next day (Saturday) for a short time to finish up and make sure everything was perfect. I really appreciate their work and the attention to detail. Another great experience. Updated 6/2014 I've called and e-mailed this spring to get help with pruning, mulch, etc. I have gotten no response whatsoever despite the fact that I'm a repeat customer. Not sure why this has occurred but it has definitely affected my opinion of the company.
Description of Work: Complete spring clean-up of front and back yards including pruning, weeding and spreading 8 yards of mulch. Our lot is only 9,000 sf but I have many shrubs and small trees to prune including numerous pom-pom and spiral evergreens which require a lot of time and care to get them just right.

+ -1 moreAlexander and his crew showed up on schedule to update some long overlooked landscaping. Alexander explained what he thought needed to be done, and since we are not exactly green thumbs, we pretty much went with all that he suggested. The crew got started and we left town for the night and came back to find the work completed and the result was far beyond what we expected. Our only regret is that we didn't do something like this much sooner. We've received compliments from neighbors and one asked if we were getting ready to list the place for sale. All the shrubs were trimmed up and pruned down in some cases, the new expanded beds were trimmed up perfectly and the new plants are a big improvement to what was removed. Bottom line is that we got a whole new look at what we considered to be a very fair price and will have Perfect Touch back again when it's time for a trim.
Description of Work: Pruned shrubery, created new planting beds and borders, removed some old plants and planted new. Power washed sidewalk, driveway and entry. Weeded and mowed.

+ 2 moreThe job couldn't have gone better. Communication was good prior to arrival and work was performed on a Saturday which was above and beyond in my book. I wasn't expecting mowing given how wet the grass was, but it was a concern of mine because it had been neglected for quite some time. Perfect touch not only mowed the grass I watched them fluff it up by hand and mow it again. Amazing. The hard surfaces have never looked as clean and sharp as they do now, the shaping of ornamental shrubs, bed clean up, edging, everything was done to perfection as though they were working on their own property. They take pride in their work and it shows. Honestly I couldn't be happier, they were able to accomplish in a day (a fairly dreary one all things considered) what other providers have taken weeks to do. They were efficient, professional, clean and every action was deliberate and coordinated not a lot of going over the same area multiple times because one job fouled a previous one, etc. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: February: When we called Alfredo to come out to our home and give us three quote, we agreed on a time and not only was Alfredo prompt but he is very courteous and knowledgeable about perennials –which is about 90% of my garden, and in February the plants are “just” starting to poke out. Our property is about 1.5 acres with the back fenced area that was grass, trees, blackberries, salmon berries and some native plants. The front has the gardens, lawn and rockeries. Alfredo gave us a quote on cleaning the front (all the beds which were a MESS, trimming and cutting back of trees, bushes and removing any blackberries, cleaning out our three rockeries, pressure washing a patio, walkway and blacktop, removing all the grass from the root area of all our trees, cut and edge our lawn (which is in five different areas). Our second quote was to remove the blackberries from the back along-side the fence which was an area of 300’ x 20’, cut back all the salmon berries, cut back all the suckers from all our trees but leave the native plants. We agreed with Alfredo’s quote and all this work was accomplished in TWO DAYS!!! Not only were we both amazed at how much was accomplished he and his crew were just the BEST and our place looked better – all at one time – than it had ever looked in the seven years that we have lived here! We are very fortunate to have such a gorgeous piece of property, and with Alfredo and his crew, we were able to see and enjoy the beauty. Our third quote was to maintain the front with a bi-monthly maintenance– this includes, cleaning the beds, the rockeries, and mowing/edging the front in the five places. Alfredo also told us that they would come to maintain on a certain day and time, and each and EVERYTIME they are here on that day/time. We just love driving into our home and walking the property now. We do not kill ourselves every weekend to keep everything looking just OK…I can “just garden” and enjoy! We not only recommend Alfredo we are also sooooo thankful for his abilities, professionalism and follow through!

I called him back a few days later and asked him to come to the site and give us an estimate. He showed up promptly. While onsite he offered many good suggestions. He and his crew showed up 4 days earlier then planned and had all the work done before the original planned start date. He and his crew worked very long and hard days. They were very professional. They cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. I am a very satisfied customer and will do business with them in the future.
Description of Work: - Removed grass and added a 20x30 crushed rock parking area - Edged and mowed entire lawn - Added 2' mulch perimeter around entire lawn for planting - Planted 25 arborvitaes along the road to create a natural fence - Made a raised flower bed with pavers. Description of Work: They re-landscaped front yard with new plants (removed) large older juniper shrubs. Total pruning of older plants all around home and complete cleanup and barking of all areas. We are very pleased with the great improvement of our complete property.

+ -1 moreCalled to inquire about doing a clean up of yard for winter including mowing, and edging of all concrete pathways, fence lines and etc. Without knowing the size of my yard or anything, he said he not would come onsite to do an estimate for such a small job. Has to be $200 to $300 job to even come and do an estimate. Told me to go somewhere else.

+ 1 moreThe team got us onto the schedule quickly, arrived on time and were very professional. One of the reasons why we chose Perfect Touch was mainly because their business description seemed to suggest that they had expertise with classic/formal garden pruning techniques and a passion for healthy plants. Our results certainly proved that to be true! In the past we had hired landscapers who were very pleasant and quoted us great rates--less than half of what we paid with Perfect Touch--but in the end, some of our older plants just appeared kind of hacked vs. pruned and thinned. We are really pleased with the results and found out in the days after that our 2 neighbors had asked for business cards so clearly the work speaks for itself! I gave Perfect Touch a B for price only because the cost of hauling debris was more than we expected and added significantly to our total bill. That's really not the fault of Perfect Touch--they were very clear on the rates for hauling debris, however adding a rough estimate of what to expect would have prevented some sticker shock. Having said that, Alexander, the owner, was very attentive and pleasant to work with and we very much look forward to hirung Perfect Touch for monthly visits to maintain the look and feel of our gardens which look fabulous.
Description of Work: We had a great experience with Perfect Touch. We have a late 50's home with LOTS of plants and oversized topiary shrubs and trees. They performed the following to our property: Handweeding of all of landscape beds Lawn service front and back--edged entire lawn Pruned 17 trees Pruned and thinned branching of all shrubs Raked , vacuumed, blew out clippings, collected debris and hauled away 6 cubic yards of plant debris.
