No response, not even a no thank you. Nice quote and some nice reviews, but they are not rated an A for customer service as far as I'm concerned.

Excellent! They were prompt, professional and well prepared to move a piano. They were so efficient that it only took them about 10 minutes from the time they arrived to the time they left with the loaded piano - but the process was very very smooth and professional.

Description of Work: Arrived on time, 2 guys loaded efficiently, unloaded efficiently. Very patient while I made up my mind about the final placement in the room. Even gave me some good tips on when to have the piano tuned. This was a 6'1" grand, moved 5 miles. They were great, very professional. Martinson is my go-to firm for piano moving in the future.

They were awesome. They showed up on time, quickly assessed the challenges, and set things up to be sure the move went swiftly. They asked great questions about the destination so we could have things ready for the move. They were efficient and knowledgeable about pianos. I'd definitely hire them again.

Description of Work: The crew showed up 10 minutes before they were scheduled to show up and immediately got to work. They accurately determined what needed to be done, and the whole crew worked together flawlessly to quickly get my piano moved and in place. Even when they ran into an issue that required that a couple of the guys come back that had taken off, they quickly got them back onsite and resolved the issue in a positive and friendly fashion. Throughout the process, they showed a high level of regard for both my piano and my home, and all of the crew (there were 5), were friendly, professional and clearly hard workers. The whole experience was truly exceptional.

Description of Work: They moved our piano from an upstairs dining room to a lower level living room. I was very happy they could provide service for this time of move (within the house rather than across town). They were prompt, efficient and very careful with our piano. I would definitely use them again if needed.

My daughter observed the move. The movers showed up promptly at the first location to move a baby grand piano. The movers were courteous, professional and extra careful with the piano. They transported it by truck to my residence and placed it in an appropriate spot. The movers then loaded up a second piano at my home and transported it 30 miles to my daughter's home, which has several stairs. All went smoothly. Nothing was damaged.

They were very professional - took good care of the piano. Crew chief was Darren and he clearly had a lot of expertise. I saw the turn in the stairwell and thought and quot; There is no frickin way.and quot;, but they took their time and had a plan, and did it without any damage to piano, townhome walls, or themselves. It took 4 guys on that end. They had to move it out of my house, drive 35 minutes, then up the difficult stairs at the townhouse. The entire cost was $335, which I thought was more than fair. I gave them a $65 tip to make it an even $400, but they weren't blatantly looking for the tip like some movers do. The U5 piano is an expensive piece, and I was glad I used them rather than some general moving company that claims they could do it. I actually first tried to contact several companies found here on Angie's that were closer to me, and couldn't even get them to return my calls or emails. So I sort of turned to Martinsion's by default, but am so glad I did. VERY SATISFIED. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Description of Work: They moved a large upright Yamaha U5 piano, weighing 535 lbs, from my home to my daughers 35 minutes away, and up a narrow stair case to the 2nd floor of a townhome.

Went very fast and smoothly. Fast is good because your cost is dependent on their time. The actual cost was right on the quote they gave me over the phone. Three people showed up, two to move the piano, the third to help them navigate, useful in close quarters. The piano we moved to another room had only an inch to spare to get through a doorway and they made it without touching. They were extremely good at moving pianos and very professional. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Jay was extremely helpful, and crew professional. And talk about accommodating! Short notice yet Jay did what he could and so did his crew. Thank you so much!
Description of Work: Long story short my ex explained he knew it was short notice by he needed my piano out of his house before Saturday. I called Martinson Piano at 10 in the morning on Friday. Jay answered and I explained I was really hoping to find someone who might be able to move a piano for me the same day. He called me back within 5 minutes saying his crew could fit me in between deliveries; they would call me 15 minutes ahead, meet me and move the piano, THE SAME DAY! Fantastic!

When I called Martinson, I ended up playing phone tag for a bit before I could schedule, which is the only reason that I gave this company a B anywhere. The movers were early, they had my sister's upright piano loaded onto a dolly, out of my house and on its way to her new place in 15 minutes. The didn't leave a mark and were professional and courteous. It was a good experience overall and I would definitely recommend them.
Description of Work: They moved a heavy, antique upright piano from my house in Renton to my sister's house in Snohomish. The cost does vary based on mileage and whether or not you have stairs. Both houses only have a single step up.

I spent about $360 on their services. I give them the highest marks. They are a little pricey but it's worth it. The quality was fine. It was good. Their responsiveness was good. I will certainly use their services again in the future.
Description of Work: I used Martinson Piano Moving and Storage. I last used their services sometime in the mid of September, it was on a Tuesday for piano moving. They actually moved the piano to me. They brought it from another city, and transferred and brought it up to my apartment.

It took 5 guys and a sliding wooden board to do it, but they got the piano into the second floor of my townhouse without any damage to piano or residence. They were very professional and exceeded my expectations for punctuality and professionalism. I would definitely use them again.

Jay was most helpful in coordinating two piano moves. The company sent someone to the first location to determine if the driveway was accessable. He asked several questions to prepare for the move and to help determine a cost estimate. Jay accommodated our work schedule and though not the most ideal day, arranged to pick up and transport the pianos on a Friday. My daughter met the movers at the first location and oversaw the entire transfer of both pianos. She said the movers were quick, careful, prompt, courteous and professional. I was a bit worried because she is a tough customer, so if she said this company was excellent, then they're rating should be off the chart! The price was within my own estimate.

They did padding everywhere around the piano. They adjusted the placement of the piano based on what we wanted. They helped us to effectively try out different orientations of the piano and see how it looks and all that kind of stuff. They were patient and very organized. They put their tools in the padding so that it doesn’t cause any problem and they can get it. It is a good thing in the sense that they were very careful. Our piano didn’t have any scratches at all. In comparison to quotes from another service provider, their price was good.

Martinson Piano Movers were recommended (and paid for) by the seller/builder of my grand piano. I called Martinson to schedule the move; they coordinated with the seller for pick-up and called me back to ensure the delivery time would work for me. Upon arrival at my home, three movers quickly carted the piano in, taking care to protect my doors, the hardwood floors and stairs, as well as the piano. They asked me many questions to ensure the piano was positioned where I wanted it, then ensured everything was working well before they completed the job. The entire process took less than 20 minutes. The movers were friendly, courteous, and patient.
