Very friendly and helpful. Answered a lot of my questions about general maintenance.

Timely professional work and expert advice. Provided options and risks and was generally very helpful. Greatly appreciated the detailed information and recommendations, as I've not needed to deal with septic system problems previously

Began experiencing backflow through a downstairs bathtub drain whenever dishwasher ran, washing machine went into spin cycle, a toilet flushed, etc. Found Lakeside on Angie's List. Scheduled an appointment directly with Rick. He arrived right on time, and quickly determined that though the tank was full and needed pumping, there probably was also a blockage in the soil pipe entering the tank. He recommended a plumbing firm to investigate that problem. That firm responded and found a major blockage in pipe. Problem corrected. Re-contacted Rick to again schedule pump-out. Very accomodating to my work schedule. Set up a time between 9-10AM. On day of appointment, he called while enroute to say he would arrive about 9-9:15. Due to the lay of the land, Rick needed to lay about 110 feet of hose through our neighbor's backyard (with their prior approval, of course). He then worked, without stopping, for over two hours, breaking up the scum, adjusting the hose, and finally clearing the tank. Upon completion, hose removed, area around riser washed down, and whole area back to original condition. Overall, we had the best possible outcome, correcting a situation that I had created due to neglect. When a house on a septic system esperiences a problem with said system, that problem becomes very important very fast. Rick/Lakeside corrected that problem as quickly as possible.

Septic tank was full and called for a service. In between the call and service date the tanks overflowed. Called Rick and he came out within a couple of hours - filter was clogged - he cleared it to get us back in business and then serviced the tank at our regular appointment. Great about walking me through how the system works, issues he saw with some tree roots and ways we could keep the system running better. When I first called to inquire about setting up service, Rick picked up the call immediately and fit me in the very next morning. He was very polite and professional over the phone and was very much so in person as well. Seems to be a kind and friendly guy. He showed up on time and didn't gripe about having to turn his rig around to negotiate our septic access. His truck and outerwear were extremely clean, which isn't always the case with septic companies--I don't know why they think this won't concern customers! Rick was very careful with his truck placement and maneuvering on our gravel incline. He pays attention to the details, which isn't my experience with my former septic servicemen. I had exposed what I thought were the two tank lids before he arrived; however, it turned out one lid was an old one that had been buried by the previous servicemen after a replacement swap. Rick offered to find and expose the second lid, except that he had just injured his shoulder, so he offered to return the next day. However, upon my request, he was able to locate the lid and loaned me his shovel, and I quickly did the job myself while he got the hoses set up. No problem! It turned out the tanks were over-filled due to a damaged baffle that had not been properly repaired/installed by the previous company. The system wasn't flowing or leaching. Rick pumped the tanks completely, pulled and cleaned the filter, replaced the baffle pipe using 4" PVC I had on hand (no added cost!), reaffixed the T-joint properly and securely, and installed a new connector, which he had on hand. Considering the extra work and materials required, the repair cost was very reasonable. Rick has experience as a septic installer, so he was knowledgeable about proper construction of the baffle and filter pipes. The last company mixed materials and jerry-rigged the baffle, which did not hold. Who knows how long it had not been functioning! Rick also noticed a small clear water leak coming from the house and suggested efficient ways to determine location & remedy it. He thoroughly cleaned the area and reset the lids, and offered to place the old broken parts in the garbage for me so I would not have to handle them. Rick noted that the septic tank itself was an outdated design and instead of insisting on replacing it at a huge cost, he shared maintenance ideas that would avoid future problems. He suggested a filter cleaning protocol and schedule we could perform ourselves, and provided a reminder sticker for the next pumping. All in all, my experience with Rick & Lakeside Septic was very pleasant and reassuring. I trust Rick to be honest and reasonable with us, and we will hire him for our septic needs from now on.

We were delighted with the service and I was impressed with Rick's responsiveness and professionalism. The price was fair and Rick was easy to work with. When there was a follow-on issue he covered it quickly and fairly. He also obtained drawings of our septic system from the county and emailed me a copy so that I can better understand the system (which was built 20 years ago). That was great! I would DEFINITELY call Rick if I needed help again with my septic system.

I went on Angie's list and found Lakeside Septic, I needed a certification on a septic done yesterday. (: They were able to come the next day and politely. He arrived on time and went right to work. Was very polite and professional. He helped fix a problem, pump the tank and certified it in only a couple hours. He answered all my questions and cleaned up well. I rate him excellent. Rick was great. He came immediately to resolve our problem, then came back as soon as he could to pump the tanks. Exceptional customer service, and Rick was very professional and knowledgeable. I will be a repeat customer, and I highly recommend Lakeside Septic.

Our son had recently purchased a home and there were issues with the septic tank. Since he was working, he asked us to find a company and meet the person at his home. We found Rick on Angie's List and liked the reviews. We met him at our son's home where he listened to the septic issues. Rick pumped the tank, pumped the drain lines, inspected the tank, D Box, and drain lines. The drain field was not working. Rick explained all of the options to fix the problem and referred us to a contractor. From our experience with Rick and his company, we decided to use him for our own septic tank needs in the future. 400 r

I was desperate to find someone to clean my pump tank after several days of problems relating to the pump, and needed to get the pump tank cleaned on the same day I was calling so the electrician could change the pump. I called several companies and left messages. Rick at Lakeside not only called me back right away, he routed by my house on the way to another job because he listened to my needs. While he was here, he identified a filtering problem and how to fix it, cleaned the pump tank and helped to troubleshoot my entire system, making sound recommendations to solve the issues we were having, as well as addressing future maintenance needs. I called the next day with an additional question, and even though it was his birthday and a weekend, he called me back and walked me through solving the problem. I would not only use his service again, I would highly recommend it.

We needed a septic pumped asap to sell a clients home and Lakeside was able to come out the next day to pump. They showed up at the scheduled time, dug up the hole, pumped, inspected, and wrote up a certification. Very good experience.

Called for Septic Service (pumping) for both myself and my neighbor. Agreed on date and price ($75 less than everyone else) and they showed up promptly and professionally. Had no issues what-so-ever. They explained everything (including that my access panel wasn't up to code) and pumped it quickly and efficiently. He then serviced my neighbors septic system (found minor problem but was easily remedied) and had completed both houses in under two hours. Both my neighbor and I plan on using them for future service with out septic systems.

Rick is efficient and very professional and he makes sure what the last guy didn't finish doing is also taken care of. He arrived promptly and was done within the hour. I would highly recommend him!

I am very impressed with the service that Lakeside Septic provided. He was honest, hardworking, and efficient. He informed me as to what he was doing, and thoroughly answered all of my questions. He was able to come out less than 24 hours after my original call. He was really clear up front about the costs (for instance it costs extra if he has to dig up a lot of dirt to get to the tank, which was reasonable). He was knowledgeable, proffesional, and passionate about having it done right. I will absolutely use him in the future. Even better, I will sleep better tonight knowing, that for the first since we bought our house, I am confident our septic system is in the best shape it can be in.

Rick was able to come earlier on the day we had appointed. He called first to be sure it would be OK to arrive early. He was very professional and did not try to sell us any extra services. He cleaned up completely after the job was finished, cutting the sod away from the tank cover in such a way that he was able to replace it with almost no evidence that the grass had been disturbed. No damage to adjacent rose bushes or any other plants or structure. After he completed the task he knocked on the door to tell us what he had done. He was professional in his demeanor and explained that we should probably have had the tank pumped a little sooner than we had, but that everything was fine with our tank. He also suggested that if the number of people in our household remained stable then we should have it pumped again in two years. I intend to use him again in two years to perform the service.

No issues or problems. Quick, friendly, professional service and provided advice on usage based pumping frequency that will save me money in the future. A job well done.

Rick was a true proffesional who did the job right the first time. He could of left the old pipes he found in the bottom of my septic tank and I would of been none the wiser but he got them out of there. He instructed me on the proper care and maintainence of my system and took out a filter that had been placed incorrectly saving me the possoble cost of a backup of sewage into my basement. I would recommend him to anyone who wants the job done right the first time!

I have been having septic alarms for a long time, and had a septic design/repair company (Septic Technology) out to find out what the problem was. Septic Technology recommended Lakeside to pump out the tanks so we could inspect them. Rick arrived with his pump truck at about 10 a.m. and left at about 1 p.m. He pumped out both the septic tank and the pump tank (holding tank between the septic tank and the sand filter).He is efficient and knows what he's doing, is pleasant to work with, and is very helpful with ideas and recommendations. He even emailed me the photos of the internal tank damage taken with his cell phone. I recommend him highly.

Called Thursday to spchedule septic tank pumping asap. Had no availability until Saturday but took contact information and said he would try to squeeze into his full schedule. Rick called 45 minutes later with a gap in his schedule and he was at our house 30 minutes after that. Did a great job!

He was responsive on the phone and gave an estimate. He stated he would arrive between 8 - 9 but did not arrive until a little after 9. He came in did the job and was very polite.

Rick was professional from the start. We discussed the job before he came, and he called the day before to confirm the appointment. We met at my home, and I gave him the history and location of the septic tank. He performed the work and replaced the ground cover as it was found. The need for an extra part required that he come back a day later to replace that. This required moving and replacing the ground cover again. Rick provided recommendations on frequency of clean out relative to the number of people living in the house and what should/should not be planted above the tanks. He also mentioned new county laws governing septic system inspections. (I do not have good things to say about King County or our representatives). Overall, my dealings with Rick were very good.

Rick was very nice and explained things in detail. He helped me locate my red/light green light alarm for if it gets plugged - which I didn't know we had or where it was. New Owner of house and never had septic before. He showed up on time, had quick scheduling for getting in and took care of business snap, crackle pop :)

I've been using Rick's service for well over 15 years and have been very satisfied. He only has to come out every 3 years but I've always been able to count on the quality of the service and a prompt response. This last service, he had to reschedule once, but worked with me to be sure the date and time was convenient for me. He works fast, is efficient and very professional.
