 + -1 moreIn House never showed and a subsequent technician found the actual problem and fixed it at a much lower price. Be careful with In House - they won't show for scheduled appointments and they can get the problem wrong but charge you for it.
Description of Work: Two lights needed fixed. The technician incorrectly assessed the problem and charged for this and then scheduled an appointment a week later and never showed nor did he call.

 + 0 moreThings went great. Don Dequilletes was prompt, courteous, and efficient and has a great cheerful personality. He came on the day (Friday) before I moved and got quite a bit done and came back the following Monday to finish stage 1 of my list. I plan to have pot lights installed in 2 rooms in the future and intend to use In-House Electric Services for that as well.
Description of Work: I just moved into a new condo and have a long want list of electrical items. To start with I had the electrician put in 2 new specialized duplex/HDMI/COAX outlets to hide the wiring for AV equipment over the fireplace and near the floor, add a floor outlet in the middle of the living area so I could plug in table lamps, and add extra LED lighting in my garage ceiling. In addition, he also moved my thermostat which was interfering with furniture placement. In the future, once I am settled and have my artwork hung, I plan to have several pot lights added in 2 rooms. There may well be additional items added to the ongoing list.

 + 1 moreExcellent. Sergeii looked at the flood lamp I had partially installed, but could not flush mount. He then quickly finished that lamp and replaced the other lamps with the new lamps, making the kitchen area much brighter than with the old lamps. We then discussed the costs and pitfalls of installing a new ceiling fan with light. Eventually my wife and I decided not to replace the existing fan.
Description of Work: Upgrade 6 ceiling LED flood lamps to more modern, brighter LED flood lamps with parts I supplied. Advise me on replacing existing ceiling fan with one that has a light.

He figured it out in minutes. He was very personable and a very nice person. It was a very good price. We were totally happy with it, it was amazing. We've had no problems with it at all.

 + -1 moreThey put the wrong light switch in the wrong place, so I had to get someone else to come fix it the next day. Their Angie's List deal was $79 for an Electrical Service Call. I called them to verify what that would include (the labor for the repair.) They didn't really answer but showed up and told me the Angie's List deal was old and shouldn't be on there. They then charged me $261. But the ad continued to run until March 16th.
Description of Work: They replaced a door fixture and four light switches.

 + -1 moreIt turned out to be a faulty outlet in a spare bedroom. In-House Electrical troubleshooted the problem and replaced the outlet all under the service-call deal I'd purchased. The electrician was prompt, professional and got the lights back on without breaking the bank. Mom was thrilled and we definitely would use In-House Electrical again!
Description of Work: I purchased a Angie's List service deal hoping to get to the bottom of an electrical issue at my mom's house. We had no clue what was causing several outlets to not work and feared there was a major wiring project in her future.

They advertised a discount for an estimate on Angies List, which I bought. They didn't charge for the estimate, since they did the job right away, and they did refund the money that I paid Angies List, but no discount was given.
Description of Work: Connect one end of an existing electric wire to the electric panel in the house and the other end to an outdoor waterproof outlet on the patio.

For issue 2, he managed not only to make the switch back to work, and also change the function of the other switch as customer's request. Totally fulfilled my expectation. Did not show up. Contacted via phone, got ahold of scheduler (rather than electrician) who scheduled it; electrician then showed up as scheduled. Frustrating as I had to have this fixed before putting house on market and moving out of state. Had to delay leaving to meet electrician.
