Transparent, educational, phased approach and great service. We needed two bait stations and otherwise insect control on a house that was neglected for half a year. Looking forward to seeing the results but so far it’s been quieter and less sightings. Signed up for quarterly service - Guard makes it so easy.

Great! Would recommend and use again if needed. Kevin was prompt, knowledgeable and prepared. Performed the work efficiently. Friendly about answering my questions and discussing the services available. Not overly aggressive about pushing regular maintenance contracts like some companies are. Good communication all the way thru the appointment and service process. Thank you! Pricing appeared to be on par/mid range with other local companies. Slightly higher than some, lower than others. But overall worth the level of service to support family-operated local business.

We had a pest infestation a few years ago. We hired Kevin at Guard Pest Control to get rid of pests, and we have him or one of his employees service the property quarterly. Guard Pest Control always lets us know ahead of time that they are coming, and they always ring the bell to let us know that they are here, with a friendly smile on their faces. We have always been pleased with their services, and would highly recommend.

In searching for a pest control company, I submitted requests for estimates from about 7 companies. In doing due diligence, I researched each company with the Department of Labor for complaints (OSHA), registration with state, etc. Guard Pest Control was the ONLY one registered with the State and had a clean record. Wonderful; very customer service oriented; very responsive; very timely. They listened to our questions; were very thorough explaining everything to us. Did not bring up signing a contract which others did.

Kevin, did a great job. He explained how the mice were getting in and pointed out where I needed to plug holes in my two story house. They are great. They spent lots of time walking around to find out spots that they get in. If they have rats they are just the people to call. They were very good. There was very good communication. They are very thorough.

After reading wonderful reviews, I visited the company's website where it was advertised to call for a free estimate. I was informed that to have someone inspect the area would cost $150 and if treatment could be performed, it would be the same $150. But, if for some reason it was something that could not be treated by them, I would just pay $150 for the inspection. Either way, whether I had inspection and treatment or just an inspection, I would come away with spending $150 regardless. Where's the free estimate? It's in the phone call. It's an "over-the-phone estimate" and "this works for most of our clients." Thanks Katie, but no thanks. Have your webmaster fix your website advertising and change it to " 'over-the-phone' free estimates."

He was able to respond that afternoon. Arrived at appointed time. Was informative as to the process and how it worked. He guaranteed the work. Have alreadyrecommended him to two acquaintances.

He has a lot of integrity and I would hire him again. He is honest and he cares about what he is doing. He cares about his customers.

Kevin was quick to respond to my inquiry and came out the next day. Clearly explained what he would do to rid my house of yellowjackets and made sure I had all questions answered. Told me if they were still around in a week, he'd return for free. One week later and they're gone! I'd use him again without reservation!

We had many wasp nests in very difficult to reach locations on our home, and came to the conclusion that we needed a professional to get the job done. Kevin was just that person! He was punctual, friendly and very knowledgeable. Since this treatment, the wasps are no longer an issue. I also appreciated the fact that he gave me pertinent information and answered all my questions, but did NOT try to sell me other services. I will definitely be using him again if ever the need should arise, and would highly recommend him to others. If you want the job done right, and don't care for "hard-sell" tactics, he's your guy!

It went extremely well. I was amazed at how affordable it was. He is so professional. As he finished up, he walked around the house and noticed a couple of bee hives underneath the eves of my home. He explained that I had a couple of little nests underneath the eves of the house. He removed these spots as a courtesy. I am very impressed with the quality of work from this independent business. I am impressed that he wanted to do what was right. I am so very happy with the business and service that was performed.

Kevin was punctual, friendly and informative. I had him treat a carpenter ant infestation in a large workshop building in addition to spraying around my house. Kevin said it could take up to three weeks to kill all ants but I would say that 99% were dead within a week. I was shocked at how many dead ants appeared on the floor over time. Kevin delayed spraying outside until the rain stopped to ensure the effectiveness of the treatment. I am very pleased with the results.

OUTSTANDING!. If Angie's List had an A+ grade, I would give it to Kevin and Guard Pest Control across the board!! Kevin was on-time and very professional. He asked a lot of questions so that he understood the situation before he started his inspection. During an extremely hot day, he spent an incredibly long time working and doing a very thorough job. Kevin found old evidence of activity, but nothing recent. A couple of very, very minor access points were identified and he explained to me how to address them. Kevin took time afterward to explain what he did, what he looked for and what he found. There was no up-sell. He even knocked down a wasp nest and did not charge me. Our overall experience with Guard Pest Control was very positive. We contacted Guard on Monday with a request for service, and they came the next day. They explained the charges up front and offered the Angie's list discount ($50 off). They also carefully described what they would do then got it done within an hour. Very professional and courteous, and they did not try to sell me anything other than the service I requested. I don't look forward to issues with pests, but if/when it happens I look forward to working with this company again. Highly recommended, a really good outfit.

Kevin has been to our house a number of times to treat for ants...It appears they might be finally gone. It was a little frustrating at first, that he had to keep coming back but I know the type of ants we have can be hard to get rid of. Regardless, he always returned my phone calls and came back promptly with a good attitude. He even credited us for our first quarterly service for the inconvenience and loss of food we sustained due to the ants being in the kitchen. His professionalism is a nice change from other contractors, in different categories, that we have spoke to from Angie's List. Thanks Kevin!
