I really applaud the contractor's honesty as it would have not been too difficult to pretend to do the work and pocket the amount paid. Based on their honesty, I'll be using this company very shortly to perform some handyman type work around the house.

Description of Work: Pressure wash a deck and a parking area. Not all of the dirt was removed so subsequent scrubbing was necessary. In fairness to them, they conducted the work in the midst of a terrific downpour and perhaps the weather conditions obscured their vision.

It clear at the time that we'd need to pay more than that amount as we live in a larger house than the deal was for but it still looked like reasonably good value. My initial scheduling request was unanswered but Chinook came back promptly with an apology after I sent a follow-up email. Two lads turned up right on time and (in pretty unpleasant conditions) did the job quickly and left no mess at all. I'll be happy to use their services again.

Could get buy without the cat trim from the company. installed tall lights in 10 ft ceilings and many more things. Great on working with me. I am thinking about using them for a bath remodel.
Description of Work: They did a full list of things that took two people to do that I could not do myself - moving and removing mirrors and pictures.

Very prompt, polite, professional, easy to talk to and explain what I needed, and finished in good time. It was a super fun bargain, well worth the time. They also clean roofs and windows, so I think they can be my service for that too. it was all great.

Ā + -1 moreThey came in and said its a lot more than this because my house is a lot bigger than the $149 deal and they only did half of it, they wanted to charge me like 1600 and I said I'm not going to pay that and they said that's what its worth and I said I am not going to pay that so we ended up splitting it, they did the outside, they didn't do the inside, so I ended up paying about $800 on that deal. So, I felt a little abused on that deal. It was like a loss leader for them so they weren't going to do anything for $149. I kind of felt I should have asked them to do $149 worth and then stop, but I didn't and I should have. I am not going to do that with window cleaning anymore. They did a good job, but the price I felt was a bit of a gouge, or maybe it was accurate, I don't know, maybe I have been paying less than I should have all these years, I don't know.

Ā + 0 moreSee above. I think they got so involved in looking at the gutter problems, taking pictures and so on they lost sight of their purpose for being there. However, they fortunately were honest in telling us later that the gutters had debris in them and then took care of them.
Description of Work: I mentioned there were some problems with gutters and asked if they could just take a look and report to me while cleaning. However, when the work was being done on gutters (also by Chinook) they reported debris in lower gutters, which appeared to have come from upper gutters during a severe rainstorm. They did come back and complete the cleaning.

Was told owner got the size from Zillow?, my understanding from real estate people that my house was 1800 sq ft. So, guess my one car garage made it more? Cleaned gutter but didn't clean up the mess on front and back porch until I asked them to. They got out blower and cleaned up. So, read contract carefully.

They did the entire job for an entire hour or an-hour-and-a-half. That was free of all the ladders and everything. The Big Deal price was a great price for me. They did a great job. They did not damage any plants. They were great. I will be calling them back in about a year because I get them cleaned every two years. I will be calling them back when I am ready.

Ā + 3 moreThe person who scheduled us was extremely friendly and professional. He got us on the calendar quickly during the weekday while we were at work. Not having seen our roof before, we agreed to a price for the holiday lights barring unforeseen conditions that would otherwise impact the project. As instructed, I unpacked the holiday lights and unwound them to enable the technicians to get to work hanging as quickly as possible. The crew showed up, assessed the roof with no complaint or adjustment to the quote, and began the job. However, they misjudged the amount of time required for the hanging of the lights. We got a phone call from the on-site technician stating that the crew wasn't done with the job yet, had exceeded the quoted price based on the time spent, and to finish would require us to pay even more. We told them to wrap it up and take off. They had left one of four 30' strings of lights unhung. I got a "How'd We Do" type email the following day from the business, and replied with a complaint. I was contacted within hours by the first person we spoke with to schedule the job. He was extremely apologetic, and quickly assured me that the situation was not how they do business. Evidently, the crew was brand new and was not aware of the company policy on time overages, etc. We were charged the agreed to price, and offered the crew back to finish the last string of lights. I was very pleased with the customer service and totally satisfied with the outcome. I would use them again based on their honesty, quick resolution and dedication to providing an excellent customer experience.

Ā + 2 moreWe hired this contractor to build a 8' x 11' wall to divide our bedroom space for a walk in closet with an open doorway. We provided all the materials. They sent out a very nice young man, Michael, who worked conscientiously even though our house is older and the surfaces he had to work with were uneven and unlevel. We were hoping the whole project would get finished within an 8 hour day, but with the problems encountered, the worker had to come back 2 more times to completely finish the job. As we were paying "by the hour", the cost ran a little bit over our budget After discussing this with Jay, the owner, he very graciously refunded us 25% of our total fee, assuring us that he really cared about his customers and wanted to make sure we were happy and used their services again. We were very happy about that and would use Chinook Services again in the future. Nice finished product!
