Description of Work: I purchased an Angie's List special, ie 2 hours of handyman services for $99.00. The scheduling went very well, the handyman showed up on time and did everything I requested. I did not have one part I needed and he went to the hardware store to obtain the part for which the company rightfully charged me. The only real problem I had was straightening out the extra charges which was corrected upon inquiry. I suggested that the company should call to confirm the appointment because it was made almost a month in advance. They agreed that they were working on that matter.

Description of Work: I call Chinook Services to arrange the appointment date and gave the scheduler details of the project. I told her the project involved painting an accent wall and that I would provide the paint. She informed me that I also had to provide some of the painting supplies but she didn't know exactly which ones. She said she have the guy assigned to do this job to call me to go over the details. This was a week before the actual appointment. The day before the appointment, I still had not heard from Chinook Services and I call them in the morning and told the scheduler I needed this information so that I could purchase the supplies. Their handyman called back in a few minutes and said he was never informed that he needed to call me to discuss the work before the appointment. At first, he stated all I needed was a $10.00 paint kit from Home Depot. When I asked him about the drop cloth, he said if I wanted a drop cloth that would be $2.00 per cloth and $6.00 for painter's tape ect. ect. This $199.0 deal was turning into a $260.00 nightmare. I told him I would probably cancel my appointment and after talking to Angie's List about my dissatisfaction with their lack of communication and "nickel and diming" the paint supplies, I cancelled the appointment.
